Email setup for Test Workbench

Hi
I am looking to setup Email notifications for Test Workbench.
Such as, automatically emailing testers when Test packages are assigned
Emailing Developers when a Test Problem Report is created.
How do i do this? Does anyone have any documentation they can share?
Really need some help.
Many thanks

Yes Ramesh,
By setting up ChaRM the following actions can be triggered automatically,
1) When a requestor creates support message based on an error, service desk employee will be notified automatically
2) A developer will be notified when a change manager in the service desk assigns a developement task assigns.
3) When the developer completes the task, change manager will be notified again.
4) Then, a tester will be notified when change manager assigns a tester.
and many other things also there in the sequence.
Regards,
Satish.

  • POP3 & IMAP Email setup for both Wifi & Cell use separately...

    Hello,
I was asked to post info about this by an iPhone support rep.
I initially had lots of trouble setting accounts for use with both my WiFi home and office networks and for use through the ATT cell network.
If you have a question as to how to setup email for both WiFi and Cell use, answer is you can't configure these manually and you don't want to...the phone does this automatically...and seamlessly. (you will NOT see the change in the advanced settings menu, this occurs internally, the settings appear the same)
The problem: Accounts changing settings automatically...when manually configuring two separate accounts with the same email address but trying to setup the outgoing settings for different ports...one for WiFi (your broadband server acct / port 587) and one for Cell (cwmx.com / port 25)...THIS WON'T WORK!! My WiFi configured email accounts would automatically switch to Cellular configured email accounts as long as they had the same email address. Even though I gave them different names, the phone looks at the "actual email address" and if they are the same it changes your configuration to match the other account (it does this by matching the account that was either ON or OFF first and as soon as you match the second account to that setting (either ON or OFF) the phone switches the settings to match the first account.
The Solution: (End of the Story first for those who have or are facing this problem): Be sure to setup the email accounts for use with your WiFi account first (and ONLY), as when you leave the WiFi area or turn off the WiFi setting the email account will automatically reconfigure itself for use with the ATT Cellular network...then the settings will switch back when you re-connect to the WiFi area(s). The settings that you will "SEE" are your setup for WiFi, this will not change even when using the Edge network (at least not what is displayed in the "advanced" menu). You will still see Port 587, even though the phone is changing setups internally and changes back once back on a WiFi network, you just don't see the changes.
    *I hope this helps!*
(more details below for those who might be interested and _for those who may be trying to setup using COMCAST Broadband_)...
My issue began because I could not get my Comcast setup to work for outgoing email. So I was advised to setup for the Edge port settings by an iPhone support person from ATT...this was a huge error. Because I attempted to do this it actually kept the phone from smoothly converting settings as needed. I only discovered this after resolving the actual problem with my WiFi (Comcast Broadband settings) issue which was actually the setup that MUST HAVE a user ID and Password, at least when using a Comcast Broadband account. Unlike the rest of my XP and ME computers on my networks which do not require this info, the iPhone DOES.
Because I could not get outgoing mail to work with my broadband setup I attempted to setup two accounts for each email address...one for Cellular and one for WiFi for when I would figure out my problem...or for just sending email more quickly. This does not work as the conflict causes a nightmare. This is something the iPhone support folks should have explained but failed to do so, perhaps as they didn't know this?
Bottom line: Let the phone do the choosing...it works great and will avoid YOU wasting TWO DAYS and more than 12 hours on the phone with iPhone Support as I did. I eventually figured the port switching issues and solutions on my own through trial and error and luckily one bright iPhone support person advised me that he knew for sure that when using the iPhone with Comcast you must setup "outgoing settings" using an "ID" and "Password" which I was provided by Comcast in only a few minutes. I don't use their emial account but I setup one just for this purpose. Once done, my email accounts began working normally. Once I resolved the conflict issues listed above the phone now works great both WiFi and Cell.

    fullspool,
Comcast offers an authenticating SMTP server that should work for you on WiFi and EDGE both.
The settings are linked in this Apple knowledge base article:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306074
    The Comcast link is:
    http://www.comcast.net/help/faq/index.jsp?faq=Emailtop18913
From that link the settings are:
    Your email address: [email protected]
    The email server type (POP)
    Incoming mail server: mail.comcast.net
    Outgoing mail server: smtp.comcast.net
With SSL on for both incoming and outgoing.
    Hope this helps,

  • Outgoing Email Setup for Knology - Does anyone know the server setting?

