Hi,
When creating a batch job via SM36, it is possible to send the results via email (fill "spool list recipient").
Is there a table where i can find the batch jobs which have the "spool list recipient" field filled?

In my system, I see only 2 values for this field. 'RECIPIENT' and BLANK. Please check if it the same with you, in case of more than these values, try to build your logic on ( not equal to RECIPIENT rather than non-blank).
Even if these 2 values only, a job (with the same name) can be executed once with the spool list recipient ON and another without spool recipient. So, be careful in your checking that the record you are checking with the non-blank value of RECOBJTYPE is the SAME execution as in SM37. Use fields SDLSTRTDT, SDLSTRTTM in table TBTCO for it.

Email - Spool List

Hi Experts - We have a report scheduled in the bacground. The spool file generated will be automatically emailed to a group using the standard PDF via Email output functionality(instead of sending it to a physical printer).
It works fine, the PDF attachment looks great excpet for the fact that the Subject line and body of the email are generated automatically by the sytsem.
Subject: PRD9226-1:<Report Title>
Body: The Mail Attachment Contains the Print File Created by User XXXX, with Number 9226-1 from SAP System PRD . To Print the Data, Open the Mail Attachment with a Suitable Program and Print the Document.
Is there a way to Change this subject and content? Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Suhas - I am using the standard output device configuraton in SPAD. This is done by creating a output device in SPAD and specifying the Host Spool access method as E-Mail to Receiver/Owner. So instead of printing to a device the list is emailed as a PDF attachement.
Not using any special coding for this.

Email SPOOL as HTML ..

Hi !!
We are planning to schedule certain reports in background and then want to read its spool and convert those spool to HTML and send it as aattachment to email .
I check the forum and the library there are example of submitting report to abap memorya nd then creating html from that memory and email it . But for this i will end up having two programs one the original report program and another program to submit it .I want to avoid taht situation.

i have a spool generated whicn needs to be converted into PDF file format and Excel file format. Both the files PDF and Excel having the data from spool should be sent as attachment in an email. Is ther any function modules which can handle this scenario ?

Email Spool Very Slow

Just migrated my site from CF 4.5 to CFMX7 on a new server.
Wow! MX7 fills the spool with our 7K+ emails in a flash! Used
to take 20 minutes on CF 4.5! But MX7 is very slow on the outbound
side!
CF4.5 used to send 100 emails per spool cycle to the email
server. CFMX7 is only sending 20 -30. I have set my spool interval
to 5 seconds at this point. I cannot find any other pertinent
settings in CF admin.
I am using an internal mail server program called Ability
Mail Server. I upgraded to the latest version on the new server,
and it has always performed well in the past. It appears to just be
loafing along.
Any help?

What he said ^. It's not very slow compared to my old WinMo phone which didn't refresh for days at a time even though it was set to 15-30 min increments.
No doubt you can get an app for email though (there is already one for Exchange servers).

Email Spools and than Kicks me out when delete or email turn off attempt.

After attempting to create an exchange account, my iphone is giving me trouble. I want to delete the account, but it will spool or cycle if I try to turn off the email, fade to black, and then return me to the home page. I have tried different modes and it still will not even allow me to access the email account to edit. Any suggestions?

It sounds like there are 2 issues here. First your iPad is minimizing apps that you open, and also an error message when you launch the Mail app that it cannot connect to a server. For the first issue, I suggest starting by closing all the apps that are running on the phone:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone and test the apps again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If the issue persists, I would next backup your device to iTunes, and restore it:

CF8 Email Spooling Problem

Is anyone having the issue where email just decides to stop
sending from
coldfusion? It will process just fine for months at a time,
then just stop.
The only way I have found to make email start processing
again is to reboot the
server.
Does anyone know if there is a fix?

EMail + spool printing

Hi Experts..
I have a requirement where i am using exit & BTE for mail sending thru Dunning, f.27 & APP..
Though the mail is goin perfectly but I need to generate spools alongside mail generation too..
But prob is tht at a time C_FINAA-NACHA can have value I or 1 or 2.
'I' is for mailing & '1' is for printing.
BTE r 2040 & 1040.
Need to hv both the value for both mail n spool printing.
Kindly guide me pls..thanks in advance..

If you want to mail the output, once you give the print, It is possible.
What u have to do is that get the Spool number from driver program using the function module OPEN_FORM & CLOSE_FORM.
Once you get the spool number, you can convert spool job to PDF and send that to exact address.
Check this procedure.
DATA :g_spool LIKE itcpp.
CALL FUNCTION 'CLOSE_FORM'
    IMPORTING
      RESULT = g_spool
    EXCEPTIONS
      OTHERS = 1.
g_spool-tdspoolid "spool request number
Call this function module to convert spool to Pdf

Sendind mail using the following function module.

ABAP spool to email not working properly !!

