Emailing from a website link opens lots of windows
When trying to send an email from a link on a website, instead of opening a window for the email, it opens what appears to be an infinite number of windows instantly. Browser freezes and I have to force quit. It doesn't happen when I fill in a contact form email. It does happen with all browsers. Any suggestions as to why this started happening? Can't always copy the email address since it sometimes just says something like "click to email us" . BTW, I have McAfee antivirus - don't think it is a virus, but I guess it could be. Thanks!

Unistalled McAfee and MacKeeper, read MacMalware Guide, downloaded and installed AdwareMedic and removed some adware. Still having the emailing problem. Then I ran EtreCheck and here are the results: I am not sure what to do with them:)
Just noticed that ZipCloud is still on here - will uninstall that as well. I realize that my hard drive free space is low, but I have some allocated to Parallels and this is a small and old hard drive - just don't have a lot of space, and I am constantly deleting things. I usually try to keep 20 GB free - I know I need to do that. My bad:)
Also, I have ordered 4GB of Ram to replace one of my 2GB, so hopefully having 6GB will help.

EtreCheck Problem description:
I have uninstalled MacKeeper and McAfee on advice of the community. I also downloaded AdwareMedic and installed it. It located some adware on my computer and I deleted that. I have reset all of my browsers, and the caches clear when I close them. I am still having a problem:
When I try to email by clicking a link on a website, the browser (any of my browsers - Firefox, Safari or Chrome) opens an unlimited number of tabs entitled email (pages are blank) until I am able to force quit. This doesn’t happen if I complete a form on a contact page and press send, it only happens if I click on a link (for example a columnist’s email at an online newspaper or a link to email a video).
Also, my computer is running slowly. Activity Monitor shows that about 1 GB is necessary (system or root), but the rest is small programs or processes that it assigns to me as administrator, but I don’t know what most of them are, whether or not I need them and/or how to stop them from opening automatically. Those add up to about 2GB and my total memory is 4GB. I have deleted everything from “login items” under system preferences.
FYI, I have Parallels installed with Windows XP. Should probably upgrade Windows, but I only use it once a year for a windows only program that I use annually for tax purposes, so I don’t want to invest any more in that.
Can’t think of any other info that might be useful, but please ask if you need more info. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me! Mary

ICloud is blocking emails from my website
I work for a company that is similar to eBay in that we act as a venue for registered members to sell collectible LEGO items. I work behind the Help Desk and have received many similar complaints from iCloud (@me.com) email addresses. These users continue to complain that they are not receiving email notifications regarding invoices for orders. I called Apple but was on hold for so long, I had to get back to work and gave up.
What I am wondering is if Apple is blocking emails from our website. I would really appreciate it if an Apple representative could contact me regarding this issue, as it is causing a lot of frustration with our community members. We have had to ask users to sign-up for Gmail accounts to receive correspondence, because we simply cannot come up with another solution. Is it possible that we are blacklisted? We did send out promotional emails over Christmas and I am worried we were blacklisted as SPAM senders. Just above the textarea that you use to enter the message text on the "Compose New Mail page" there is usually a button bar with buttons to add text formatting like Bold and Italic.<br />
That toolbar may also have a button to turn a text link into a clickable hyperlink (look for a chain like button).<br />
You can select the text and click that button to turn the link into a clickable hyperlink.<br />
If you can't find the button then hover them all to check the tooltip of each (e.g. Insert hyperlink).

A website I frequently visit will no longer come up. Safaris says that my connection has been lost but it hasn't. I even get emails from the website but I still can't get on it. Why would it all of a sudden do this?
The reason, I included the annotation that I'd upgraded my Itunes, (On my Computer) is B/C in many forums - the very first question, *HELPERS* ask, is. "Do you have the latest version of Itunes downloaded on your computer." I wanted to knock out any obvious replies.
Now- "DO YOU have any idea,"... how your UNHELPFUL remarks, do absolutely nothing but hurt others that might not have the EXPERIENCE you have? How do you expect people to know things without asking questions? Whew! RUDE!!

In Lion, the default of pressing a link on a web page, is to open the page in a new tab. In itself, I do like this because this is what I did for 19 out of any 20 links, which I command+clicked in previous Safari versions.
However, there is a snag to this behaviour. Most (all?) secure site do not like links to be opened in a new tab. For example, when I am doing Web banking, The the linked page doesn’t open in new tab. Rather I get a page telling me my login session is expired. Probably a security measure instituted by my bank.
I since found out, that a command-click opens lings in the same window. Theoretically that solves the problem, if I would think about this all the time. I don't. Old habits die slowly.

