Email video from N96???

Hi
I'm a techno phobe!! I've taken some video on my N96 and want to share it, I have downloaded Ovi and it doesn't support my device!!
I can't email it from my phone as the file is too big, what can I do???
Thanks
Bob

Within the device there's nothing you can do. You would need to first take the video out and cut and reformat so that it complies with MMS. OR set the video recording setting to MMS and record video again and send that one.
You can send it via email though. at lest you should be able to.

I keep hearing that I can't email videos from iphoto because they are too big. What I don't understand is that I have emailed videos via email in the past. Why is that?

    Look at your settings iPhoto>Preferences>Accounts
and make changes here or add your email account if not in the list
One thing to look at for sure is the SMTP sever name, I think by default it fills it in as smtp.me.com  or some such,  which may not be your email outgoing server.

  • Cannot email videos from iPhoto

I have downloaded 2-3 minute videos from camera to iPhot on my iMAC desktop. It does not allow me to share the videos via email. Any suggestions?

Check with your ISP (email provider) as most all of them have limits on attachments (and videos are notoriously large files). If you're using iCloud, here are the limits:

  • When I email videos from my iphone 5 (ios 6), i cannot open the file in quicktime. Anyone know a fix?

Hey, so I just got an iPhone 5, and i've come across an issue involving sending videos. I am now thinking it is quicktime on my computer, but here's the situation. I e-mail videos taken from my phone to myself, or my coach, for review. I did that a lot with my 4s when running ios 5, and everything was fine. Now when I e-mail videos from my iPhone 5 (ios 6), my computer will show a thumbnail of the video, but when I open it in quicktime, the video is black, but there is sound. I am however able to open it in VLC player, but i would much prefer to be able to open it in quicktime. Could it be the way it was compressed when e-mailed? When I plugged my phone into my computer and copied the full (uncompressed) video file from the iphone, it opened fine in quicktime. Also my coach has quicktime pro on Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), and both files open fine.
I am running Windows 7, with Quicktime version 7.7.2.
    Any ideas?

The only fix I know right now for Windows users is QuickTime 7.7.1

  • How to email videos from iPhoto

What is the best way to email video footage that I have in my iphoto?

There isn't a good way to email video.
Video files are very large and can cause all sorts of issues for the recipient just because of their size. Best option is to upliad the clips to Dropbox, Vimeo, YouTube or sharin services like YouSendIt or RapidShare and then email a link to the other person.

  • Emailed Video from 3GS only playing in portrait

I have been taking video in landscape mode on 3GS and then emailing video. The attached video only plays in portrait even though I filmed in landscape. How do I fix this?
    Thanks

Seeing the same problem here as well. Will shoot video in landscape (camera shutter button on the right in landscape view); and then either watching the video on the iPhone or after sending off the video, it plays in portrait and NOT landscape.
This is annoying when trying to watch a landscape video taken on the 3GS. If you turn the phone 90º to view it as you shot it, the video rotates on the iPhone. Turn it back to portrait, then it goes to landscape. Try to quickly compensate by rotating the iPhone now that it's in the view you want it, and it rotates to portrait again.
VERY annoying. Landscape videos can be watchable in "Edit" view (sometimes), but it just doesn't seem to be working right.

  • Problems with emailing video from iPhone 4 to MacBook Pro

    Hi all you helpful people,
I have taken some short videos on my iPhone, and have tried to email to my Macbook Pro. The email is received but there is not attached video.
I then downloaded the videos to iPhoto. The option to email the video does not come up at the bottom of the iPhoto screen. On File / Export it only brings up the options for exporting still photo files, eg jpeg.
I then dragged the video file to my desktop and opened a new mail message, and attached the video.
However, it won't send, the server times out. These are only short videos - some 5 sec long. I also can't now remove them from the quere to be sent on mail so everything is backed up behind them. Is there a way to clear them from the queue?
Surely it can't be this difficult? Am I missing something simple?
    All help gratefully received!
    Thanks.

