Email sent from one gmail account returns to a different gmail account

We have and iPhone 5s and an iPhone 6 as well as an iPad 2 and a MacBook Pro . The operating system is current on all of them. Something has changed such that when we send gmail messages from one gmail account replies are received in a different gmail account. This happens on all devices. What kind of setting do we need to change to correct this problem?

Try Mail/Preferences/Accounts /Account Information. Select an account, then go to Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP). From the drop down menu select Edit SMPT server list. Then set up a server for each mail account so that is associated with the e-mail address. Then go to each account and set that server as the Outgoing Mail Server (SMPT). You can click Use only this server if desired.

  • Only emails sent from one of my BIS addresses are forwarding to my BlackBerry Curve 8330

I got my first BlackBerry from Sprint last Monday, and later added a BlackBerry email address and three other accounts (1 an aol account, the other two from my own website servers), and all was working great. Then a day or so ago I set up filters on the AOL account to stop some of the newsletters and specific emails from going to and cluttering up my BlackBerry. Now, none of my emails are going through to the BlackBerry except those I send to myself from one of the registered email accounts.
I've deleted the filters, resent the Service Books, and re-registered the device through the Hosting Table, but nothing has worked. I only set up the filters to look for specific email addresses and not forward those the BlackBerry, but it seems to be filtering everything, and I can't seem to cancel the behavior.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Just wanted to report back to let everyone know I finally figured out the problem. I had inadvertently turned on the Firewall under Options -> Security Settings, to block the BIS server. All's well now.

  • How can I change the sender details on emails sent from one of 2 iphones linked to my itunes?

I have 2 iphones set up on my itunes, one for me and one for my husband, when he sends an email from his iphone it shows as being sent by me not him. His hotmail email is set as the default on settings and it is his emails in the inbox, how can I change this?

Use Settings > iCloud. Choose Sign Out at the bottom and then Sign In with your iCloud ID.

  • Why does email sent from one Thunderbird inbox end up in another's sent file

My husband and I each have Thunderbird emails. Occasionally, when he sends a message out of his inbox, it ends up in my "sent" file, and labeled from me. But, when there is a reply from the recipient (or a bounce back), it comes into his inbox. So, why is the original ending up in the wrong sent file?

Check your settings in ''account settings / copies & folders'' where '''sent''' should be saved.

    Hello,
Check the property of alert for that web application using STSADM. If it is not enable then enable it.
    Stsadm.exe -o getproperty -url http://web-App-URL -pn alerts-enabled

  • Email sent from iPad main account arrives from gmail address

Email sent from iPad main account arrives from gmail address

I have solved this. The main account SMTP setting was wrong so it was using the next outgoing mail server available which was Gmail. Disabling Gmail as an alternative highlighted that the main one was wrong. I fixed the main SMPTP outgoing server address and all now working. Hope this helps.

  • One Yahoo! mail account does not receive email sent from .mac

OK, this is an odd problem, and any help would be appreciated.
My girlfriend's Yahoo! mail account does not receive email sent from my .mac address. If I send email from my Gmail or Yahoo! accounts she receives the message. No one else has informed me that they haven't received email from the .mac address. Additionally, the .mac account is in her address book.
Anyway, has anyone seen a similar pattern with Yahoo! or any other email provider?
    Thanks.
    - Jennings

Thanks for the reply . . . and yes, the recipient's email provider likely holds the answer.
However, I was hoping someone here might have had a similar experience and could answer as the email provider is Yahoo, and they are slow in responding to help requests . . . for a period I hosted a personal, paid website through Yahoo Domains and help tickets lingered for several days on multiple occasions (this being the reason the site is no longer hosted by Yahoo). I also doubt Yahoo will expend too much energy resolving a problem for a free email account.
Anyway, I posted in the Yahoo mail forums, and hopefully something will come-up . . . .

  • I have several email account setup on iphone.  for one of them can receive from/to emails from phone, but emails sent from computer not received on phone.  phone shows receiving but does not come thru

I have iphone 4s with several email accounts set up.  For one of these accounts, and only one, test emails sent from phone come thru fine.  But computer generated mail doesn't come to phone.  For test messages phone shows "receiving" but nothing comes to inbox.  External sent mail does not  come to phone inbox, but does to outlook on computer.  Have checked settings and these seem correct.  What's up?  Four other accounts work fine.

