Email trouble

I have an msn email account on my iphone 4s. I am not able to send mail. The message says: The user name or password for SMTP:********@ smpt.live.com is incorrect. Help please!

I can send mail on my old ipad and iphone but not the new ipad air. I tried deleting account several times and still no luck.

Email trouble with iPhone4 and iPhone6

I am having trouble forwarding emails or responding to emails when trying to add a new email address to the thread. When I start to type in the new email address, email automatically shuts down and I'm am sent back to the home screen on my phone. It only happens when the first letter of the email address I type in is the letters d, l, m, p, or r. The exact same thing happened on my iphone4 and is now happening on my iphone6. Is it an issue with my email account or a software issue?

It's an issue that happens occasionally with the Verizon/Yahoo accounts, and has nothing to do with your software/hardware.
If you have your username without the @verizon.net, try adding it. If you do have it already, try taking it off.

Email Trouble post Yosemite Install

Hi, since installing the latest Yosemite my email accounts on my mac mobcap pro have stopped working, I've reinstalled etc, but outgoing mail just sits in out box, any ideas or is there a setting that needs to be readjusted since installation.

I am totally in agreement with you. I upgraded from Snow Leopard to Yosemite on the recommendation of a "genius" at the genius bar and have had nothing but trouble ever since. I do not have a business but just want to be able to normally send email. The SMTP outgoing mail is the culprit. It works part of the time and then all of a sudden it won't work. I have spent endless hours with my service provider, I have combed the internet "helpers" out there who say to do this and that and for the most part, the mail just hangs in the outbox. My latest combination was to click using the TLS Certificate "Apple" option as well as not checking the "allow insecure authentication" along with the 465 port using SSL. Problem is I don't know how long the mail will be able to go through with these preferences checked. All of this frustration should not have to be. What was wrong with the old email? It worked fine. Seems like Yosemite email should be functional before touting this new system. I am a believer in Apple, thinking that they are the best of the best, but I'm losing my faith. When folks pay more for an great computer they should expect it to work. I am so disappointed.

Ipod Touch 4th Generation Email Trouble!!

im having trouble setting up my apple email account on the ipod touch 4th generation. Does anyone know how too? whether its IMAP or POP and all the incoming mail server details and outgoing mail server details aswell. Please help mee.

Why would you need to be entering in information that only pertains to setting up an email when all you are trying to do is verify your account. You may want to take a look at this article for information on setting up and verifying your Apple account.

I click on email accounts in the set-up then click on internet email and it just takes me back to the setup menu.... If anyone can help I would be very thankful

Dear Megan,
There could be many contributing factors.
1. Connection issue (check signal)
2. Software got corrupted (since you have redownloaded it, try again. If it still doesn't work ... hmmmm)
3. Change of SIM Card
If your answers for the above 3 points are positive, then you might want to check with your local BB support centre.
Last resort will be reseting your phone to factory setting and restore it back using Blackberry Protect.

.mac email troubles on windows 2000 machine

I posted this on another mac discussion board but didn't get any answers, so i thought i'd try here.
During the time that I am unable to access the internet with my iMac, I'm using my Windows machine, WIndows 200 and Outlook Express to get my .mac email. I can't seem to get it to set up properly to send mail, though. I'm mirroring the Outlook Express configuration on the iMac but it won't send using my mac address. I am able to send using my hotmail address. ANy thoughts?

Having email trouble with iPad

All of a sudden I'm not receiving emails on my iPad, it just keeps on saying the mail server "imapgmail.com is not responding verify if I have entered the correct account into mail settings

Did you enter the message text correctly?
The IMAP mail server needs to be imap.gmail.com; you stated the message said you can't connect to imapgmail.com.

Email trouble since OS X Yosemite 10.10.3

Here we go again. On a recent OS X Yosemite update, and again with this latest, my email is messed up. AOL and GMAIL at a minimum. That means twice in the last few months. So tiresome.
My computer is a MacBook Pro (13 in, Mid-2012), 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5, 4GB 1600 MHz DDR3.

TS3276 Email trouble

I am suddenly not able to delete my emails. When I delete them, they show up back in my inbox. I even delete them from Trash and they still come back. We recently updated our iPad - would that have anything to do with it? Help!!

Recently changed advanced accounts to remove from server
immediately and this has for the moment corrected the problem. Will have to check out tomorrow, whether this solves the problem.

Lion email trouble??

Just bought a new mac mini with 10.7 Lion. I am using the email that came with the OS but for some reason the emails in my inbox are delayed anywhere from 10 minutes up to 2-3 hours. I can go to my charter account and see the new messages but they do not show up in my apple mail inbox for sometime. I have gone into the prefences and changed the "receive emails" to every 1 minute but they are still delayed. Any ideas??

Couple more things I've noticed. If I click around on some of the different folders like sent or trash or junk mail, sometimes the emails will suddenly start loading into the inbox and there they are. If I go to the Charter email and see some new emails, then go back to my Mac mailbox and do the "click around " thing, if they don't come in I can quit my mac email and restart it and there they are. It's fairly frustrating to have to "click" around or shut down my email in order to get my emails.
Still no ideas???

Incoming Email Trouble

I use a third party email host with IMAP. I can send emails but many of my incoming emails are delayed for days and sometimes never arrive at all. I need help please!

Email trouble since online

Hi, in a website built with muse and now on line with bussiness catalyst, I have a probleme concerning the emails.
All the dns have been replace in the domain name but since this time, any mails can go on the mail box. Is there something I forgot somewhere?

You would need to upgrade the site plan to web basic+ or higher as site published from Muse are web basic sites which does not includes email service.

You can also use external email , as Brad has suggested you can set up external email for your domain.

Email trouble on ipad

All of a sudden I can't delete my emails from the iPad. I've tried restarting it but it doesn't seem to have helped. A message comes up 'unable to move message. This message could not be deleted to trash'. Also when I click on emails to read them, it doesn't seem to register that I have read them and still lists them as unread. Originally it was crashing whenever I entered the mail icon but the reboot seems to have sorted that. When I go into the mail setting all it says is 'accounts are currently syncing'. I assume this has something to do with my emails on my laptop, however, that is currently broken so I can't plug the iPad in to sync, anyone have any ideas how to solve this?!

Email account mailboxes and messages are not included with the iTunes sync process which would be a nightmare. The only way mailboxes are kept synchronized with the server for an email account is with an Exchange or IMAP account.
Try deleting and recreating the account on your iPad.

Email Trouble Tonight?

Is there a problem with Verizon's email system tonight? I have not been able to login to my account or my wife's account since 8PM this evening.

Yes, there must have been. I was trying since about 8:30PM to no avail.
Just was able to access my email for the first time about 3 minutes ago. Thank goodness!

Email trouble - can't delete messages and won't go away after download

I hope someone can help me. Since yesterday, I have been receiving multiple copies of messages. Now I think I know the source of the problem, but do not know to fix it.
For background, I download my messages to my computer using Thunderbird. Up until recently, no problems with that - when I download, the messages are deleted from the server.
Well, today, it seems that the messages are not being deleted once I download them. To make matters worse, I am unable to delete the messages in the webmail interface! It gives me an error message "Warning We were unable to perform your request. Please try again." I have treid again, and again, and again, all to no avial. This is becoming a real problem as the messages are building up in the server - I get a lot of email.
Please, can anyone help me? Thanks!

HI... it sounds like the email server is having issues. I would call tech support to have them create a ticket for it to be investigated.
