Hi Apple land
I still have this issue
When I am at home, connected to my wifi my emails work
When I am at my office, connected to my wifi then all emails go offline, I have tried to take them online with no joy, I am conectec to my wifi as Safari works along with google, I have also tried the help button !
Any Ideas why this should be ?

Window ▹ Connection Doctor
Click the Show Detail button. A drawer opens. Click Check Again and post the text that appears. Anonymize any personal information before posting.

I have the Droid Razr Maxx HD and I cannot send multimedia messages while connected to WiFi.

I have a mobile data "signal," but need to disconnect from WiFi whenever I want to send a multimedia message, including a group message. I can receive multimedia messages while connected to WiFi, sending them is the only issue. Is this a common issue? And is there a fix for it?
It's very inconvenient as my phone is almost always connected to WiFi and I often use group messages for work.

Don't believe someone who tells you that you have to turn off WiFi - I FINALLY got someone who knew what they were doing at VZW - and she had me do the following - and VOILA - it worked! This is a known issue and level 2 support has access to many similar cases
Call VZW Tech support and tell them you want them to do the following:
1. You turn off your phone
2. They "Refresh the network on the voice and text side"
3. They "Sync network with billing"
4. You turn your phone back on

How do I connect to computers that are being used in the lab, but have no address listed on the "all computers" screen and say "off line" while they are being used?

Thanks for any help I can get. I'm the new guy here at school, and did not set up the system, so I'm not familiar with any of the individual steps for correcting problems. My question is listed in the window up top.

Thanks for the response. I tried to find out what you asked. For example:
1. Computer #35 is listed on the "all computers" screen but says "access denied", "not authorized", right click for " get info" has no administrators listed, and I don't know how to add my computer as one.
2. "Scanner" screen # 35 is not listed either in "Bonjour", or "Local Network" (ethernet interface)
3. "Scanner 2" screen - same.
4. "Scanner 3" screen - same.
5. "Computer Lab" screen #35 is listed, but says "off line", "access denied"
I hope this gives us somewhere to start and go from there. Thanks.

IPad shows it it is connected to WiFi but it isn't (nothing will load)

Just accidentally updated my iPad to iOS 7.1.1. Started it up and tried to connect to WiFi. Correct password and the WiFi is working for all different devices, and the iPad appears to connect to it successfully. The icon is there and everything. It's found the IP Address, Router, etc. etc.
However, absolutely nothing will load (not Safari, App Store, anything). It's not a problem with WiFi - all three of my computers and my phone can connect to this WiFi, it's just my newly updated iPad.
There are no addons and no this and that. I restored factory settings. No backups or anything.
I have:
1) Restarted my router,
2) Restarted my iPad,
3) Dropped my iPad into Recovery Mode and restored it to factory settings and tried again,
4) Dropped my iPad into DFU Mode and restored it to factory settings and tried again,
5) Turned off my iPad and tried again,
6) Turned off my WiFi and tried again,
7) Reset Network Settings and tried again,
8) Turned off HTTP Proxy and tried again,
9) Forgotten the Network and tried again.
So if one of your solutions is one of the nine above, please don't bother answering me.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

HP Officejet Pro 850 showing off line when it is turned on and plugged in.

Ungh, it has been weeks now and this printer has just stopped working and is showing OFFLINE. It was plugged into the back of the computer all year and worked fine and it just stopped printing so we plugged it into the USB port at the front of the computer and it worked for a while and now no matter where we plug it in, we can see it there in the devices and printers but it is greyed out. You can make it default no problem but it just will not print. We have downloaded the driver off the site over and over, uinstalled it over and over, when you select a document to print you can send the print to the printer, you can see it listed there but it just does not print. I just went to the HP site and downloaded some kind of printing wizard assisstant or something and it sent a test page to the printer and it worked but this computer for whatever reason it gives me the message every time we try and print "Printer off line" Anyone have any suggestions? Cellular data being used while connected to WIFI and not in standby

I am connected to my home WIFI on my iphone 4, but while my router is not connected to internet (so I should not have internet on my iphone), I noticed I am still receiving push notifications,
I finally read here that while on standby, wifi is turned off and 3G is used, ok.
now here is the problem, looking at the General>Usage>Cellular Usage, even if I am not on standby and I am using the phone, I have data usage (sent and recieved), I reopen the Celluar Usage and see the numbers are constantly increasing, and more strange is some (not all) of the push notification do come through (eg in my case for an app called FavFriends),
another friend of mine has a simillar problem on iphone 4s.
what is this celluar usage in the background?????

from what I knew so far, iphone should not use the 3G if wifi is connected, eventhough there is no internet on that wifi,
so in my case, if iphone is actually detecting no internet and switching to 3G, I should have internet on all apps (safari, etc..) which i dont, just data usage increasing with no internet in any apps (that is a 3G usage which is limited more than even when on standby),
and if it is not supposed to switch, it brings another question, that if 3G is used when wifi connected (with no internet), are there any background 3G usage (push notifications, etc), while wifi has internet and it is supposed to utilize the wifi internet?
so basically, I was under the assumption that 3G would not be used unless wifi is disconnected, regardless of internet access, and I dont find anything that says otherwise.

