I have done the following configurations for email notification when user is created through reconciliation in OIM

Xelsysadm has a valid email id. Now when I am reconciling any user, two mail notifications are being sent. Not able to know from where these two notifications are being triggered.
Am i suppose to make any changes in the configurations?

Sorry re-read your issue again. I believe there are two notifications because you have added your notify task in the process definition and OIM OOTB sends a notification when a user is recon'd. Thus remove your task or disable the OOTB notification. The property is Recon.SEND_NOTIFICATION

Changes not reflecting in user created through sysadmin responsibility

Our Oracle Apps Version is R12.0.4
we having an issue with users every time when ever that particular user attached to employee in HRMS details modified. HR people used to change emailids in Employee info some times, so that particular employee details is linked to user created by sysadmin is not getting updated with the changed email address....we are doing manually again by reassigning the same employee to the user, so that it is getting modified with the new email address....
Actually when ever any emailid change in HRMS means automatically that change to be reflected to the user linked which was created by sysadmin responsibility......this is not happening....is it a bug or issue in our applications??? Please help me on this with any solution.....

New User creating through Exchange Admin Center -"Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation"

facing problem in creating new user through EAC. through shell its ok. but when i tried through EAC it stuck selecting OU with error
"Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation".. i have multiple child doman user scenario ..
its stucks at screen shot 2- and keep on prompting please wait ...

Why would you go for nested OU inside the default OUs? ;-)
i have more then 1 domain controllers and sites .. it was done to implement different policies on different DCs .. and to standardize the things in better way
Are you saying that you had an empty OU in the root domain, which caused the error?
no the error way bcos of my domain controllers were in nested OU .. i move them to root OU .. at the same time i remove
empty OU in my domain (it was for test purpose etc.). not sure if the empty OU were also causing problem .. but for sure it were nested OU under "domain controllers OU" ...

Help needed! How to send Email if user created in a specific organization

Hello experts.
I have edited the Create User workflow to include the Email notiifcation. I follow the example in the manual under Example workflow customization.
What I have discovered is that it will send email no matter which Organization a user is created in. e.g. Top or Top:MyOrg or Top:Disabled
I only want Email sent if user is created in Top:MyOrg
What data is available during the workflow?
Currently the transition to Email User in the Notify activity doesnt have a condition... it will always branch to Email User.
What I want is a conditional branch only doing the Email User if the organization=Top:MyOrg
What does this condition look like?
I guess I also need to include a branch to end in the Notify if necessary.
I am new to customizing workflow but this is urgent request.

Users created through script - and being provisioned through another way

Hi,
I have users from partners, being created by me and also being provisioned by Oracle Channel.
Ones I delete mine, the others get deleted from the system - and not just from my folders etc.
Is there a way that we can prevent the deletion form the Workspaces that had been created & provisioned by the Channel Manager?

Odd. Bert should be OK even if you delete the first Workspace.
The way BeehiveOnline works this would only happen if you removed Bert from the group and thereby removed his rights to access any content.
A normal workspace setup would be a single workspace - controlled by the system - named GroupName_Workspace with all the members of the group in it.
If you now create a second or third workspace you can select to add users from your group to these workspaces - taking them in or out of the workspaces should have no effect - it is the Group and associated ACL structure that governs access. The only way this may happen is if you use the workspace A.participants group to add members to Workspace B. Removing Workspace A will remove the Workspace A.participants group from Workspace B - or at least make it empty if not removed - same effect.
So does that make sense? There must be something else going on with Bert that is not obvious from your description.

I knew the TCode of the query which I had created using tcode SQ01. user is using this query to see the report
Like I created query named 'order_line_details'. This query is basically to see the order & other details. To use this by user one TCode'zncv_ord_item' has been created.
So in the system lots of query are available. So i want to know the Tcode for those query that are using by user.

Task Does not get triggered when User is created through API

Hi,
Each new user in our OIM environment is supposed to have a iPlanet account. I have configured the access policy for the same and it works.There is also a process task which needs to be triggered once the user is successfully created in the DS. Following is my issue:
1.When the new user is created through the admin console, the user is provisioned successfully to DS as well because of the access policy and the task also gets triggered successfully.
2. There is an approval workflow for another resource, at the end of which a user needs to be created through APIs in OIM. The user gets created successfully in OIM and also get provisionined to DS just like in the above use case. However, the task fails in this case. I see that the task is being triggered from the user's resource profile, but the status is rejected.
Can someone please tell me why is this happening. I initially though there was some issue with my adapter for the task, but in case 1 it works just fine.
Following is the exception I get as soon as the iPlanet connector finishes creating the user in DS:
java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.String
at com.thortech.xl.adapterGlue.ScheduleItemEvents.adpSETFIELDSONUSERCREATE.implementation(adpSETFIELDSONUSERCREATE.java:51)

Hi,
Have you checked the process data that you are passing to this adapter and check the mapping of process data to the adapter variable. Try to log the value which you get from process data. I got this error when I was trying to use the literal value from process data as "true" for a boolean value. This is a bug. This value is not actually a boolean value. It threw me error too sometimes back. Either you pass the boolean value from adaptor factory as a literal value or change the type boolean both in your code and the adapter.

Hello all, when the system sents email notification via email to the vendor, what is the follow action in the system?
Vendor can create users for him? Which data I need to put in the User, password and other values in the form? I tried with same data that the system sent in the email about user and password, and I can´t logon. I have following error: No vendor data found.

Hi,
In ideal situation when you create an user and user gets created successfully the user profile page displayed.
Now, if you want to show your message on top of that then you need to customize the Create User jsp.
If you want to show new screen with required message then you need to create an custom screen,action class and some modification in struts framework.

If the iOS app I create emails the user, can the user upgrade from the link in the email or is that against the guidelines?

I want to create an iOS app and for a variety of reasons (subscription, multiplatform, etc) I can't use the Apple app-store payment sytem.
However, if the user creates and account with my iOS app and we then email the user at a later date. Can they upgrade from the link in the email, or is that against Apple policy as well?

i am faceing a file download problem too..........
i am protecting jboss application,,,,using apache, and jk....
all work fine except for open a file(word,excel,txt,etc).
Disable the policy domain, everything goes just fine. microsoft file dialogue opens,you can open the file directly, or save it to your computer........
Enable the policy domain,, you can only save the file to your computer(file content is also correct),,,but cannot open it directly.it says the file path could not be found......but if the word/excel application is already running, you can open it fine...
PS:not a computer issue,,,every computers faceing the same problem

Creating windows user account through java

Is it possible to manage(create/edit/delete) windows user account through java.
Where in the java program is used to create windows accouunt on the same machine.....
I did that with the net command and running the net command in java.... is there any better approch to this problem

hi all. so, i made a visitor registration page using PHP and
everything works, but i'd like to send an email to visitors after
they submit the registration form. the only post i could find here
with the same question is
here. but the answer involves using
a form handler, and i don't think my form is using a handler,
because i did it with PHP and server behaviors. of course, this is
my first PHP page, and i'm not all that experienced with forms
either, so i don't entirely know what i'm talking about.
so, does anyone know how to do this using PHP and server
behaviors? seems like it should be easy enough, but nothing i've
tried works!
