Email subject+sender Unknown?

Hello, 
This started ocurring since the 15th. Tried to do online chat but after 20mins just said no one's available and try later.
Subject and sender are blank/unknown. Body has all information in such as header and message, all messy.
This was in thunderbird so upgraded to latest edition, same problem. Tried setting email up in windows live mail - same issue.
I am now stuck. Ran virus scans. McAfee/Malwarebytes - nothing.
Any ideas?

Not sure if this was sorted, I too have had exactly the same issue since around 18 August, I went to the BT online help and pointed them to this forum only to get the following reply;
"Sashi Tete : Unfortunately we do not support E-mail client you need to contact our online helpdesk http://www.bt.com/help"
The email's which don't get through are from ebay, national express, easyjet etc
I am using outlook express, on windows XP, (so not the same as you) looking at other forums this seems to be a Yahoo e-mail issue with the server mucking up the routeing information ? - given that others are having the same issue I am reassured its nothing I have done to my set up (hopefully) - BT online help not very supportive, if this does not "fix itself" and I have to change e-mail on all my accounts then no longer an incentive to say with BT ! - Sorry this is not a help but maybe a re-assurance that others have the same issue

    I have seen one of my previous project where if i send an email with "PI Process" subject then it was picking processing in PI.
    But i am not recollecting exactly what to do to get the same.

    is there any problem with Background spools with SAP? We are running R3 here. And looks like its the spool background job that's creating the error. When i execute the report it shows all the record in print preview or if i print it.

    I am trying to send '®' mark in the email subject. This is coming properly in some of the email clients, but very few email clients are not able to parse it, they display '?' in place of that.
    I tried with setting the mail type as HTML, but it is applicable only to body of the mail, then I tried with unicode character, no luck with this, and with HTML character set values, no luck with that also.
    Could anyone please tell me how to solve this?

    so it works with some email clients and not with others.
    Sounds to me like some email clients just can't handle non-ASCII characters in email headers (as if I didn't know that already). Live with it.

    I was just wondering if there is an email subject based / From based polling in OSb.
    I know that email box polling is supported.
    And i do have one more question. Do we need to send emails only in text format for OSb email based proxy service. As the other input types for Proxy serivce are not any thing related to email.

    We are currently implementing Readsoft WebCycle solution to manage workflows prior to posting supplier invoices.
    We are using the collective emails feature, which allows to send emails once a day to warn the approver of new invoices to process in the workflow.
    There is a customizing step to define the subject for collective emails ( /COCKPIT/WI9 ).
    However, even with the customizing done, when a collective email is created, the email subject is automatically set back to the standard ("WEB CYCLE: Retain 00000000000000 document").
    Has anyone ever faced the same problem ?
    How did you solve it ?

    Looks like the appserver needs to grant relevant permission for the webapp. (Standalone java applications have full access to system resources and as such security is not an issue with them).
    Can u try modifying the permissions in the server.policy file for your appserver (which by default is at <creator-install-dir>/SunAppServer8//domains/creator/config/server.policy)?
    Add 'permission java.security.SecurityPermission "insertProvider.SunJSSE";' to the global grant section or in a 'grant codebase' section for the jar in question.

    We have a CS-MARS 100 with the last 4.2.1 and I've configured several reports to be sending by email. I'd like to change the default subject that it's shown as "System Scheduler (scheduler)" in the email client (Outlook, p.e.) and if it's possible the account used for sending that mails: [email protected]
    We can change the domain name but not the account name or email subject.
    Does anybody know how to do that?

    For one of my requirement, the email subject and body has to be changed. For order confirmation and quotation, the standard behaviour of having the smartform name as the subject name should be changed and ther ehas to be a dynamic subject name. Similarly the email content should also be changed. Is this possible? Can anyone suggest me the steps?

    Could you please tell what method are you using to create emails?
    If it is using workflows then you can change the subject and mail body dynamically using parameters and expressions.
    If you are sending mail using an FM call, then also you can create dynamic subject and mail body.
    Please provide the details so that an appropriate solution could be provided.

  • IPhone email stopped sending *ANSWER*

    Apparently if you put to much text in the saved signature area of the iPhone it causes the outgoing email to stop sending. I had added a "CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE" containing a few lines of text and lines.
    Symptoms: The send progress bar locks in place and does not disapear untill you power down/up. Nothing shows in the sent folder the email does not send. A email may send but it only contains the subject, no content.
    Removeing the excess text in the signature fixed the issue.

    Where you say -- "although I can send email"
    And finally where you say -- "my outgoing emails will NOT send - instead they stay in the outbox"
