Email suspended due to hacker...help

Last week I was unable to send emails from my MAIL email address. I called my ISP and they said my account had been suspended because there were reports that spam is coming from it. (I'm a 69 yr old grandma, I don't do spam!!). They said before they could reset it I would have to run a virus scan. I said "this is a mac, they don't get viruses" but they said it is their protocol that a virus scan has to be run before they can reset, and they suggested the free version of Avast for Macs. So I downloaded it and ran it. I isolated (or something, I don't really understand it) the couple of things that showed up in red. I called back and they reset the account with a new password. That was last week. Yesterday I tried to send an email and could not. I called again, and once more they said the account has been suspended and this time they said that if it happens more they will not be able to reset it. I ran the virus scan again tonight. This time nothing came up in red, but there are a bunch of "warnings". I don't know what to do with them and I have no idea what to do to get rid of whatever or whoever is causing this spam to be sent out under my name. I'd appreciate any help.

There is no need to scan for viruses. Although there is some rare malware for the Mac, none of it is known to send spam. On the other hand, e-mail accounts get hacked remotely all the time. The problem is absolutely not due to malware. First-tier tech support is unable to make good decisions on stuff like this, they're just following the book and telling you what it says they should tell you, and they will probably be extremely inflexible about it.
You have two options. One is to just tell them you ran a scan and that you're clean. They can't know one way or the other, and this is certainly a fair response to a ridiculous request, and your machine is almost certainly clean anyway.
Alternately, if you don't feel comfortable with this, download a low-impact anti-virus app, like ClamXav, and scan with that. ClamXav will not affect your computer's performance or stability when it's not scanning, and there's no need to set it to scan on any kind of scheduled basis. It can be used easily for manual scans only, and can be removed when you're done scanning if you like.

just try to make a new apple id with the same name. because the hacker change the email, so your apple id before is not active or not use.

Pretty much the the email that I used (but didn't verify) to create my iCloud account was hacked and now I can't remove it from my iCloud account due to the iCloud password also being changed by the same person and the fact I had "Find my iPhone" app on my phone also??? I had to change my iTunes email as well but that was far easier so yeah :S.
Please help. I live in NZ, out in the country, so reception is rare and so is getting into the nearest town that has an Apple Store.

If you truly change your existing Apple ID's email address to a new email address, follow these instructions: iOS 7: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud

There is a difference between the verification code need to login to BestBuy.com and the verification email needed to complete the linking process. If you are able to login to BestBuy.com, then you can just ignore the verification code. Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Internet and email not working. PLEASE help.

So I've had my blackberry for a couple of moths and everything's been fine.
Yesterday I stopped receiving emails on my blackberry and I also noticed that my internet wasn't working anymore. It came up with the message 'unable to connec to the internet, please try again later' even though I'm at home and my phone is connected to my WiFi.
I've looked around the internet for help and tried a hard reset a couple of times, which didn't help anything. I then tried deleting my service book and did the whole Host Routing Table registration again, and I got the blackberry registration email, however I'm still not getting emails.
Alot of the help online suggests going to Email Settings and Setting up my email account again, but seeing as my internet isn't working it comes up with an error message 'your device had a problem connecting to the server' when I try to launch the Email setup.
I saw that you could set up your email from your computer but when I tried to do this it didn't have my wireless service provider, BT, listed as an option.
This is really really urgent as I really don't know what the problem is and why it's suddenly occurred and what I'm meant to do! Any help would be MASSIVELY appreciated! thank you

Try this. Don't open the email. Swipe across it in the preview window and a red delete button will pop up. Use that to delete it. You can delete it from the trash the same way if needed.

This is what it is and what it does. You both have to have iOS 5 installed on your supported device. If that's not what your setup is, then that's your answer.
