Ok, I have made something similar to which your you want to do.
Before to send a e-mail you have to upload the file, and later you can attach it into the e-mail.
To upload the file:
I made it with a jsp file (has a form) where I call to a java servlet how upload the file:
package ServletUpload;
import java.io.*;
import java.net.*;
import java.util.*;
import java.text.*;
import javax.servlet.*;
import javax.servlet.http.*;
import org.apache.commons.fileupload.*;
import org.apache.commons.fileupload.disk.DiskFileItemFactory;
import org.apache.commons.fileupload.servlet.ServletFileUpload;
public class uploadFichero extends HttpServlet {
    public void init(ServletConfig config) throws ServletException{
        super.init(config);
    protected void processRequest(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)
    throws ServletException, IOException {
        response.setContentType("text/html");
        PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
        out.println("<html>");
        out.println("<head>");
        out.println("<title>Servlet</title>");
        out.println("</head>");
        out.println("<body>");
        out.println("We began the processing of the file");
        boolean uploaded = false;
        uploaded = procesaFicheros(request,out);
        if (true==uploaded)
            out.println("File uploaded");
        else
            out.println("Error to upload File");
        out.println("</body>");
        out.println("</html>");
        out.close();
    public boolean procesaFicheros(HttpServletRequest req, PrintWriter out ) throws ServletException, IOException {
        try {

  • Mail Services New email with selection doesn't work, leads to Force Quit

    I've posted this before, but got no replies so I'm trying again since it's driving me crazy. It was a problem under Mavericks and still exists under Yosemite's Mail.
    When I select text and then go to the Services menu and pick "New email with selection," much of the time a totally empty new email message window opens , won't let me type in it at all, nor will it close or send. It just sits there until I Force Quit Mail.
    HELP PLEASE!!!

    Standard Apple Mail. I'm running Yosemite 10.10.1, and I'm amazed to see that About Mail says it's Mail Version 8.1 (1993), copyright 1995-2014 Apple Inc.
    Interesting thought, do you think that it doesn't like to work with itself?  Actually, I'm fairly sure I've had the problem inside of other apps but I should document that.  I'll keep notes to see where this happens.

  • Forwarding email with attachments doesn't work

    In Mail.app, why when I forward an email with any kind of attachment does the email only contain a text description of said attachment and not the actual attachment itself?
    I then have to down the attachment to my desktop and re-attach it to the email I'm forwarding. Not a big deal, but I don't see why I need to take these extra steps and cannot find a relevant preference in the Mail.App client prefs.
    Thanks!

    BD,
    That was totally it. This has been plaguing my Mom and frustrating her for a year now. For some reason, I wasn't notified of your response many moons ago.
    Thanks so much,
    Josh
    ps. lol, I guess in looking at the time stamp it's been 4 years - jeez. Thanks again!

  • Converting an Outlook email with Images doesn't work

    I can convert any email from Outlook to a PDF and it will include all .doc and .pdf files, but it seems to just ignore any image attachments. I'm using Acrobat 11.0.06
    Is there a reason why or a solution to get around this? I need to maintain a database of all my applications and some come in as PDF's, others as image files.
    I cannot find an email address for Adobe either, bit fustrating.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    Goto the Change Conversion settings option on the Adobe PDF tab in outlook.
    On the settings tab , unselect - "Block downlaod of external content"
    That should solve the issue for you.

  • HOW TO SEND A HEBREW EMAIL WITH ATTACHMENT USING DEMO_MAIL

    Hello All,
    This is Not a question , just attaching something I've implemented and might be interesting for few of us,
    This package I'm attaching allows to send Hebrew Language email + attaching files to it.
    This package is based on demo_mail package (combined here but you can search at google for more example information if needed).
    My Package is supplied as is , for any specific information regarding it , please contact me directly at : [email protected] or POST here.
    * Please also note , that this package allow file to be attach via URL (meaning you will have to define a link to this file, if you would like to implement a link to a local file , e.g : c:\temp\myfile , you will have to customize the package your self with database directories option etc ...)
    First I will attach an example of how to use it :
    ==================================
    begin
    demo_mail_heb.send_html_mail_attach(p_sender => '[email protected]',
    p_recipients => '[email protected]',
    p_subject => 'שלום וברכה עולם',
    p_data => '<hr><b>בוקר טוב</b><hr>',
    p_file_name => 'but_choose_file.gif',
    p_file_mime_type => 'application/pdf',
    p_file_URL => 'http://10.172.246.160:7777/i/but_choose_file.gif');
    end;
    Second Here is the Package (please note you will have to modify few settings in order to enable it , such as mail server address ..etc)

  • XI Mail Adapter: sending emails with attachment with help of java mapping

    Hi ,
    On trying out the scenerio mentioned in the blog, using the java mapping provided
    "XI Mail Adapter: An approach for sending emails with attachment with help of Java mapping
    The scenerio works just fine.
    But the payload as the content of the attachment is not getting generated in proper XML format.
    I suppose it's because of the replace special characters code part..
    Can anyone help me state the modification required in the code.
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Faria Mithani

    It might be a codepage issue. Is your original payload UTF-8?

