Email stops sending?

Hello - First post
Every now and again my phone just stops sending email... All appears fine the only reason I realise it is happening is that I get no responses. I check my sent and those messages do not appear. I reboot the phone all works again.
Really driving me crazy because then of course I have no idea what message worked / didn't who's waiting on a response....
Anyone else having this issue?
Thanks

You will probably be able to correct this by going to your web interface page for your ISP mail and delete the offending e-mail file from there. I've had this happen a couple of times. And doing this cleared it up. Gmail is a particularly egregious culprit with things like this. Once it gets stuck, you almost always have to go to the web interface to clear up the problem.
Good Luck.

Help, my email stopped sending from my phone, can receive what is wrong

        Hello JSA1031!
I know it's important to have access to your email. I'd like to get some more information. What type of email are you using? Are you using the application or the browser? You mentioned the email stopped sending, so I'd like to ask if you can receive emails.
Please supply some additional information for me, thanks!

  • My iCloud Email stopped sending

About 2 weeks ago, my iCloud email stopped sending......
I use a PC and WWW.iCloud.Com.....   All my contacts are on the "cloud" not conneted to any other email account (AOL or GMAIL, etc).   Not connected to EXCHANGE or anything else, web ONLY........
The problem is on any computer including a MACBOOK at an Apple store,  I can send mail without any problems from an I phone.   I've changed no settings at all.,
If I reply or create a message and hit SEND.... I get a box that pops up that says "Mail cannot be sent at this time"......
At the Apple Store one of the kids running around with an iPad (and enough TATS to be a full time biker) said without even thinkng "The servers go down, they are working on them now, they will be fixed shortly".   Enough knowledge of the company to make Mr. Jobs smile.  Can't consider his answer seriously since he never looked or asked a question......
The Genious at the back of the store told me they only work on hardware and the web problems are beyond them....
I called Apple Support....  The first guy I talked to was pretty nice and really asked questions, etc.  Couldn't solve it nor could he find a reference to the problem in the literature.  He passed me off to his boss, another good one,   He did what he could and in the end he took a lot of info down to pass it onto the engineers who are supposed to get with me this week.....  Tues Noon and still haven't heard from them........
So, do we have any suggestions?  Someone else must have hadou  this problem.   I'd trash the email account and start another but there are thousands of mails on it, its on my business cards, hooked up to everything on the web and it isn't that simple........
Thoughts?  (Because you all may be next)

I have the same problem and it started about 2-3 weeks ago.  I use a windows OS pc at work and it stopped working.  I have a Windows OS laptop that I use at home.  Both of these quit allowing me to send any type of new email or reply to any email sent to my me.com mail account.  My iPhone still works great.....
Would Apple have made their iCloud proprietary to Mac OS systems??  Any help would be appreciated.

  • IPhone email stopped sending *ANSWER*

Apparently if you put to much text in the saved signature area of the iPhone it causes the outgoing email to stop sending. I had added a "CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE" containing a few lines of text and lines.
Symptoms: The send progress bar locks in place and does not disapear untill you power down/up. Nothing shows in the sent folder the email does not send. A email may send but it only contains the subject, no content.
Removeing the excess text in the signature fixed the issue.

  • Email Stops Sending - Constant Spinning Black & White Wheel

I mistakenly attempted to send a large attachment (over 30mb) and since then (10 hours ago) my email account has the spinning black & white wheel spinning. I am able to receive emails, but not send.
When looking at the Activity Monitor, the Network traffic is high. When I force mail to quit, Network traffic trails off.
I've deleted the Outbox.mbox as an other post suggested, but this didn't solve the problem.
The email account causing the issue is a gmail one, setup with IMAP.
Have checked the Mail/Preferences/Outgoing Mail account, and all looks well.
    Any suggestions?

  • Some email stopped sending

My BB was working fine, then last week this symptom developed: I can send email but not to any email address that is in my address book (Outlook 2003); I receive all email on my BB. If I delete someone from my address book, then my BB will send email to them. (I have a BB Curve 8310 with GPS using Desktop Manger 4.6) Very annoying. Help!
    Solved!

are those people in your addressbook people that are in the same company as you ?
can you try and create an, outlook contact with an external address ? Does the email reach them ?

  • Email stopped sending after iOS7

After installing iOS7 my email won't send.  My email account is trying to send through an old SMTP server that is no longer listed and is not even the primary SMTP server.
The SMTP server is one I used to use a long time ago and was removed sometime ago.  I changed ISP a year ago but still have my old email address as incoming and my new ISP as outgoing but the message I get says "Cannot send mail, the user name or password for "smtp .... " is incorrect....But it's not listed.
Have tried the following - settings reset, full reset and restore, deleting all mail accounts and re-adding, deleting all smtp servers (but not able to delete all of them for some reason).  I fear I will have to set the thing up from scratch but still want access to my pictures and don't want to spend hours dowloading apps and putting in password again.
    Any ideas welcome
    Thank you in anticipation.

  • Why does email stop sending only occasionally ?