I got it figured out today, basically you have to load the Parallel Flash Loader first into FPGA ram. It is a special .sof file (pfl_epXXXX.sof) based on your FPGA. Code is actually pretty straight forward, using the Sys Exec VI. Use the windows based programmer to generate the .cdf file that identifies your FPGA, attached Flash and .pof file .
Syntax was odd going into Sys Exec. Note the extra "C" in in front of the "quartus_prm.exe" I have no idea why that was needed, but I was getting an error until I just happened to put it in there (Blind Luck :-))
I used a 2 element array going into a four loop
cmd /cquartus_pgm.exe -c USB-BLASTER -m JTAG -o P;pfl_epXXXX.sof
cmd /cquartus_pgm.exe -c USB-BLASTER -m JTAG S_FPGA.cdf
Defining the working director C:\altera\12.1sp1\qprogrammer\bin
And added match string with "Successfully performed operation" on the output in the loop to make sure everything loaded correctly then adding the array to give me a overall P/F
To anyone doing this same thing Altera's documentation is poor to say the least. It took most of a week to figure this out Not allowed to upload code, so anyone wanting details just post here and I will try to help. This was painful, with lots of lessons learned.

How can I turn off Recently Visited Websites when opening new Safari window?
After tapping on the two overlapping boxes on the bottom right of Safari, a new blank window appears with Favorites, but now in iOS 8, recently viewed websites are listed. How can I turn this function off? I do NOT want my new Safari windows to have history displayed of previous websites I visited. I only want my Favorites (on the top) to be displayed. Please help.

Let me try to ask my question a little more clearly:
When I tap the two overlapping boxes on the lower left (the option to Open New Windows), the new Window that appears will show your Bookmarked FAVORITES. But with my new iPhone 6, and the new iOS 8.0.2, when I tap the two boxes to open a New Window, my Bookmark Favorites show (as they always have and should), but below them, there is a dividing line underneath them, and it says Recently Viewed Websites, and has these websites available to tap.
So my question is, HOW DO I TURN THESE OPTION OFF?
*UPDATE (10.13.14): Since I have asked this question, I no longer see these Recently Viewed Websites under my Bookmarked Favorites in my new Window tabs. So I hope that Apple fixed it, or somehow it was a mistake, or somehow I changed an Option on my iPhone 6 that stopped this for reoccurring.

Not receiving emails from known website
Hi I regularly purchase items on line from a website but when I had forgotten my password and clicked forgotten password link on the site though it said a new password had been sent, no email arrived!
I therefore contacted the website and they said to check I had added them to my contact email list which I had, they said that the browser Firefox may be blocking emails coming through, I really need to get back on to this site can someone please help, they mention cookies, exceptions etc, please see their info below, I am not really up on this type of thing and never had this problem before! Incoming email from Muse website – point size
When my client receives a response from the Contact submission form on his website I constructed in Muse, it comes into his email in minuscule font size and is almost unreadable. He has tried changing the view to “largest” type size but that only alters the size of the heading, not the body text of the messages. Is there a way of controlling the point size of the text of the incoming email from Muse?
I posted this in someone else's question, but it answers the same problem. I just discovered this last night, so I'm hoping I can help other folks having the same issue!!
Question for you... do you use Outlook to retrieve your emails on a desktop PC? If so, then you're probably clearing the email server before your Treo can ping it & get your emails. I finally discovered this on my own after fighting with it for about 4 weeks. I use Outlook 2007, but would assume the path is somewhat the same for previous versions. Try this:
In Outlook, go to: Tools > Account Settings .. click on your email account & click "Change" .. click the "More Settings" button .. go to the Advanced tab .. click the button that says "Leave a copy of messages on the server", and then set the next option to "Remove from server after 2 days".
That did it for me. Hope it works for you!!

Problem sending emails from my website form
I have a website hosted on my iMac (www.isinglive.co.uk). I have set up a registration form page. When a user completes the registration the php script should send a confirmation email to the registrant and to admin. Unfortunately these emails are not delivered. For most of them I can find no trace.
For two (so far) I have received emails from [email protected] stating:

I do not understand what that means.
My httpd access_log shows:

Brgds isingliveyou need to use a real email server on a network that allows mail to be relayed. For example instead of trying to send through local mail make an email address with your ISP account and then use that to send....
For example i use roadrunner so i might set up an account with my ISP called "webserver" so then i could send using that account. using phpMailer it might look like this:

I have a business scenario where there are names in sharepoint web page.
When a name is clicked, it should launch a hosted infopath form page with prepoluated value in the to and from boxes.
Then the user can click on hte submit button and the request will be sent as an email to the person in the To box.Hi exploreIT,
So as per your requirements, you need an infopath form associated with the names. It seems like the title of the list item would be person's name. When you click on the Name (Title) it would launch the Infopath form associated to that item.
You can create a list and customize the form with InfoPath. Create Data connection to send email from the infopath when it is submitted. Refer to this link:

Customize form to populate the title in the To field and using GetUserProfile.asmx to populate the From field (as the person filling the form). Now only work left is to create the list items with the names (title). Hope it helps.
