Email spam - BT now using a webform

Please can the moderators explain the reason BT have suddenly started using a webform to report spam. The method of sending to the abuse addresses now results in an email saying to "click" a link and enter details on a webform.
This makes it much harder to send reports, and will mean less people doing it - including myself.
This will actually lead to more spam from BT, since no-one will report the IP addresses of infected machines etc.
Please can this decision be reversed.

Hi Andy_N
I sent off a query about this and got the following response:
The purpose of the Webform is to provide a standard format for abuse reports into BT.
It will assist customers to provide information appropriate to the issue they are reporting and will ensure that BT can prioritise and manage issues efficiently.
BT will continue to operate and manage our abuse@ mailboxes alongside the Webform; we act upon all reports raised into BT.
So the option to use the original method is still availalble if you wish to continue using that method.
Cheers
