Emailing a Slideshow (elements 7)

I have created a slideshow in Photoshop Elements and I would like to email it to family and friends, when I save it as Web or Computer Monitor and then send the email it takes a really long time to mail -- it stays in the outlook for more than 30 minutes. When I save it as email, its faster but the quality is really bad, all blurry.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm using a new computer (Laptop).
TIA
Valerie

Don't do that. Those slideshows are HUGE and will probably choke the mailbox for some of the recipients. Either post the slideshow to a website and send them a link, or do the simple pdf slideshow, paying close attention to the overall file size you're creating. Many ISPs have a 5 MB limit.

  • Exporting Emails with Photoshop Elements 10

I have been attempting to resolve this issue for two weeks with no resolve.  I set up an email system with the wizard, and I receive the following error message:Connection to server has failed Acct. "charter.net' Server 'charter.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port:25; Secure (SSA: No: Socket Error: 10060, Error# 0x800CCCOE Or I am asked for a verification code from an email they have sent to me.  When I use the code, it states, "An unexpected error has occurred."  I have had many chats with Adobe to solve this issue with no results and used the suggestions from Adobe to no good end.  I think that something in my set up is wrong, obviously, and no tech seems to be able to get to the source of the problem.  I called my server, Charter.net and Dell, where I purchased the product, but neither one will help me.  My computer is 8 years old and out of warranty, so Dell won't help and the server doesn't do this kind of thing.  Help.  I'm frustrated and need to move on to my work and I need this tool in order to work.

This error doesn't come from Photoshop Elements. This is an error from your email client (Outlook?). Your email client account is not setup correctly. When you create an email with Photoshop Elements, it sends it to your email client which then performs the task of sending the email. You should be contacting your ISP (Charter) for help in setting up your email client correctly (Dell and Adobe are not going to be able to provide the information required). Do not mention Photoshop Elements in your conversation on this issue. Once you are able to successfully send an email from your email client (without using Photoshop Elements) you should then be able to send emails from Photoshop Elements without error.

  • How do we send photos by email in Photoshop Elements 13?

How do we send photos by email in Photoshop Elements 13?

    Hi Gordon,
It is not a good idea to post live email addresses in replies as this is a public forum and somebody might harvest the addresses for scamming.
For clarification, I will go through the preferences that you should have set up.
Go to Edit -> Preferences - Email
    Click on the New button
Give it a Profile Name like MyGmail, select Gmail from the drop down list of service providers and then click on OK
Enter your Email address - this is the account to send the photos from not who you are sending them to. The address should be in the format [email protected]
    Enter your name
Enter the password for the email account you gave in 4 above
Click on Validate - It should come back and say credentials validated successfully - if not check your settings.
Click on OK and close the preferences.
    Now try sending a photo.

  • I have made a slideshow in iphoto can i email the slideshow?

I have made a slideshow in iPhoto can I email the slideshow? Or do half to do something else to e-mail after I made a slideshow in IPhoto?

You can't email a slideshow in an editable format. You will  need to export it from iPhoto (file -> Export) and that will create a QuickTime Movie from it. You may - depending on the size of the file - be able to mail that.

  • Email a slideshow created on IPhoto

How can I email a slideshow created on IPhoto to a contact who may have a PC?

Export the slideshow - that makes a movie of it, but I wouldn't email it. Simply, sharing video via email is not advisable.
Many email services have an attachment limit of 20mb and some a limit of 10mb. As emails are sent through an array of relays, the effective limit is the smallest file size allowed on any of the relays.  That means that video is rarely suitable for emailing.
Then there's the whole issue of Codecs and not all machines will have the codecs to play all videos. Plus, folks with slower connections can find it very inconvenient to download large video files.
Finally, sharing video from iPhoto via email is not supported. All that gets you is the Movie thumbnail. If you feel you must share via email then you'll need to export the video first, and attach that. Use the File -> Export command and set the kind  to Original.

