Email temporary error.

I keep getting the message below, fair enough but I am waiting for an important email regarding the completion date for a house sale. I have contacted BT "Help" who's answer was it should be sorted by next week. Great the house sale could fall to bits by then.

But if it happens regularly it must be more than a random failure, unless the email system is falling to bits in which case it should be fixed.

Welcome the the forum. Are you using Yahoo/VZ mail or standard Verizon webmail https://mail.verizon.com/webmail/driver?nimlet=showmessages&view=emails
In either case please try a different browser such as firebox in place of Internet explorer (or vice versa)

Unable to open delivery reports in Exchange 2013 SP1. Gives warning "The status for the recipient can't be determined because of a temporary error. Please try again later."

This seems to be occurring with all users (have tested a few, all display the same exact error message).
When I click on "Message Delivery Report" in Outlook 2010 or 2013, it points me to the ECP and displays this message "Warning The status for the recipient can't be determined because of a temporary error. Please try again later." I'm
not sure which log files to look at. The last time I remember it worked was before I applied SP1, I think CU3.
Our environment is two servers running Exchange Server 2013 Std. SP1 (847.32) in a DAG.

From the error description, I would like to clarify the following thing:
Delivery Reports is a message tracking tool that you can use to search for delivery status on email messages sent to or from users in your organization's address book, with a certain subject. In Exchange 2013, you can track messages for up to 14 days after
they were sent or received. Please make sure the message you are tracking isn't older than 14 days.

I keep getting this message when trying to open my email. It's been happening for several days. I've tried, but it still keeps happening. Help!

This is a common error message found with Yahoo! server emails. The troubleshooting tips will ask you to change the browser or update it. Trust me, it doesn't work.
Try getting an email client (Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird) and set it up to get your emails on the computer. If you have a smartphone, set up your emails on it.
Until Yahoo! decides to admit there is an issue with their server, this is the only solution to get all your emails. You know all emails aren't shown as long as you keep receiving temporary error 14. Try an email client and I will bet you will find extra emails that you never saw online.

Hi,
I have had this message now for the past week, as i am unable to retrieve any e-mails i phoned BT for help !
The guy on the other end of the phone asked me if it was OK to do a 'screen sharing session' i was a bit dubious at first but allowed him to continue, an hour later and back to square one, i asked him if i can revert back from the new 'Faster email' to the old 'classic' mail, he didn't seem to know, in the end he told me that because i am getting this error message it was down to 'site maintenance'.
Well i have herd some excuses but that takes the biscuit, site maintenance doesn't last for a week, any way he didn't really know what to suggest, then after speaking to him i get a customer satisfaction call from BT, is this a joke ! Asking me if i was satisfied with the outcome, NO i said as he wasn't anymore knowledgeable than myself.
Well thanks BT for 'reeling me in' on an 18 month contract.
My old isp whom i was with for over 15 years, was expensive, but at least i could get email.

Ran HP Print & Scan Doctor - finds no problems. When sending a scanned document to the user email it has " Error Server Failure Try again Later " message . Can run test to the scanner without any errors. Tried to reset the printer - same result.

I read about the scan to email issue you are having and I will gladly try to help you! I would suggest checking your scan to email settings from the EWS, and perhaps run the scan to email wizard again. You should also see a scan and test option in the setup.
Here is a link to the User Manual, that has quite a bit of great info. Check out page 62 for the scan to email information.

Try to reenter you rmail account details in the iPhoto Preferences > Accounts tab.
Delete the mail account entry by pressing the "-" button below the left column in the panel, then add it again by pressing "+".
Also, it is recommended, to set "Mail" as mail client in the iPhoto preferences, and not iPhoto. This has been working much more reliably lately.

Email Application Error ?!?!?!

Help - I have my Pre set up through both Yahoo & Cox email accounts. My Cox email account doesn't seem to be sending emails (receives just fine) and that's where my problem began. I tried to reply to an email and it obviously didn't go through so I received an "Email Application Error" in regards to this email. I've have since deleted the the email from the Outbox and both the Outbox and the Sent folders are empty but... I am still getting the error message and I have no idea how to stop the error message from popping up. Please Help!!

if you are still getting the error delete the email account from the pre, restart the device then add the email account back in if the origional settings do not work try this:
Cox Communications blocks outgoing unsecured IMAP communications that take place using Port 25. To avoid this issue and to ensure secured email, enable SSL on Port 465 and server authentication in your email client.
So set up for incoming is same as home:
mail type: POP
pop.east.cox.net
user name
password
port #110
no encryption
outgoing

Use Authentication-OFF
username
password
port # 465
turn on SSL encryption

Repeats for work items with temporary errors for background WI

Hi!
I have a task that generates a temporary error method in order to activate the Repeats for work items with temporary errors. It currently has 5 repeats at intervals of 2 min. After running above the WI-status is 'Error'. When Restart by SWPR runs only once and sends the message 'Work item set to error following 05 failed attempts'.
Please can tell me any way that when run again relaunch fixed repetitions.

Please show me since it is the design of the workflow. It is probable that you are inside a repetitive sequence that send several work items.

Temporary Error Using CX_BO_TEMPORARY

I am creating a workflow using classes rather than BO's for the first time. I want to use a temporary error and see that the suggested way to do this is to raise exception CX_BO_TEMPORARY. I'm not having any luck getting this to work.
I have created a class with a method that does nothing but raise the exception with the simple syntax "RAISE EXCEPTION TYPE CX_BO_TEMPORARY.", this is the only line of code in the method. I then created a task in my workflow to call this method and set it up to handle temporary errors on the Misc tab.
The workflow goes into error rather than temporary error. It has a message "An exception with the type CX_BO_TEMPORARY occurred, but was neither handled locally, no declar....".
I also tried adding CX_BO_TEMPORARY to the exception tab on the method itself and raising it using it using the same syntax. I did not model this outcome in the workflow. The workitem remains in "in process" status and does not go into temporary error. I try running RSWWERRE 3 or 4 times and the workitem never goes into error status.
Any suggestions on what I am missing here?

Figured out what was happening here. Simple problem, I accidentally missed activating one of the methods from the IF_WORKFLOW interface. Short dumps were getting generated causing the workitem to stay "in process".

Is this a one-off or a general problem? If a one-off, is it a link to a web page or something else? If not a web page, try control-clicking on it and choosing to download the linked file. This will at least access the file though it might be to something you don't have an application to open with. If you do this, what sort of file do you get? - select it and hit command-i to get information on it.
