Email Spend reports to Department heads every fortnight ?
Hello,
We are on Oracle R12.
We wish to monitor our spend diligently so that we do not over spend.
We are developing several reports using XML publisher.
Is it possible to schedule these reports such that, the report is emailed to the department heads automatically every fortnight ?
Please feel free to suggest any other alternative solutions
Regards,
Emily
If you register the report as a concurrent request then you can schedule it as well as notify specific persons in the company.
There is also the following links

Automatically email Discoverer Reports
Can someone please tell me how I can automatically email some schedule reports in Discoverer.
We are using discoverer version 10.1.2 with Oracle Apps 12i.
Every month we run some schedule reports we want to automatically email these reports to some users. It's not possible if referring to the Plus or Viewer version.
In fact, Viewer is the version for mailing reports only.
The only alternative is to use the command line interface in Disco Desktop (the client / server version) and a scheduler (either purchased or using Windows freebie) and have the reports run via THAT scheduler and then email the results from that scheduler.
Not the slickest method ...

Email the reports by filling selection variables
I have the following requirement.Could you please help me the with steps to complete it?.
I have few reports which needs to be emailed to the users at monthly once(letus say 2nd date of every month).I have a Fiscal year period variable in selection.Every month 2nd date the report should execute with previous period as selection and email the report to the users.
How this fiscal year period variable can be filled with previous period value by the system automatically everymonth?.
Using Broadcaster how we can fill the variable values automatically?.
Please help me with the steps.
Thanks in advance..
Regards
SoujanyaSoujanya
Instead of having variables that will prompt you for period values, use SAP or Customer Exit which will derive the Previous Period Values for you.
You may end up with a report people run on an ad hoc basis that allows them enter user entry variables and a copy where the only difference is that you use Customer Exits on time instead.

Hi Gurus,
I am working on developing a quaterly vendor spend report with some additional custom fields to narrow down the custom report. I am looking at table LFC1. I want to know if that is the right table for payment information for quaterly purpose. Also, please throw in your logic to calculate the quaterly amount .
Also, suggest me if there are any other tables i should be taking into picture for vendor quarterly spend report .
Thank you for reading this message and will really appreciate if you can send your views.
SriHi
The table you are looking into is the perfect table.
The only problem in this table is it will be the transaaction figure total table, which will take your invoice booked, credit memo booked & the payment made also.
So i feel that this table will not solve your requirement.
Better take the table BSIK & check with your FI team & exclude the document types that are used for the payment to the vendor
To arrive at the quarterly spend check the fiscal year variant attached to the company code & map the no of the periods to the quarter (Posting period in BSIK - MONAT)
Hope this will fulfill your requirement
Let me know if you need further clarification on this front.
Regards
R.Karthigayan -
Hi buddies!
I hope someone would be able to solve my problem here.
I have create an online report using PSP.(PL/SQL server pages)
I have created 2 tables with 3 insert scripts which will extract the needed information into the table and the report will continue to read from that table.
Now, I need to somehow email this report, in any format, pdf, excel or so to a certain email address.
How should I do this?
I am absolutely new to PSP.
I hope someone could give me a lead.
Thank You very much.
Cheers!
AlaguCan you show the scripts and reports screenshort, so we can have a clerarl idea.
madni -
I have the Display version of this report working on line.
Now, I am trying to email the report to the individual requesting
the report. It is getting an error message on the second
<table> saying it contains invalid data. I am working with a
client on Coldfusion 5, so we are NOT using current software.
Can a report even be emailed?
If yes, how do I approach this. I could not find any
previously written problems on this, so it may not even be
possible. The report is much larger that below, but below includes
the error and did not see any reason to attach the entire report.
Thanks for any guidance.

Email a Report to Customer in AR
Hi,
I have a requirement to send an email of report to the customer while i run the concurrent program. It is not an XML report. Please advise me to do.
Thanks in Advance,

First of all, you need to create a spool request (click on the print option when the report gives a output, remove the tick from "print immediately" option.....alternatively you can also ask your abaper to create a new option as "Create PDF"...now take the spool number by using T.Code: SP01
now go to T.code: SE38/SA38...enter program RSTXPDFT4..and execute/F8...enter that spool number..system will ask you the destination..you can save the file on your local PC by your own nomenclature (inbuilt written in the program) .
You can explain this process to your ABAPer, he will be able to write the relevant program
Customer email address table is ADR6, just cross check on this one.
I hope the information if of help to you

Hi,
I am using Discoverer Desktop 10.1.2.48.18.
I am in a situation where I should be able to email each page of the report to a different person when ever the report is run. Each page of the report has the information of different customer and a particular customer should recieve the email with his page of the report.
I want to know if this is possible with discoverer, if yes, please let me know the process to do it or let me know of any other alternatives or third party tools I can use to do this.
Thanks.Hi,
You will have to use a third party tool to break the report up and email the contents.
This Re: Export and Email disc report may help.

We are upgrading from 10.7 to 11i(11.5.9).
I have a user with a very specific request. He wants to see all payments for a given quarter. The problem is that he wants to see all the accounting information for those payments. For example, we want to see all the payments (dollars actually leaving the company) for a set of organizations for a specific expenditure type.
We used to run this report from ap.ap_payment_distributions_all, but this table isn't used in 11i. Instead, we have the accounting event tables.
From what I've been able to discern, I can either get the accounting information from the ap_invoice_distributions_all or I can get the payment date from ap_invoice_payments_all, but not both. All of this goes through the accounting events, but I can't see a way to connect the payment to the distribution.
Am I missing something, or is this simply not captured in 11i?
Thanks,
DavidDear Howie Wexler
We are in process of developing the spend report and having some problems in Joining the spend tables (FCI_SA_FACT_DETAIL001) with the normal contract tables (FCI_CONTRACT and FCI_AGREEMENT). like Primary Key etc
Also we are some having the problem in finding the Purchase Order #, Invoice number #, Invoice Company Code and Invoice Cost Center fields in the CLM table, if you can help us in provide the table name that will be great.
Many Thanks

Optimized Supplier Spend Reporting based on SAP NetWeaver MDM
SAP NetWeaver MDM can help you a lot when it comes to aggregating and consolidating supplier data for global spend reporting.
