Email sent while ePrint was offline

If the ePrint was offline when someone sent email to it will it still print or be in a que to print?

Hi there, the job will stay in a queue for 24 hours, after which time if it has not successfully completed it will be removed from the queue.
Hope this information helps but post back if you're experiencing any problems getting ePrint to work on your printer.
Best.

  • Email sent when printer was offline = no print?

    Hello
I have sent an email to my printer when it was off, but now that it is online it still doesn't print. Do I have to click somewhere to start the printing?
I can see my document in the ePrint Center with status "pending", but there is nothing else to click then "cancel"... What can I do?
Thank you in advance for any reply.
    Regards,
    Tony

    Hi Anthonidas,
What is the status of the printer on ePrintCenter.com?  If it shows "Not Connected," you can turn the printer off, wait 20 to 30 seconds then turn the printer back on and check the status again after a minute or two by pressing the "Refresh" button.  If it is still "Not Connected," I would turn the printer and router off, wait 20 to 30 seconds, turn the router on, wait one to two minutes then turn the printer on and check it again.  Jobs that are sent when the printer is turned off should print automatically if you turn the printer back on within 24 hours of the job being received.  There is no way to restart the job from the website.  Please let me know what happens.

  • Some actions taken while account was offline in Lion

"Some actions taken while the account ... was offline could not be completed online."  I have seen this message mentioned in Leopard and Snow Leopard.  I never got it in that.  I am getting it since Lion 10.7.4.  About accounts that appeared to be online at the time.  Moreover, there are messages that were sent, in that they show up in Sent mailbox, and in at least one case today I got a reply back, but here they are in the Recovered mailbox.  So were they sent or not?  Can I believe my Sent box or not?  And what "actions" were "undone ... on some messages"?  There is no list of that anywhere that I can see.

Did you solve this? Do you still see it in 10.6.2? I have
had this issue as well and am looking for an answer.

  • How can I troubleshoot this problem with the iMac keyboard? My keyboard disconnects and reconnects within seconds but all the typing is lost while it was offline.  This is usually 5 seconds or less but happens 2 or 3 times in a minute.  Annoying!

My wireless keyboard disconnects and reconnects within seconds but all text that was typed during the time offline is missing.  i have to go back and retype missing parts.  What can I do to troubleshoot this.  The computer is only about six month old.  This problem is new in the last couple weeks.  Thanks for suggestions.

Beat me to it, Donald.     But there is a possible alternative.  If the batteries have been replaced since new, were they replaced with the same batteries or another make.    There are examples around which do not fit perfectly and leave a certain amount of movement inside the battery housing.  That could lead to instability such as the OP describes.

  • I have 2PCs with T/B can I get emails sent to one on the other temp measure.

I have two computers using thunderbird for emails, as I intend updating the one of them that I get my main emails sent to I was wondering if when I have it offline would it be possible to get my emails using the other computer ( it is a Ubuntu computer.)

Are you using IMAP or POP? See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/glossary-terms-including-types-accounts
If you are using IMAP, you can access email from either computer and it will still be available on the other.
If you are using POP, you can specify to leave messages on the server. Otherwise, when you read a message on one, it will not be available on the other.

  • Why was something was being sent while offline?  I am on cable.

While I was on my mail, the cable went offline but kept flashing "send" and "pc activity" on the cable modem. I clicked on "get mail" and noticed some message was flashing on and off. I then clicked on it and held down on my mouse and it brought up the message: "gathering children from disk for local account."
Does anyone know what that would mean? The cable company would not give me any answer. They suggested I contact Apple. I believe it did not have anything to do with Apple.

But what does the term "gathering children from disk for local account" mean? Also the other thing it said was the cable co.'s address "pop+(cable co.'s name). Something does not seem right. If I was on their home page nothing would work, but I was on my Mac mail which is quite different than their mailbox. It brings the same mail in.
I am sure that this is not being explained the way it should be, but, after approx. 20 years on the computer, I am still a novice.
The same thing happened again last night and the "gathering children from disk for local account" is not a term I have ever seen and I believe it comes from the cable company's service through their modem or network. A repairman comes today to check it out and I am sure nothing will be found.
About 15 minutes after I talked to the company, everything was working fine.

  • Some actions taken while the account was offline Part 2

Some of us were getting this message with IMAP accounts: "Some actions taken while the account was offline could not be completed." with Leopard. Along with this, an email, usually too large to send, would keep saving itself in the drafts folder. The fix for this was to delete the OfflineCache folder in the IMAP folder. Well, we upgraded to Snow Leopard and now I am having the same thing happen. Except now, I dont get the message and the messages save to Recovered Messages. So I tried the old trick and that folder doesn't exist anymore. What do you guys suggest we do?

To check if you have a virus, you can download ClamXav
also, go to Applications>Utilities>Activity Monitor and see if there's anything that you don't recognize, and check your sent email to see if you've been sending emails without your knowledge.