  • Sharepoint Online - Send email with attachment

    Hi All,
    is there some way how to send email with attachment, which is attached to list item in host web?
    I tried some of solutions but none of them not working.
    Server side:
    For example event receiver after added list item with attachment - Because it is office 365, in SandBox solution I can´t use SmtpClient class.
    Any other ideas?
    Client side:
    For example client web part with REST call. It works fine until I don´t need access to attachment.
    string oDataUrlAttach = "/_api/Web/lists/getbytitle('ListName')/Items(6)/AttachmentFiles('Document.docx')/$value";
                HttpWebRequest itemRequestAttach = (HttpWebRequest)HttpWebRequest.Create(sharepointUrl.ToString() + oDataUrlAttach);
                itemRequest.Method = "GET";
                itemRequest.Accept = "application/atom+xml";
                itemRequest.ContentType = "application/atom+xml;type=entry";
                itemRequest.Headers.Add("Authorization", "Bearer " + accessToken);
                HttpWebResponse itemResponseAttach = (HttpWebResponse)itemRequestAttach.GetResponse();
    Here I get error: The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.
    But other calls are OK. I can get all items from my list except attachments.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you.

    Why hasn't this been answered?

  • Need to send external email with attachment for workflow 20000075

    Hello Everyone,
    I am new to W/F, I Need to send external email with attachment for PO Release W/F 20000075. Currently Work item is being sent to SAP inbox of required user based on PO Release strategy configuration in SPRO. I tried to create Send mail step after PO release event but I am not sure how to arrive at Recipient type in send mail step(the mail should be sent to person in the release strategy). Everything looks fine all I need to do is to send external email with attachment instead of sending work item into SAP inbox.
    Your help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    You can use extended notifications to send an e-mail message with a link to the workitem. Search for extended notifications in SDN.

  • Symantec Mail Security with Exchange 2007 (Emails with Attachment missing)

    HI, i need help here
    I have Win 2008 with Exchange 2007 and Symantec Mail Security. Symantec was working fine until the license expired but it was still fine until yesterday, we realize that we cannot receive email with attachment. after stopping the symantec services, mail
    flow went back to normal. We then remove the program from the control panel.
    Then i found that i cant retrieve or find those emails that was sent to us during a period of ard 6 hours. i tried looking the the Symantec quarantine folder but it is not there.
    Can someone point to me where should i look for the missing mails? When i do a mail flow troubleshoot i can see the logs that it is sent to the mailbox, but from users's outlook inbox, there is no email ??
    Much Appreciated

    Symantec's support group should be able to tell you what happened.

  • How to use Java with PL/SQL commands to send an email with attachment

    Apologizes in advance if this is the wrong place to ask the question.
    I need to use Java with PL/SQL commands to send an email with attachment. My java application runs from the command line and does some magic to gather info from an Oracle 11g db. If the DB has sendmail configured, I'd like to send the results of the data gathering as an attachment to the email addresses. I'm not sure how to do this. I've been reading up on on PL/SQL can send email with UTL_SMTP - with attachments. I'm just not sure how to translate that into being triggered by my Java application. Any suggestions or pointers on what I should read would be appreciated.
    Background - I've been programming in Java for 10+ years, but this is my first time using databases. I also have been on these forums for a long time, but lost my profile when it was switched to Oracle.
    Thanks for all help.

    user13726880 wrote:
    The original requirements were put together and given to me, an Oracle newbie. They expected the Java app to use something intrinsic to Oracle and Unix sendmail. To solve my problem, I use a JDBC connection to run some SQL commands. I take that data, format it and send the results by email to the user. By default the requirement is to send it as an HTML attachment using Unix 'sendmail'. So I do that using Runtime exec. I have also added JavaMail functionality as an alternative to sendmail. It works great and as expected.Sounds like a reasonable solution.
    Note however that PL/SQL itself can send email. And PL/SQL can call unix sendmail too.
    However myself I would have done it in java with JavaMail.

    When replying to an email with attachment, later when I need to review the attachedment, it can't and just gives a file name <????.pdf> i tried to search my downloads and documents for the file pdf but cant be located.
    It seems that attachments are lost when you reply to an email?
    Look forward to resolving this problem with Lion

    Try a reset ...
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
    No data is lost due to a reset.

    Hello Anil!
    Well, if i really undestand your question, i think you resolve it using callable object mail with attachment, you said that do it, so, you only need to configure your smtp on youser server and you don´t need more work.
