Email Settings for email with no static IP Address

Hi,
I have been a Blackberry fan for years and have setup countless Blackberry's for friends. I recently changed jobs and therefore, had to change my email settings, to receive work emails on my Blackberry Torch. I emailed our hosting company and asked for the settings to setup my phone, I received this response: (have blanked out my details for security reasons)
To setup the email account on your BlackBerry device you will need the following information
Email address: ********@******.co.za
username: ********
Password: ********
Incoming mail server: The incoming mail server is tricky as your organisation doesn’t have a static IP address. For now try IP Address: **.***.***.***
I have tried these settings as well as the settings in my Outlook account settings folder (the incoming server on my Outlook is a local IP Address, to the server in our office)
None of which have worked. I have contacted both our hosting company and Vodacom (my BB service provider) neither are able to assist me? Even my husband (who is an IT specialist has tried, with no luck) I then tried to use the BIS html option to find my settings, but for some reason Vodacom does not allow this, I received this error message when trying to logon/register: Your account is not accessible via HTML browser. Please use your device to access BlackBerry Internet Service.
Could someone please help? Even if it's just a step by step guide on how to setup this type of email account? Any assistance would be appreciated!

Yup, the routine settings didn't work, i also tried adding the additional settings manually, and this did not work either.

I have a Q10 that is normally on the Telus network. Spending time in TX I've unlocked the Q10 and installed a T-Mobile SIM. Great. Got a TX phone number and BBM and web browsing work perfectly.
But. Although my Telus email accounts make all incoming email available on the handheld, I cannot send email through the Telus accounts.
For reference the accounts are setup as:
(These are the default settings inserted automatically when I setup the Q10.)

Email Addresss: [email protected]
Server Address: imap.telus.net
Port: 143
Encription: Off
IMAP Path Prefix: [blank]
SMTP Username: [blank]

In searching for a solution I found this (outdated?) KB article KB33691 which notes at the bottom that the settings only allow outgoing mail when connected to a Telus network.
What settings do I use to allow incoming and outgoing Telus email when connected to a non-Telus network?

Hello FYIP.
Okay, I thought there must be some sort of magic or secret setting. I called Telus as you suggested and within 10 minutes the tech support guy solved the problem. He looked on some list and confirmed that the standard settings should work fine for T-Mobile. He then advised me to delete the affected Telus email accounts on the Q10 and recreate them again. All defaults were accepted. Exception was fields where a password was required and auto-populated he told me to erase and retype the password.
Voila! All is good. Outgoing and incoming mail work just fine.
Way to go Telus. Count me as another satisfied customer.

When I bought my iPhone 5s I set up the email account for iCloud with a Shaw Cable address. Shaw was my ISP. I changed ISP's which rendered my iCloud email account as useless. I did reset my AppleID but it didn't change for iCloud. How can I change?

I bought my iPhone 5s and set up the AppleID for iCloud to be the same as the Apple ID I already used for iTunes and the App store. I was using @shaw.ca as part of the emaill address. I changed my ISP to save money so had to change the Apple ID. I had no issues changing it for iTunes and the App store, but it wouldn't change for iCloud. I don't recall the password and can't have it sent to me as that address does not work any longer.

Yes, you understood correctly. From your explanation, you created your hotmail.ca ID by revising the shaw.ca ID. Given that, you should perform the steps listed in my original post:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless using iCloud Photo Library). When finished goThen go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).

Hello hdlane, let's get to the bottom of this together! To turn on sync settings for email, scroll down from the top of the home screen. At the top right there is a button with three squares & two arrows facing in opposite directions. This is the "More Settings" section. Press this option and it iwill open a list. Near the bottom of the list turn on sync and the emails will update.

I agree with Bistesh. But after Outgoing e-mail settings are configured properly, if the issue still exists,
It may result from your Anti-Virus. Please refer to the following steps:
Open MCAfee Console and go to Access Protection window.
Click Anti-Virus Standard Protection and edit “prevent mass mailing
worms from sending emails” rule.
Now we need to know which processes are being blocked therefore we need to check the MCAfee Log located at
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\McAfee\DesktopProtection\AccessProtectionLog.txt
you may find entries of DtExec , DtExecUI and DatabaseMail90, now these processes need to be entered in the exclusion list of selected rule .
Reset the IIS And SharePoint Timer service to check if this works for you.

Settings for email applications other than MyVerizon

The "new" settings for email applications other than MyVerizon (in my case Thunderbird) does not alow my antivirus program (Avast) to scan incoming mail because of the secure connection setting "SSL".

Based on what you posted you failed to check the SSL box.

Is it possible to save a set of settings for use with the Export using Quicktime Conversion feature? The reason I ask is that we have to export a quicktime of every tv commercial we make (using the same settings) and it would be great if "one click" could deliver the export settings we need.

Well, you can create a droplet from Compressor that would do what you'd like...
Open compressor and in the Help menu, Select the user manual. Navigate to page 315.