A friend cannot find the Knology server settings for outgoing mail...Knology company was no help.
Does anyone know the proper settings?
    Thanks

    DBunch07,
I was able to find this site in their support pages:
    http://support.knology.net/content/email.setup.cfm
If the suggested setting from there smtp.knology.net, does not work, they may require different settings for when you aren't connected directly to them. For example when using EDGE or a WiFi Hotspot.
I have found that asking email provider's tech support for what mail server settings to use while you are travelling and using a laptop will often get the correct settings to use for the iPhone. However, if they say they only offer webmail for when you are travelling, you will not be able to use their outgoing server on EDGE or at WiFi Hotspots, because they have chosen to block outgoing access when you are not on their network.
While connected to EDGE, you can use cwmx.com to send email out. It only works while on EDGE, and does not require a username or password, since it goes off of the authentication for using EDGE with AT&T.
AT&T's knowledge base article about cwmx.com is here:
    http://www.wireless.att.com/support/knowledgeBase.do?content=KB72769.html
You will have to turn off WiFi when you want to send email though.
This article discusses the issues in more depth:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305634
    Hope this helps,
    Nathan C.

  • Email addresses for testing notification

We use our test environment for training users of various modules as well as for testing developer changes. While the workflow config file allows setting TEST_ADDRESS to a single override mailbox, this does not provide sufficient flexibility.
One idea that would provide the desired flexibility is to simply change user email addresses in WF_LOCAL_ROLES. This could be done on an ad hoc basis, but we then have the problem of maintaining an override address through the directory service nightly synch.
Has anyone developed a simple method for handling both ad hoc and persistent overrides for notification mailing addresses?

  • My Galaxy S III email setup for Yahoo isn't working

I'm not able to setup my Galaxy S III for Yahoo mail. I get an message 80315, that the username or password is incorrect. They're not--I tried several times! I tried using both the Yahoo setup and the generic Other manual setup. It retrieved all the info from Yahoo OK, but at the end gave me the same message, about my username or password being incorrect.
(I encountered a similar problem with live.com, which I was able to fix using the Manual setup.)

Yahoo email setup has been troublesome for a while for android devices.  Try the Yahoo app from the Play Store instead.

I assume you wish to use your personal email on the phone in which case you need a Blackberry Data Plan (normally called a BIS plan) so give your carrier a call. If you want to use your work email you need to contact your works IT department.

  • Cox BUSINESS Email Setup for iPad

I have a *Cox Business* internet account (business accounts are *different from* residential accounts - different servers, etc) with a static ip address and I cannot send email from my iPad via wi-fi Airport network. (Wi-Fi only iPad, not 3G.)
There was a time when I had it working, but a simple one sentence email would take over 10 minutes to send. It was odd. Now it's not sending at all.
My incoming email is through my business email account (via GoDaddy) and it works well. No issues.
Currently, the outgoing settings on my iMac work great for my iMac, but don't seem to translate to the iPad. These iMac setting are:
    *iMac Outgoing Email Settings:*
    Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smarthost.coxmail.com
    Custom port: 25
    Authentication: none
*iPad Outgoing settings* that previously worked (sort of):
    Host name: smarthost.coxmail.com
    User: blank
    Pass: blank
    Use SSL: Off
Authentication: MD5 Challenge-Response (it will NOT set to password - will not "stick" or save on exit)
    Server Port: 587
    +Any help would be appreciated.+

I had actually written a message previously that I just deleted explaining that what you had written doesn't work. I've tried it several times and it made no difference.
Then, I did something that I have not attempted or noticed:
I reset the outgoing cox settings to match my iMac settings listed above (that previously would not work), BUT in the order of listed outgoing servers my mobileme outgoing server (which actually works for outgoing MobileMe emails; don't know why) was listed first in the Primary slot.
It was "On" and I turned it "off" leaving only my cox outgoing settings turned on and it is in the secondary/backup slot. I then sent a test email and it worked just fine.
So the answer is that the settings for ipad outgoing cox business email are the same as your mac/computer, but do not have your MobileMe outgoing server turned on and, for some reason, do not have the cox server set in the primary slot. For example, if I put the cox server in the primary slot then it doesn't work anymore. Weird.
If you do not have MobileMe then I'm not sure what to say, but I have tried these settings with cox being the only outgoing server in the primary slot and it did not work... For me.