Dear All,
My requirement is to email the spool generated at each step to a particular distribution list.
There are 6 steps in my SAP job (SM37) as shown below.
step1 : report1
step2 : email spool1 (this is a custom program that reads the spool id from previous step)
step3 : report2
step4 : email spool2 (same custom program used in step2)
step5 : report3
step6 : email spool3 (same custom program used in step2)
Now when I run the above job, only the email is being sent in step6 (that carries spool of step5 as an attachment). The other two email spool jobs at step 2 and 4 are not sending any emails. Kindly give your inputs on what might be the problem?

Spool with 'Eror' status.

When i print the invoices, it gets printed correctly with spool status as 'Completed' for some of the local output device (LOCL,HOLE) but for the output device(ZPDF( PDF output using Email)), spool is getting created with 'Error' status.
When i checked the log for error status, its coming as 'Character converter active when first problem occured'.

CFMail Attachment Issue (410 character limit)

My company is in the process of upgrading from CF5 to CFMX7
(v7.0.2). While testing the new version our test environment, I've
discovered an issue (that didn't exist in CF5) regarding email
attachments. I've scoured the internet looking for users who might
have run into this issue and haven't found any.
Here's the problem that shows up when using CFMX7. Emails
that have attached files that have lines of code that are longer
than 410 characters per line have the lines broken apart with a
newline character.
So for example if code in a file originally looked like this,

&nbspLIFE MED (line
continues out to over 600 chacters)...

The received file would have code that looked like this,

&nbspLIFE MED (line
continues out to just 410 chacters, then breaks to a new line)...
bsp; &nbspLIFE

Notice that the non-breaking space characters starting the
second line have been chopped off.
This causes an issue because the files we are attaching to
the emails are bills (formatted in html) that uses a lot of
non-breaking space ( ) characters for formatting purposes.
Most of the lines of code are greater then 410 characters wide, and
once the the characters start to get broken apart, they
end up displaying in a browser.
Things I've tried that haven't helped.
1) Changing the Default CFMail Charset from UTF-8 to US-ASCII
2) Using the cfmailparam tag instead of the mimeattach
attribute
3) Applied hot fix hf702-65414 (which was for an issue
regarding email spooling)
Does anyone know how I would prevent the line break issue in
CFMX7?
I figured I'd ask around in a few newsgroups before we
started spending money on support from Adobe.

MTE Class Availability_RFC_Destinations_MA_Class Metric

Hello guys,
We need to monitoring Precalc server with Solution Mnager.
We are create RFC to Precal Server in our Solman and test MTE Class Availability_RFC_Destinations_MA_Class with FM /SDF/E2E_CCMS_MTE
FM work well and display the correct information.
But when we create metric and alert for technical monitoring we get an red alert in system monitoring.
We try to set threshold as "Numeric Threshold (GtoY/YtoR/RtoY/YtoG)" and trigger to "Falls below or equals threshold" as for MTE Class
But still get red alert in the system monitoring.
Please advise what threshold we must set up for this MTE Class.

Migrating from Gmail to Hosted Exchange / Outlook 2010

My company has been using Gmail for its email for the last 5 years.
We were sharing a single company wide email address for 3 users. All incoming mail came [email protected].
Gmail let us create our own signature to the outgoing mail and the world was OK.
Everyone saw everything; anybody could tackle any issue or contact whoever was needed to keep things rolling smoothly.
Over 5 years our email spool grew HUGE.
As the company grew we have come against a few problems.
1. No privacy. The owners of the company have to use personal email accounts to talk about anything they don’t want the rest of the company to hear.
2. We recently started bringing in outside help to work on "special projects" and company information (past and present) and individual privacy is now important.
So I suggested switching from Gmail web based email to Outlook/Hosted Exchange.
Migrating our mail system was horrible, but I got it done in about 5 days over the 4th of July long weekend.
What I ended up doing is creating a user called EVERYONE.
I moved everything from Gmail into that account. I retained the directory structure we created in Gmail that has 100’s and 100’s of folders and subfolders.
I let (almost) everyone share that EVERYONE user.
Everybody also has a [email protected] email address.
When new mail comes in it get delivered [email protected], each person then sorts the message into our EVERYONE user account under
the proper project folder / subfolder / sub-category. This system works OK but I am sure there is an easier way, BUT THAT IS NOT WHY I AM WRITING.
MY PROBLEMS ARE:
Because we are using the old project folder granular Gmail file system it is difficult to move mail into the proper folders.
When we were using Gmail you would start typing the project name / subcategory and it would POP UP and you would drop the mail.
A typical folder nesting would be: ACTIVE PROJECTS->Jones Residence -> Sub-Contractors->Painting-> Master Bath->Wallpaper Samples
OUTLOOK does not let you move mail through a contextual system.
You have to “Drag and Drop”, but navigating through 5 or 6 folders and subfolders over and over is a PITA and my users want something similar to the Gmail system.
Ceptara's Organizer for Outlook and QuickFile for Outlook available on Slipstick look like 2 possible solutions.
Has anyone used either program?
How well did they do what I outlined here? Any other suggestions?
