Email Server Constantly Down

"Oops! Something just went wrong on our server! We've logged the problem and will fix it as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience."
This problem has existed for days. I have never successfully been able to send an email message to my printer. Is it me, or does anyone else have this problem?

Yup, I'm having the same problem. I'm sick of this printer. Can't print from my iPad using AirPrint and I scan anymore from my Mac because of a driver update.

Why do we have to manually recreate our accounts each time the email server goes down?

On very infrequent occassions (fortunately), our email server will go off-line. Whenever this happens, every one of us has to login to the Blackberry Internet Service website to reenter the account information. This is very annyoing. Why doesn't it just automatically reconnect when the email server goes back up?

No idea why. I'm guessing the the BIS system goes to check for email and can't find the account. Then it sends you the email to revalidate and it won't check again until you do. If it was setup to check too many times with, say, a wrong password, it may lock the account. This is only a guess on my part.
Your people with accounts setup like this should know how to go to their email setup on their device and validate the password. It's not very complicated and takes only a moment.

Email server offline

This problem began before upgrading to Mavericks but remains unchanged. My email server constantly responds "Mail was unable to connect to server “mail.speakeasy.net” using SSL on port 955. Verify that this server supports SSL and that your account settings are correct." My settings have been the same for several years and tech support on the server end confirms that they are correct, and on their web site, all email comes and goes as it should. I have an AOL account that works, a Road Runner account that works, and a Gmail account that sometimes goes offline but which can be coaxed back into service. But my two speakeasy accounts refuse to connect.
Any suggestions where I should look next?

Iphoto emailing of photos not functioning. Recieve notice that my server is down...which is not the case

My iphoto email service will not complete the sending of photos attached to an email. I get a notice to the effect that action was not completed because
either I'm not connected to the internet or my server is "down." Niether is the case. I have tried to send to myself at both my gmail address (mailing from
the gmail address) and to my other email account, as well as to others at different accounts. Is there any way to restore this function? Thank you.

as to theiPhoto mail issue - there was a recent post about Cloud mail changing servers and iPHoto not being able to follow the change so either finding the correct mail server from time to time and entering it or using Mail which does not seem to have that problem is necessary - I use mail so have no recent experience with the iPhoto email client

I'm told by my website hosts that I need to 'reconfigure authentication" but I have no idea how to do this, they are now closed for the weekend and I need it fixed before Monday morning. Could anyone tell me where to find step by step instructions. I've tried but have made matters worse and the couple of mail accounts that WERE still receiving email are now also not.

Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.

EMail Alter when Essbase Server is down....

Hi,
I am on Essbase 7 & Windows server. Essbase is running as service in the server.
Current Process: Whenever the essbase server is down or not responding, we don't have a clear cut mechanism to identify that the server is down, until unless some user notify us the issues and we later we correct the issue
Needed Process: is it possible to send an alert to the admin when ever the essbase server is down or some kind of alert from essbase.
Any help is much appreciated.

1. Use custom java functiion to email from your calc script. You can find complete information about Java API from following link: - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10530_01/doc/epm.931/html_esb_api/api_j/japistart.htm. Also please refer chapter 30 Developing Custom-Defined Calculation Functions of Essbase Administration Guide.
2. You BLAT or another email program to send an email from your batch file e.g.
sendmail -b E:\Logs\Dataload.log -s "Subject of the mail (data load status)." -f Sendersemail -r Recievers email -r Receiver’s email -X HQSMTP.yourcompany.net

two days now, can't send email. exact message from outlook is:
Task - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
have had the same DSL for 9 years..
occurs on outlook 2010 under win7 x64 ultimate, outlook 2007 under vista x64 ultimate, outlook 2007 under vista premium, and outlook 2003 under XP64, (all different computers).
outgoing server name has not changed on my end 'outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net'.
is the outgoing email server down?
ping shows timeout to 98.139.211.191 smtp.vzn.mail.fy4.b.yahoo.com (25% loss of packets)

Unless it's confirmed officially that your phone is defective, then you can ask for a replacement. Or you have to live with you. However you can trade it for a new one if you don't care the price drop.