  • Why did I lose all my iPhone contacts while I was writing an email?

I was simply writing an email on my iPhone 3GS today and as I was entering an email address into the To: field the iPhone suddenly went back to a home page (as in if you were in an app and then pressed the home button).  This has happened before without any apparent damage so I went back to my email.  However, when I went to enter the email address (again) I noticed that this time around it wouldn't offer any suggested email addresses as I was entering the first few characters.
Now I'm getting a bit nervous.  Just about then my wife called, but instead of seeing the screen show my wife's contact info as the phone rang, I just got the generic phone number view.
After the call I opened my contacts and they were completely and totally missing.
I have no idea where they are or why they went AWOL.
I understand that I can use iTunes to restore them (I synced a couple of days ago - so I don't think I'll lose any/many) and I don't use MobileMe.
So, my question is what happened to my contacts??  Is there a known bug that that I tripped over to cause my contacts to vanish?  I don't think I did anything odd - but is there something I could've done?
While I can restore from iTunes I'd rather know why this happened and is there something to prevent it in the future......
How about it gurus - can anyone help?

Not sure why, but since contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer and there are a number of free email accounts that support syncing contacts over the air such as with an Apple iCloud account, Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail, there is no reason for contacts being lost under any circumstances even if your iPhone were lost or stolen or damaged beyond repair.

  • I believe some how some way my iPhone or appleID has been hacked into.  My iPhone sent 3 iMessages out that I did not type or send - 2 while I was sleeping and one while I was in mid imessage conversation.  Please help if you know anything about this!

I believe that my iPhone or apple ID has been hacked into.  Three imessages were sent from my phone that I did not type or send - two while I was asleep at 1:15am and in the morning during an iMessage conversation.  These messages were to my boyfriend about my boss.  Apple and AT&T have been somewhat helpful but both are pointing fingers at the others saying they cannot track the message or see if my personal information has been compromised.  I feel extremely violated because this hacker knows who my boyfriend is and who my boss is and I just started this job two weeks ago!  I am about to go to the police because this person is trying to taint my good reputation and destroy my relationships at work and in my personal life.  Does anyone have any incite on how this could be done and is there any way to trace where those three iMessages were generated from??

No I have my own iPhone iPad and MacBook  so everything is set up on devices that are mine and as far as I know I never connected to anyone else's device and logged with my apple ID.  But are you saying it is possible for someone to have obtained my apple ID and send an iMessage from their device with my contact information so it looks like it came directly from me?  It's crazy I looked down at my iPhone and saw this message had just been sent that I did not type or send

  • I turned my email server off so that my emails wouldn't come to my Iphone while I was communicating abroad.  When I turned it on again it will not receive emails says check you have entered the correct details.  I haven't altered the details

I turned my email off on my I phone while I was receiving emails from abroad.  When I turned it back on I get the message my server is not responding verify you have entered your email correct account info in mail settings, but I haven't altered my mail settings.?
How do I put this right, I tried connecting to icloud but had to turn the mail off in that it kept throwing up all my past emails.

Is that a new iPhone? Bring it in to Apple for a replacement.
    But do this first:
hold the Home Button and the Power Button at the same time, keep holding, ignore everything on the screen, keep holding until you see the white Apple logo appear, then let go and let it start up.
It should charge both when on and off, unless you connect throug a hub and there are current eaters also on the hub: connect directly to the usb port.

  • Some actions taken while the account "MobileMe" was offline could not be completed online.

Any help I keep getting this message when I start mail?

Some actions taken while the account “MobileMe” was offline could not be completed online.
Mail has undone actions on some messages so that you can redo the actions when online. Mail has saved other messages in mailbox “Recovered Messages (MobileMe)” in “On My Mac” so that you can complete the actions when online.

  • I have been sent an email saying my podcast was accepted and will be up on iTunes in a few hours. That was 5 hours ago. How long should this process take?

I have been sent an email saying my podcast was accepted and will be up on iTunes in a few hours. That was 5 hours ago. How long should this process take?

There's no fixed time. If it's been accepted - presumably you've been given a URL? - it should appear reasonably soon. However it can dake some days before it turns up in the search results. The podcast image, if you have one, may also take some days to appear.

  • How can I view the iMessages that were sent to me while I was out of the country?

How can I view the iMessages that were sent to me while I was out of the country? They never loaded, but people have told me that they sent me many iMessages while I was gone.
I figured they would load when I turned on my cellular data, but only my text messages loaded. I would like to see the iMessages I missed because I believe some of them were fairly important.
I would really appreciate somebody's help!

As far as I understand with this, iMessage works the same as regular txts. The iMessages are held on the messaging server for 72hrs if it's not picked up by then it expires. So those that you didn't get you will never get. Sorry.
