Email won't send pictures
Every time I try to send email it goes to out box and it does't get sent.I am useing windows live mail.
Actually ... a better question is ... how BIG are the pictures. Right click on a picture and tell us the size and give us an idea of how many pictures you might be trying to put in a message.
You could very easily be creating and extremely HUGE outbound message that simply will not go out via email. Pictures off todays high mega-pixel cameras shot at full resolution can easily be hundreds of megabytes. There are ways to scale these down in resolution for more suitable consumption online (let's see what size you're dealing with first) or you can use one of many free photo sharing websites which do this reduction and upload for you (and your recipients are much happier as well since you don't clog their mailbox with huge attachments).

Hi, I am wondering why my iphone won't send pictures through messages, I have MMS on and I have tried sending it with 3G on aswell and still doesn't work. Someone please help me :)
Hey lozza567,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues sending MMS messages. The following resource may provide a solution:
iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2755
Issues with sending and receiving MMS
You will need these to send and receive MMS:
- An iPhone 3G or later.
- iOS 3.1 or later.
- A cellular data connection. MMS isn't available if you are using only Wi-Fi.
- A domestic MMS plan from your cellular provider. You may need an international messaging plan to send MMS to an international contact. Contact your carrier for more information.
- A roaming MMS when using a cellular provider's network different from your billing cellular provider's network. Learn more about roaming and contact your carrier for more information.
To resolve issues with sending and receiving MMS, follow these steps first
1. Go to Settings and turn airplane mode off.
2. Go to Settings > Messages and turn MMS Messaging on.
3. Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Cellular Data on.
4. Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Data Roaming on if you are roaming on a cellular provider network different from your billing provider's network.
5. Verify that you have a cellular data connection in the status bar at the top left of your iPhone.
6. Go to Settings and turn Wi-Fi off. Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify that you have a data connection. Turn Wi-Fi back on to continue using Wi-Fi for other features. If your cellular data connection isn't available, follow these steps.
7. Verify that you can send and receive SMS. If you are unable to send and receive SMS, see the "Issues with sending and receiving SMS" section, above.
8. MMS may not be available while on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports.
9. Restart your iPhone.
10. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
11. Reseat your SIM card.
If you are still unable to send or receive MMS, follow these steps
1. Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
2. Go to Settings > Messages and turn on group messaging if you are sending a group message.
3. Make sure that you are using the area code with the contact's phone number. When sending messages internationally, you also need the contact's international code.
4. Verify a "Pay as you go" MMS plan has enough available balance. Contact your carrier if unsure of your MMS plan or available balance.
5. If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
6. If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and re-create the contact from the Contacts application. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
7. Back up and restore your iPhone as new.
8. If your carrier has recently ported your phone number, the porting process may not be complete. Contact your carrier to confirm that the porting process is complete.
9. Contact your carrier to verify that you are provisioned to send SMS and are in an area with cellular coverage.
10. Contact your carrier to verify that there are no blocks or filters placed on your wireless account preventing you from sending SMS.
11. Your carrier may require APN settings to be modified to use MMS. Learn more about when you should adjust APN settings.
Thanks,
Matt M. -
My iMessage won't send pictures or videos to one of my contacts.
My iMessage won't send pictures or videos to one of my contacts. Can someone please help? I've already turned my device on and off, but it still won't work. It happened after the last update.. when I send a picture or video, it would show as sent, but then have the red exclamation icon and say message not delivered. I would try and deliver multiple times but it just won't work.
It depends if the contact is not an apple product it will not work at all ..iMessage is only used for apple products.Just check.Well you should know if the contact is an apple user or not so yeah thats all really. But if it's it that important f.of a pic download a texting app it helps alot.

Emails won't send from Hotmail account on iphone as message says password is incorrect
I recently had a problem with my hotmail account which meant it was blocked and I had to go through a securitiy process to unblock my account and change my password. I can now use my hotmail account again and changed the password on my phone settings to be able to use this account on my phone again. However, when I try to send emails from my iphone from my hotmail account, it says my password is incorrect and the emails won't send. I am also not convinced that I am receiving all emails, although some came through when I initially re-added the account. I have tried to delete the account and add it again, as well as restart my iphone, but I am still having the same problem. The password I have for the account is correct! I would be so grateful if anyone could help.
Thanks. For anyone else having this problem I have found a solution! You need to change the outgoing server settings as well as the incoming server password which appears on the main settings page. Go into the account in settings and select the box under outgoing mail server. Click on the box under primary server. This will take you to the settings, including the password which you can change.