  • Setup for testing server "the prefix does not match.."

I am just getting started using Adobe Dreamweaver CS3
    with AppServ (Apache, Php, MySQL).
Im using Windows XP Service Pack 2 and and test it on the
    same computer.(localhost)
I created a folder on my hard drive
    C:\AppServ\www\MyLocalSite.
Here´s the setup under the Advanced tab in Dreamweaver:
    Server model:
    php Mysql
    Acess:
    local network
    Testing server folder:
    AppServ/www
    URL Prefix:
    http://localhost/MyLocalSite
When I click OK, the following message is displayed:
The site URL Prefix for the testing server does not
    match..
I have run a lot of sites on my localhost but never ever
    get this unusual message.
The worst is - I cant use the Recordset with Bindings in
Dreamweaver CS3 if I dont solve this weird "prefix" problem.
I ´ve tried a lot of workaround solutions but always end
    up with the message
that prompt "the prefix does not match.."
Is it a bug or what?
    I appreciate every answer
    Update
    21:47.................................................................................... .
I´ve tried to configure a connection to the database
and I end up with this message:
    1) There is no testing server running on the server machine
    2) The testing server specified for this site does not map
    the
    http://localhost:80/myLocalSite/_mmServerScripts/MMHTTPDB.php
    URL.
Verify that the Prefix maps to the root of the site
The server is running and is working when I request my local
    site in IE 7:
    localhost/myLocalSite/index.php

I too had been experiencing this problem after installing XP
    service pack 3 last week.
Too fix this issue I had re-assign all file permissions to my
    root web folder.
Remove all permissions and re-assign the groups
administrators, authenticated users and everyone FULL CONTROL of
    this folder.
Click the advanced button and make sure permissions are not
being inherited from the parent folder.
Then select the option to re-assign all permissions to all
    child files/folders.
    Good luck.

  • Email setup for win 8 and microsoft mail client

When i first set up my win 8 computer last year i set it up for Comcast connect IMAP. It hasn't received an email since July 17, 2015.My other computer running outlook 2003 with Vista started acting up about 2 months ago. now it will not receive or send emails. When I check the settings and send a test message it said it worked, however I didn't receive the test message. I got it on my iphone, but not on either computer. I am at my wits end... I have tried every combination of settings I can think of. Error message cannot connect to server!!! Telephone support no help. The tech had no idea what settings should be tried. As long as I got his test message directly from Xfinity Connect he was satisfied.Boo Hoo Me

Did you find a solution to your issue?  My email was fine for months and 2.5 days ago I suddenly cannot receive (Pop3) or send email.  I don't see how changing my settings should help since it was working fine on the original settings.  However I've gone ahead and deleted and attempted to recreate my email numerous times with numerous settings (for what reason I have no idea).  No success.  Cannot connect.  I can get email on my iphone and on the Comcast website. This is the 2nd time this has occurred in the last several months.

  • HT2500 email setup for multiple devices of same user

I am trying to set up email on my imac, iphone4, and mac book so that I can access and manipulate or delete emails on one device without affecting the email on the others.  I do not know if I use pop on my main machine, imap on macbook and mobile.my.email on the phone.

While you can share access to a mail server from multiple clients (that's the default set-up for folks with multiple clients), your actions conducted from one client will effect what the other clients see.
If you're downloading mail messages from the server to storage on one client, then the other clients won't then have access to those messages.  If you delete a message from the server, the other clients will no longer find the message on the server.
If you want these clients to be completely independent, then you'll need to set up several different users, and use one on each client.
POP is a comparatively poor choice here as that typically downloads messages from the server to the client.
Choosing IMAP is "newer" than POP, and usually a better choice.
For your outbound mail, use of the submission port (TCP 587) is recommended.  Don't use SMTP port 25.
You're going to get to learn a little more about this stuff including about your current configurations, or you'll want to find somebody that can assist you with setting this up in your environment - the POP or IMAP and mail submission set-up is often specific to a particular mail server. Apple's Mail Setup Assistant might be helpful.