Go to itunes. right click on your phone. select back up. It will copy everything to your computer.
Or you can read more about [how to transfer iPhone video to PC on Mac|http://www.softwarebbs.com/wiki/Howto_transfer_videos_from_iPhone_to_iTunes_onMac].
It can help you directly transfer iPhone videos to iTunes and manages iPhone on Mac.
Hopefully this works for all of you like it just worked for me!

  • How do I email video from iPhoto

How do I email a video that I've downloaded from my digital camera to iPhoto.  Use to be able to use Quicktime Player but with this newer version of IPhoto, I am unable to do so.  I have iPhoto '11  9.2.3

If it's small enough you should be able to drag it into a mail message as an enclosure.  Or compress it and send the compressed file as an enclosure.
You can make a compressed .zip file of it by right (control) clicking it in the finder and selecting compress.  It will create the zip of the selection.
Note that if it is a large video you may exceed the limits your email server imposes (e.g., 10MB, 15MB, whatever).  In that case you could use a media sharing site like rapidshare to just send a url to the reciever for them to download from the site.

  • Is there a way to download emailed videos from iphone 4 directly into iphoto rather than the finder

How can I download an iphone 4 video someone has emailed me directly into iphoto,  how can I get the ones I have already downloaded from my finder to iphoto?

You can't. Iphoto will only import movies taken by the phone directly. Move the video to the Mac and then import it.

Same as any other material: File -> Import to Library or drag them to the iPhoto Window or iPhoto icon on the dock.
However, not all video formats are supported.

  • Can't email videos from iPhoto that was imported from iPhone 4

After importing videos taken with my iPhone 4 into iPhoto, I can't email them with my yahoo email account. Says it exceeds 25MB and will not allow that. I had no problems with my 3Gs emailing long videos. Any ideas?

IMHO the best solutiopn is to use Apple mail as hyour e-mail client - set it in the iPhoto preferences

  • How2 Email video from iPhoto?

When i click the email icon or "share" in the tool bar, it looks like my options are to send the video to iTunes, MobileMe or YouTube. • Can anyone tell me how to share/email videos from my palm 680?

What is hte format? How can i share with other people> I cna only view it on my device or in my OS Software on my computer.
    Please help.
    Thank You
Post relates to: Treo 680 (Cingular)

That is going to depend on where the application is stored...
If it's Bloatware (e.g. Verizon Navigator, Bing, etc...) you will need Root permission on your phone to remove it.
If it's something you installed from the Google Play Store, then all you will need to do is open the Play store, select the Menu button, select "My Apps" and then open the app.  This should give you the "Uninstall" button.
    Hope this helps

  • How can i send video from my iphone 4s to email

How can i send video from my i phone 4s to an email address?

Mail attachment size is determined by your ISP, & limit that size to betweem 10MB's & 25MB's, depending on ISP. So, unless it is a very small video, you won't be able to.

Message was edited by: ConnieH1999  sorry my first question said I phone.  It is my mac desk top.  thanks

While I don't use a Mac, I belive you connect the device to the computer via USB and then import the file using a file utility similar to what you do when you import digital pictures. I'm guessing that the Mac has something like this?

what is the best way to email a video from iPhoto? It won't let me share a video!

Size is not the issue. In the old iPhoto you used to be able to share a video and it would compress it to fit an email friendly size. It doesn't do that anymore from iPhoto. I miss that feature. I have to export the video from iPhoto to my desktop then take into the old Quicktime 7 to share in email. Crazy.
It shouldn't be that complicated. I shouldn't have to find a work around. I guess apple wants to put  you in a box so you have to do it "their way" via uploading to iWeb or iCloud instead of emailing video.
I don't like those options being taken away.  While the quality may suffer by compressing for email, it is still the most direct and unconvoluted way of sharing something fairly quickly. I don't want to have to post to YouTube or Vimeo or iCloud and send a link. Just compress the video and hit send in an email and be done with it.