Sometimes deleting the account and then re-creating it can solve this issue
Write down all the information in accounts before doing this
Highlight the account on the left and click the minus button
Then click the plus button to add the new account and follow the prompts

Once the adapter engine tries for the standard retry time and interval, it will change the message status to System Error.
Create Alert Rule for the Adapter Engine errorrs. SelectAdapter Engine and make the adapter type as All. Rest is same

Deployment of Web Application when the managed Server is down .....

Part of our installation, we want to deploy our web application on to a managed server.
So, we use the JMX API calls to deploy the web application. But, at the time of this deployment the managed server is not brought up. So, our expectation was that when the managed server is brought up later, it will automatically STAGE the web application from Admin Server and then, deploy it in the managed server.
But, what is happending is that the web application is not being deployed to the managed server (even though the web application is configured to be deployed in the specified managed server in the config.xml and it is set as the default application of the managed server application).
We are using WebLogic 7.0 SP2 on RedHat Linux 7.2.
Can anyone help to deploy web application on to a managed server when the managed server is down ?

OSB dashboard Service Health tab broken when a managed server is down

I have shut down one of the managed servers in my three-member OSB 10.3.1 cluster to load test the reduced configuration, and that has broken the "service health" tab on the OSB console dashboard.
The problem is that with the mgd1 server shut down (the one the Singleton marker ear is deployed to, if that matters), in the OSB console's Dashboard everything in the "Service Health" tab is broken. I get the warning message "Unable to obtain metrics data from the server" at the top of the page whenever I go to the dashboard. I can't even look at the displays for the individual (mgd2, mgd3) servers that are running. I get the following error in the log when trying to access the service health for the services in the cluster, or even if I try to get the health of services in either of the two remaining cluster members individually:

Also, as part of the load test procedure, I need to collect performance stats from the proxy service pipeline and the business service. To do this, I've written JMX code called out of soapUI scripts to reset the stats on these services before the run, then collect the stats after the run ends; the code connects to the admin server. This too is broken when the mgd1 server is shut down.
I get the error below when trying to collect the cluster stats from the Admin server from the JMX code. This error is fatal, and no statistics come back from the rest of the cluster either. (you can ignore all the groovy stuff in the stack trace, it's the nested Exceptions that are more interesting).
Does anyone have an idea about what's going on, and how I fix this? I would have thought the DomainService Runtime MBean would be able to catch and handle an Exception like this if one of the managed servers were down, and collect the stats from the available part of the cluster, but it looks like that's not the case.

As a follow-up, does anyone know if I can simply retarget the two OSB Singleton Marker Apps (shown below from config.xml) to another server instance to fix this and any other Singleton issues (e.g., flie transport, ftp, and email pollers), or is it more involved than that?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Email Server Shuts Itself Off

Using Mountain Lion Server. I was getting errors when trying to send emails and was curious as to why I was not receiving any.
I checked the email server to find it was switched off. I turned it back on and a couple of minutes later it switched itself off again. I have rebooted a couple of times and tried the same excercise always with the same result. I switch it on, a couple of minutes later it switches itself off.
Any ideas?

Everything appears to be OK there. Its very bizarre behaviour as it was running for a couple of weeks with no problem and now this has cropped up.
Server is Mac Mini i7 4mb ram.
My DHCP is dynamic but is constantly updated with a permanent DYNDNS link - I have checked that and my ISP IP has not changed in over a month.
Server is definiately not .local
All other aspects of the Server, filesharing etc are running fine and I can log in remotely with various user accounts an access everything according to the set privileges.
if I check www.xxxxx.me in the web it gives the correct homepage (the basic default one)
Other than DynDNS updater and Server I have nothing else running on the Mac Mini.