Other than that your options include:
Upload it to a sharing site like YouTube or Vimeo and email a link - these will allow the recipient to view the material online. That will avoid the codec issues mentions, and the person can still download the video file if they wish.
Upload it to sharing services like Dropbox or YouSendIt and email a link. This will require that they download the material to their machines to view.

If you are talking about a slideshow you made in keynote, you can simply press the wrench at the top left, press share, and then click the format you want, probably powerpoint, and email it straight to yourself.

  • Emailing a slideshow from iPhotos

Can someone please answer this question: is it possible to email a slideshow from iPhotos?  I've read the other comments and it's been a couple of years. I'm hoping that maybe this issue has been resolved and no one knows about it yet. Anyhow I have a MacBook Pro Mid 2010, OS X runs on the latest iPhoto version. Thank you for any help you can give me.

No you can't email a slideshow. A slideshow is simply a series of instruction in iphoto about how to display certain images in certain ways. To share a slideshow you need to export it. This makes a video of it. But...

  • How do i email a slideshow

how do i email a slideshow from iphoto?

    Greetings,
Export you slideshow in a size that will be small enough to email:
Select the slideshow in the Source list on the left hand side of iPhoto.
Click the Export button in the toolbar at the bottom.
In the Export window put your mouse over the "i" on the far right hand side and observe the file size of each movie size. Most email providers only allow you to send files that are up to 10 MB to 20 MB.  If you are choosing a size that is larger than 10 MB or 20 MB you may not be able to email your movie.  Check off only the size that meets this limitation.
Remove the check mark for "Automatically send slideshow to iTunes"
    Click Export
Choose your desktop and then click ok to export the movie to your desktop.
Compose your message and attempt to attach the movie on the desktop.
There are a variety of websites out there that will allow you to share (host) your movies, pictures, etc.  If you are a MobileMe subscriber (or trial account user) you can share movies in your Gallery which can be password restricted if you so choose.  Read more here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=MobileMe/Help/en/mmfbced517.html
    Hope that helps.

  • How to email a slideshow

Is there an easy way to email a slideshow?

    infoguy:
No, there no easy way to do that. First you'll have to export the slideshow as a Quicktime movie. It will be pretty large if you have any transitions, music, etc.
In order to make it small enough to email you'll have to reduce its size with an application like Quicktime Pro or VisualHub. In getting down to a reasonable size for emailing you'll have to reduce the window size and quality level quite a bit. Lots of work for that. If you have a .Mac account you could upload it to your Public folder and then let the recipient download from there at their leisure.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Sending a slideshow via email in Photoshop Elements 10-how do you do it and have it come out good?

I made a slide show, and under properties, chose size to share via email, then attached it to an email.  I viewed it, and boy was it crappy!  All out of focus and broken up.  How do you create a slideshow for email sizing and have it come out like the original pictures?

If you have Windows 7 you can use Live Mail. Simply click the attachment icon and add your files and you will get an instant slideshow for emailing.
Recipients are no longer forced to install Microsoft Silverlight.

  • Slideshow Elements 9:  Lose audio when creating a .pdf file from the slideshow

I created the slideshow in Elements 9.  Works great.  Created the .pdf and I lose the audio. I'm trying to send the slideshow via email so it can't be too huge, so I didn't consider the .wmv.  In troubleshooting it mentioned removing the artwork as one potential issue and didn't get into detail as to the other problems could be. So  I removed the artwork in Itunes from the .mp3.  I converted from .mp3 to .wav to see if that made a difference. Neither helped.  I was able to create the .pdf of a slideshow with audio in Elements 7.  What do I do to make it work?
Trying to get this figured out to send the slideshow for Christmas so any help/suggestions are appreciated...13 days to go

Sorry for the late reply. Have you been able to send the file?
However, i created a slideshow with a mp3 file and when i output the same into pdf format, it just played fine with the music i applied while creating.
Can you mention the number and size of the files that you used to create the slideshow.
Just to add, you can also create online albums with various templates like christmas and many more and can share them with friends.
