Email threads in inbox

Hello All,
I'm new to blackberry's so please forgive my ignorance.
I was wondering if there is some sort of setting to keep all my email threads in one email rather than individual messages? For example, all my sms messages stay in one thread for each person that i message and does not come up as individual emails. I would like the same for my incoming emails. It floods my inbox and I'd prefer to have each email stay in one thread for organization purposes. Does anyone know how and if this is a possibility?

Nope.
Gmail will do that, when using the specific Gmail folder, but not in the main messages folder.

Any time mail disappears from the server, there's a pretty good chance there's some device pulling it off. This can happen even without you intending it to. For example, the default Verizon setup for a long time (and possibly still) configured Outlook automatically unless you were paying attention and unchecked the box during the install.
The easiest way to fix it is to change your password. Once the device(s) can no longer authenticate, the disappearances should stop.

I upgraded to IOS 7 and know I have 1200 unread emails on my Inbox and can't see them and on my computer I don't have any unread!

Emails disappear from inbox when forwarded

I have an iPhone 4S with Verizon service. The phone was set up as new. When I forward an email from the inbox to someone, the original email being forwarded disappears from the inbox. In all other mail applications I have used, the original email stays in the inbox. Does anyone know of a way to fix this? Thanks.

I'm running ios7 and this is still an issue. Has nothing to do with organize by thread.
If you forward an email on a device, the original message disappears from your inbox - on any device (even my mac).
I'm using a POP account. I see several messages on this in the discussions but no resolution or acknowledgement from Apple.

Replying to a previous email thread with an attachment

This seems like a really dumb question to me, but it doesn't seem to be working. When I reply to previous email thread, shouldn't I be able to add an attachment? Or can you only add attachments on brand new emails?

You can do that using workflow.
Using workflow you can send the mail in SAP Inbox and recipient can open the mail from his/her SAP Inbox.
You can do it programmatically also:

Too long url error when emailing thread with replies

There is apparently a bug in the "email thread with replies" feature.
I tried emailing myself this thread and it returned this error:
Request-URI Too Large
The requested URL's length exceeds the capacity limit for this server.

No surprise it did either. Look at what it was trying to send.

It's an web application made in Oracle ALBPM and which uses JSPs to entering data. The insert is made on the database object inside the ALBPM studio:

I read the link you posted, but I'm still confused. I did the following:
SELECT FIELD, LENGTH(FIELD), LENGTHB(FIELD)
FROM TABLE
I was expeting to get a larger value in LENGTHB(FIELD), but the values are equal. I can only insert 2000 characters from the application, so, I was expecting a LENGTHB 2x greater than LENGTH(FIELD).

Hotmail emails in my inbox on the server but will not show up on my iPhone?

Help - I have hotmail emails in my inbox on my computer but they will not show up on my iPhone. I am using the "Windows Live Hotmail" option in the settings. The specific emails are not marked as junk, still in my inbox, they are addressed to me, they span about 2 weeks with some as recent as 3 days ago and are all from 3 specific people regarding my sons baseball team. I have tried deleting my account and setting it back up. I've added the email addresses to my contacts to see if that helped. I didn't have this issue when I used the generic pop 3 type of setup. I moved to the Windows Live Hotmail setup so when I delete an email from my iphone it also deletes it from the server. This is all working perfectly. I don't actually log into the server very often and almost missed this email. Thanks!

I have an apple iphone 4gs... It is synced with my outlook exchange in the office. If I do a search for emails that also checks the server then all of a sudden I end up with various amounts unread email with the inbox saying "Inbox 71" ..which is not true

We need to know more about your system, please download EtreCheck and run the report and please post it on your next reply. Then we can see how your system is configured, what apps are on it and look for anything obvious. We will look forward to seeing your report.

New email in IMAP inbox doesn't show up in Mail.app - must quit & relaunch

I have a 24" iMac 2.33GHz running OS 10.5.7, with several user accounts on the machine. on my account (the main admin account), Mail seems to work just fine.
but on a couple other accounts, although Mail.app correctly shows new IMAP email in the inbox immediately upon launch, it doesn't always seem to notice new mail that arrives on the server later, AFTER the initial launch.
That is, whether the user later presses the Get Mail button or waits for Mail to periodically check for email (preference set to check every minute), it thereafter never shows any new mail arriving in the Inbox - this is even when I know for certain that there are unread new messages sitting in the inbox of the IMAP server (e.g. by confirming separately via webmail interface or via iPhone, but of course leaving the new message unread). This means the user who leaves Mail running in the background all day may never realize he has new email, Mail.app keeps showing no new mail unless he happens to quit and restart Mail later.
I believe this problem only started recently, perhaps after one of the recent system updates - I can't say for sure, but we only noticed this recently. And as I mentioned, I don't see this behaviour on my main account, I see new emails immediately. Also I use Mail.app on a different MacBook Pro and have never observed this behaviour - it is just on my iMac.
another observation, since the problem occurs on some accounts but not mine - I tried deleting the user's com.apple.mail.plist file and reconfiguring the offending account, in case a corrupted preference file was the culprit. but afterwards the problem remained so that doesn't seem to be it.

I'm seeing the same behavior on a couple of the iMacs in our office. Do you know what mail server software you're using? I'm trying to figure out if it's a problem with the server software, using IMAP rather than POP3, or if it's Mail.
We're using Kerio Mail Server. Several of us have been using IMAP for over a year and had no problems. The two who are having problems also have thousands of messages in their Inbox whereas the rest of us never have more than a couple hundred.

How to remove the bar above the email body in inbox

How do I remove the Information / toolbar? (not sure what it is called) that appears above the email body under the list of incoming emails in the inbox. It is the bar the has info about the email and buttons like reply, delete, etc. It is redundant and just takes up space.

You cannot remove it. It is part of the message pane and will display when the message pane turned on.
You can make it smaller with this add on.

You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.

How can I create a link or reference to an email in my inbox in Mail?

I want to create links to emails (not links in emails), to be able to access an email directly out of my todo list program (I use Wunderlist).
Example: an email requires an action. I create a todo in Wunderlist and I want to add a reference or link to the email that contains the background information.
Any Ideas out there how this works? I suppose every email in the inboxes have a unique identifier. But I don't know how to get there and how to use it.

If you open the document in Adobe Reader, then Adobe Reader will keep a copy of the file. You can later launch Reader and open it from there while offline.

On my ipad mini, when I delete an email from the inbox (and it goes into Trash), it immediately deletes that email from the server (ATT/Yahoo). I've called support for both ATT and Apple and can't find a way to have the emails remain on the server.

Create a Shared Photo Stream to get any missed photos that did not make it into the Photo Stream. Remember, when you turned on Photo Stream it will start to copy new photos taken at that point in time. It also only holds the pictures for 30 days and up to 1000 photos.