If you can send e-mail when on WiFi from home, but not when on 3G, that indicates your email provider is blocking e-mail being sent from outside their network. This is done to control Spam. ISPs who do this will usually have a separate SMTP server that should be used when using a mobile device. Check with them again.

  • The email sent from macbook do not appear in my iphone and yahoo account

the email sent from macbook do not appear in my iphone and yahoo account

thanks for your help... I was feeling frustrated because the sync problem, but with your suggestion all contacts are now on my iPhone. _Thanks once again_.
I think that I was asking two different questions at the same time, because the problem with the iPhone synchronization was solved, but the .Mac Address Book still has no new contacts... just the contacts before the Mac OS X update to Leopard. I guess that I will need to look for help in other discussion topic.

  • GW 8 server want to cc emails sent from a certain account

We have a unique situation where we have an application that sends emails using a groupwise id so the emails are not sent through a Groupwise client or any client for that matter. Is there a configuration setting somewhere that will allow me to set it up so that all emails sent from this id are copied to itself.
    Hopefully this makes sense :)

So this is an internal objectapi based app that sends to internal
    addresses?
Nope no way. But maybe I am misunderstanding that should still create a
sent item. Or is this using mapi?

  • Why does an email sent from an iPad or iPhone to ms outlook appear with attachments? Example signatures tend to be broken down into a series of unwanted attachments!

Why does an email sent from an iPad or iPhone to ms outlook appear with attachments? Example: signatures at the bottom of the mail tend to be broken down into a series of unwanted attachments!

It worked for me. I took a picture with the iPhone's camera. Then opened the Photos app and selected the picture, and emailed it from one of my IMAP accounts to my gmail (also IMAP) account. When it showed up in the gmail inbox (on my iPhone), I forwarded it to my yahoo mail account (choosing the "inlcude attachments" option). When that showed up on my iPhone's yahoo inbox, the picture was there just as it should be.
So I guess the next thing would be to try it with non-iPhone pictures to see if it is a problem with image size or something. I have some 6-megapixel images in iPhoto I can try (taken as RAW/DEC format pictures with my dSLR).
Just tried it sending a Photo from my computer's iPhoto library - picture is 728KB, 2272x1704 jpeg. I emailed it to my gmail account, and it showed up on the iPhone just fine. Then I forwarded that to my yahoo account and again, it showed up just fine on both the iPhone and reading my yahoo mail via the web page.
Don't know what to say - I don't mean this to be just another "works for me" post. I was hoping to see something maybe depending on the size and origin of the picture.
By the way, my 3GS shipped with 3.0.1 on it, and I've updated it via iTunes normally to 3.1.1 and currently 3.1.2. Sorry I don't have anything constructive to add.

  • BCC automatically on emails sent from smartphone

I had a Treo 650 running palm software and it had a setting where I could bcc myself automatically on all email sent from my phone. I can not find a setting like this on my Treo 750 running Windows - does anyone know if one exists? I like to have copies of my sent emails so I can file them in folders on my computer. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks

I'm having the same issue. I redirect my work email into my gmail account (which is sent to my 750- Window Mobile 6) and when I reply I want to always BCC. This functionality was simple with my old 680 running Palm OS.
Have you found a solution yet!?!!?!?
    Thanks

For anyone else reading this thread, it is worth knowing that sometimes an email is, or can be, corrupted thereby jamming the works. The solution above is good, but I just wanted to suggest another one.
If the problem arises, go to an online mail access service, such as Mail2Web.com and login to you mail account there and delete the offending message.
    Problem solved.
And George, as this is all entirely voluntary, whinging about no takers may not endear people to you. Besides which, a few minutes of searching on Google would have found you a number of solutions.

  • Different email sent from

My company only gives me POP server settings. It asks me use my ISP or third party out going server to sent email. I setup the email SENT from Gmail but SHOWS my company's email address on Gmail web mail. Can I setup the same thing on iPhone? How?
Hope I made it clear. I want to send Email from my iPhone through Gmail "[email protected]", but recipient will see it is from my company's mail address "[email protected]". Of course it also shows "sent through gmail", but that's not a problem for my case.
Thank you so very much in advance!

Rather than using authenticated accounts, have you considered whitelisting the source IP address to allow unauthenticated traffic from those devices? (I'd recommend ensuring you have Outbound port 25 restricted to those particular devices on your
firewall before going this direction.)  You can configure an Inbound Connector in EOP to accept mail from specific IP addresses without requiring TLS/authentication.
