Email via RFQ

Question

Hi There,
I too would like to triger a mail when an RFQ is saved ,kindly let me know as to how to configure.I have maintanied Vendors Email Id in Vendor Master recorrd.
1)hw to set up the LOCL output device ??
2)Hw to assign Business parter to Vendor??
3)Where do we maintain STD CS01 -Communication stretegy??
Pl let me know.

Hi Charlie ,
I just happended to configure as per the guidelines given by you.I have my Replies stated as R as below.
1.You must maintain an e-mail address in the address in the vendor master.
R:- This is maintained
2. The same applies to your own user master. You also have to specify an e-mail address there in order to identify the sender.
R:-Where to maintain this ??
Note that it is not possible to change the e-mail address of the vendor via the SAP purchase order/RFQ transaction (ME21N, ME22N, and so on). The system only uses the e-mail address of the vendor that is maintained in the vendor master!
3. For the output type for default values, a communication strategy needs to be maintained in the Customizing that supports the e-mail. You can find the definition of the communication strategy in the Customizing via the following path: (SPRO -> IMG -> SAP Web Application Server -> Basic Services -> Message Control -> Define Communication Strategy). As a default, communication strategy CS01 is delivered. This already contains the necessary entry for the external communication. Bear in mind that without a suitable communication strategy it is not possible to communicate with a partner via Medium 5 (external sending).
R:- This is maintained as CS01 and INT .
4. Use the standard SAP environment (program 'SAPFM06P', FORM routine 'ENTRY_NEU' and form 'MEDRUCK') as the processing routines.
R:-This is in the maintain messages types for RFQ in IMG.Done
5. In the condition records for the output type (for example, Transaction MN04), use medium '5' (External send).
R:-There are no partner option available in the Condition type transaction.Where do we add the partners such that I get them in this drop down list.
6. You can use Transaction SCOT to trigger the output manually. The prerequisite for a correct sending is that the node is set correctly. This is not described here, but it must have already been carried out.
7. To be able to display, for example, the e-mail in Outlook, enter PDF as the format in the node.

Ask your basis folks to do the settings and then you can assign based on the P group in
SPRO-MM-Purchasing-MEssages-Assign outptu device to Pgroup
R:-Can we do the settings on our own  without the basis Folks??Wht r the steps involved?
2)Hw to assign Business parter to Vendor??

Here you do the config for Bussiness partner to vendor
R:-Is it in Partner settings in vendor master record.
3)Where do we maintain STD CS01 -Communication stretegy??
I don't get your que.
R:-This is maintained in the Web application server.