Clients show off-line

I have been having this problem for some months now and simply putting up with it, but it is pretty annoying. I manage around 100 Macs.
Clients in the Remote Desktop main window list will unexpectedly show as being off-line when they are not. I can add them back in and delete the old entry if I care to. The old entry will still show as being off-line and the recently added one right above it will show as on-line. The IP has not changed. If I double click the off-line showing entry it errors with: "Connection Failed f-9494.
ARD Software is up to date 3.3 (451.15). I believe I started having these problems after an ard update, or my other thought is having the same machine in several lists may be contributing. Machines are not all on the same subnet.
If a machine shows as off-line it will do so in every list it's in.
Any recommendations are more than welcome.

Bluetooth Issues while connected to WIFI

Is anyone else having issues with the clarity of phone calls when on a bluetooth headset, while being connected to WIFI? I have switched my new Note 4 out at verizon. I have switched bluetooth headsets. It only happens when at work and at home. Im always connected to WIFI in those two places. When I turn off my WIFI, i have no issues

It happens on any WIFI when I'm using my bluetooth. I thought maybe I got a bad phone but after swtiching it out at the Store and trying multiple ears (different brands as well). I'm convinced this is the problem. I never had an issue with my Note 3 and I've had the same bluetooth headsets. In the past, I always kept my WIFI on so it connects to trusted networks automatically. I believe it's a Verizon issue because the Samsung Reps at BestBuy inform me of some other issues but not that one. It seems that different carries are having different issues. Can you please make whom ever aware so they look into this issue.

How to turn off display while connected to external monitor??

I'm running my macbook into an external monitor, using wireless mouse and keyboard. I want to get full power from my graphics card so would like to know how to turn the macbook screen off while connected to the larger monitor. I have read that simply closing the lid and then waking it with the mouse will work, however wont this activate the screen as well while the lids closed? Any advice would be great!

As long as they have been fully downloaded from the iTunes store app, or synced from your computer's iTunes, then they should be in the Videos app and you shouldn't need to be online in order to watch them in it.

I just figured out the print quality issue for my wife with her new iMac and new printer.
She replaced both at once and she couldn't understand why her Artisan 730 was lower quality then her Epson R280 when they had the same specs.
Turns out the newer printer had the option to connect via wifi which we used during setup.
The driver options are completely different depending on how you connect.
Once I connected via USB the correct options were available and the print quality was better.
Looking at the R2400 it dies not have wifi, but while researching the problem for my wife someone esle was having an issue updating to the latest printer driver.
If you go into the print utility from the Printer and Scanner system preference and under the general tab you should have driver 5.5.
One user had to delete the old printer driver before Software Update loaded the newer printer driver.

On my MacBook Pro (w Snow Leopard) I always had to reconnect my wifi at home when it woke up. I upgraded my router from an old Netgear to a newer N D-Link and stopped having to do that.
I would be surprised you would have that problem with an Airport Extreme, you might check to see if there is a firmware update for it.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Creating hotspot while connected thru wifi

I can easily turn mu iMac into a WiFi hotspot when it's connected through Ethernet. However: is it possible to share you internet connection (creating a hotspot) while being connected through WiFi (imac connected to the Internet through WiFi allowing other units to connect to it as hotspot also through wifi).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for your reply. I'd like to understand WHY this is impossible. Is it because wifi cards are not "full-duplex", i.e. they cannot handle being a sender and a receiver simultaneously?

Email application on N810 wontg connect via wifi

i have a nokia N810 internet tablet and since changing my broadband to talktalk, my email application wont connect.
my N810 will connect via wifi to my router but when i click the send\receive button on the email application, nothing happens. it does work if i connect via bluetooth and use the internet connection on my phone. it also worked fine on wifi before i switched to talktalk. this leads me to believe there is a seting somewhere on my router config that is blocking my N810's email appliction.
does anyone know what the problem could be?

Im having this issue aswell. All the applications are working fine when connected to packetdata but not the wifi network. I tried hard reseting the phone twice allready but nothing helps. Please fix this asap.