My email won't send as when it was set up an extra letter was accidentally inserted in the address. I need to know how to remove the entire email address and start a fresh.
Launch Mail.app, select Mail > Preferences... > Accounts and select the account you need to edit in the left column.
The receiving information will be displayed for the selected Account, with a pop-up selector for the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) toward the bottom. That selector shows which mail server will be used with this account; to send mail.
Click and hold on that selector, and scroll down (holding the mouse or trackpad clicked) to Edit Mail Server List... and you'll get a sheet dropping down with the mail servers listed.
Select the problematic mail server, and edit it using the Account Information and Advanced items on that sheet. -

My mobile device won't send picture messages
I have a problem where my mobile device simply won't send picture messages. I have clear reception right now. I've tried shutting the phone off and restarting it and taking out the battery.
Why am I paying for a service that doesn't work?
Anybody know what the problem is?You can call customer service and have them check the provisioning on your account to be sure that picture messaging is enabled.
SOme things that may affect picture messaging:
1) 1X service only - you need EV service to send picture messages
2) Your phone says Extended network - picture messaging will be unavailable.
3) You have a total data block on your phone, to prevent data charges. It also prevents picture messaging. You can block mobile web, and downloads separately, without blocking picture messaging.
If none of these seem to apply, then I'm at a loss. What happens when you try to send a picture message? Do you get an error message? -
Emails won't send from any account
Hi all,
Had a problem for an unknown period of time now where emails won't send from Mail on the iPad. I had a couple of people ask me why I hadn't responded and after saying I had, they told me they hadn't received anything. I checked my sent box and the emails hadn't been sent.
I thought it was just with iCloud.
I have just tested it with another iCloud account and also my Gmail account and none of them will send an email. All work perfectly on my iMac - and Gmail works perfectly on my phone.
The strange thing is that I get the sent noise as soon as I hit sent, which is why there's been confusion. It doesn't sit in drafts or fail to send. There's no error. As far as you can tell it does sent - but it's never in the sent items/outbox and never received the other end.
Any ideas? Such a frustrating problem that I've never, ever had before.
Thanks for any help,
Ste.Oddly, the test email sent from my Gmail account on my iPad has just appeared (after a five minute or so delay).
The email however, is still not inside the sent folder - there's still no record of it having been sent.
Problem persists in full for iCloud - nothing sending from iPad and being received by the recipient. -
Suddenly today, my iPhone won't send pictures to certain people...has worked fine until today. Sends fine to some but not to others. What's up?
Like any electronic item, it sometimes gets inexplicably balled up. The reset is no different than rebooting a computer that is acting hinky. If you don't have to do it often, then it is not anythign to worry about. (I know - not the kind of tech talk you were probably expecting, but the words selected are about as scientific as you can get concerning this type of weirdness....)
Cheers,

Messages won't send pictures or files.
Hello,
My Messages in Mountain Lion won't send pictures or files (using imessage). It did work for a few days but has now stopped. The strange thing is Messages beta in Lion still works perfectly. I've tried deactivating anf activating account and still no luck.
Any ideas?
ThanksHi,
I've been with the same problem for a couple of days, until finally today Messages simply stopped showing even a the window, so absolute inability to use it.
Considering that reinstalling the operating system is NOT a solution, I searched for something myself.
Pictures are controlled by xpcd, imagent and Messages, and it seems that when the problem arises is because they're using the wrong Apple server.
While this may be solved by Apple in a update (I hope so), in the meantime you can do a workaround (it worked for me on two different machines, and even days old images appeared).
In your Library, there is a folder called Preferences (that is /Users/<your_username>/Library/Preferences). There you should delete com.apple.imagent.plist com.apple.imservice.iMessage.plist and com.apple.imessage.bag.plist, with Messages CLOSED. Then reboot so Messages creates new ones. Also delete all file starting with com.apple.imagent, com.apple.imservice, com.apple.imessage and com.apple.iChat that end in .lock.
If even then it still is not working, deleting all files starting with com.apple.imagent, com.apple.imservice, com.apple.imessage and com.apple.iChat 100% for sure. But when you reboot you'll find you need to input again your login data for iMessage, FaceTime, Yahoo chat, AIM chat, Google Talk and Jabber (if you used them on Messages/iChat).
This is an annoyance, but less than a whole operating system reinstall or losing the functionality.
After all of this is done you should regain the ability to receive photos, send photos and drag&drop photos.

Natalia Portillo