I've tried resetting password and shutting down and restarting. I'm using cox communications and most of the time everything is fine and then suddenly nothing will go out but I can receive . It usually clears up on its own after a day sometimes a few days but I feel this is unacceptable as emails pile up in the out box. I've called cox and they say it's not a problem on there end by the simple fact I'm still receiving mail.is anyone else having such problems and does anyone know how to fix it?

Try deleting all of your email accounts from the Mail app and adding them again.
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars - Tap on each account, scroll down and tap "Delete Account".
Now go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and tap "Add Account" and add all of the accounts again.
Might want to try restarting your iPad as well.
    Cheers.

  • Email Inconsistently sends; Tried all comcast recommended ports

Recently my comcast email stopped sending from Outlook 2013. I can email a single address, but not send a group email addresses. I have changed my pop account to imap and back (even deleted and added). I consulted a computer service who could not sort it out despite using the comcast recommended ports from the website and googling. What is going wron?. I have used the "repair" link, I always get the test message, and my message shows in sent box, but no error or rejected message comes up. Only that my group never received my message. I cc myself, I don't get it, it nevers comes to my Comcast inbox at the actual xfinity website. The messages are not in my outboxBoth of my computers accessing and sending via my comcast.net address are doing this. What is the problem?995 incoming Port, 587 TLS Outgoing Port currently; I prefer a pop account, to imap; Changed to imap and back with no difference.HELP!!

Sending uses the same SMTP server and port (465 SSL or 587 TLS) whether you use POP or IMAP. Don't rely on the "test" function; it's flaky. Compose and send a test message instead. Be aware that, if Comcast considers an email you send to be spam: If it's addressed to a Comcast recipient, they deliver it.If it's addresses to a non-Comcast recipient, they throw it away with no notice to you or the recipient. It's despicable, but that's what they do.Comcast Security Assurance manages this and should be able to help you figure out the problem. Call them at 1-888-565-4329 (from http://constantguard.comcast.net/dedicated-support/).
The first-line reps there are sometimes not very helpful. If so, be persistent, and keep at them until you get a satisfactory answer.

  • I can't send photos from camera roll iphone4 to a email address. It just stopped sending photos.

i can't send photos from camera roll iphone4 to a email address. It just stopped sending photos.

    iPhoto Menu -> Preferences -> Accounts ->
Delete and recreate your email settings.
It's only difficult if you get all emotional over tiny things and don't stop to look for answers first. I find Macs very simple to use.

  • How do I get Apple to stop sending me email?

I know this isn't the right forum for this question, but I didn't see one that seemed relevant.
My first question is regarding these discussion boards. I posted a question here (in the Using iPod Shuffle area) and since then, I am getting an email every time somebody posts to this area.
The email has instructions on how to stop this from happening, they tell you to log in, go to "My Subscriptions", and in the Subscribed Categories area, select the delete option. However in the Subscribed Categories area, it shows zero subscribed categories, and there is no delete option.
Has anybody else run into this and found a way to fix it?
Second, since I am vaguely on the topic anyway, maybe somebody will know this one.
Since I purchased something from the iTunes music store, I have been getting ads by email from them. I told them not to send me ads at the time, but they are sending them anyway. I have replied back to the emails begging them to stop sending me ads, but they ignore this.
I really want to keep my email account as spam-free as possible.
Has anybody else run into this and figured out how to make them stop?
    Thanks for any help.

Look in "My Settings" to find the .... setting ... which prevents your from automatically subscribing to each one you either originate or respond to.
FYI, general questions on use of the Discussions themselves are handled in a separate forum — Discussions Feedback.
One way to manage/change your contact preferences is to log into myinfo.apple.com and change whatever you want or need to in there. If there are separate things which come from ITMS that aren't controlled from that page, and you can't find it discussed in the iTunes help or support pages or in its own menus somewhere, then you really should be asking in the ITMS forums instead of the iPod Shuffle one.

  • Stop Sending and Receiving Emails for the employee which is no longer exist

    Exchange 2007
    Hi There,
I have lot's of mailboxes in my exchange server which their users are not with us anymore.
I would like to stop receiving any emails for them.
I know if I go to "Mail Flow Settings\Message Delivery Restrictions\Accept messages from\Only Senders in the Following List" and select a dummy user it works but it sends my server information to the sender. and I do not want to give the
    information.
    Any idea how to:
Stop sending / Receiving email for these type of users?
    OR
    Changing the respond message?
Thank you in Advance for your time

You have a couple options.  Removing the mailbox would be the simple solution to stop mail flow, but I am assuming you need the mailbox which is why you have not taken this route.
Alternatively, if you have a message filtering solution in place that sits in front of your Exchange environment, you may be able create a filter to block inbound messages for a specific address so the message never reaches your internal Exchange servers.
This would prevent any information regarding you Exchange servers being returned.
If you do not have a filtering solution to do this, you can create a delivery status notification (DSN) so that a custom response is returned when messages are sent to a mailbox.  Refer to this article on creating a DSN:

Sounds like your phone has the jitters.
This is sometimes caused when a DLL fle is missing when you restore, so the ipsw pacakge wasn't installed corectly.
You could back up and restore, but if it doesn't help go to http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ and then download the same firmware your on.
Open up iTunes and hold Shift+Restore and select that firmware, you can't use anoy ther firmwares though.
    Hope this helped
