Emailing numbers files from safari browser

When sign on to my mac account from Safari, I can't attach numbers files for emailing. Do you think it is due to the extension (more than 3 characters)? Any solutions? I think I can email a numbers file using the mac mail client but I am not always at a computer that I can use the client.

Even when using OSX's Mail program you should always zip up your numbers files. just because if it is large, Zipping can reduce your file size significantly. I prefer to use DMG files if I am sending something over 500k to a Mac user. this enables them to have only one file that they download, when they double click on it, it mounts the DMG and they can open the file straight from there.
If they want to keep it, they can save it or drag it to where they want. If not its only a DMG file, not another folder created by the unzipping process. Zips make you have two files to delete later, one zip and one file/folder. I am always going behind myself cleaning up extra Zip files.

Hi, I have had an ongoing issue with downloading files from Safari 6.0.1. When I click any links (even from emails) to download various files from pdfs, zips to photos, firmware etc, Safari opens a new tab with the file URL in the navigation bar. However, the tab is a blank gray window, and the download does not begin. I have been copy pasting the links into firefox and the downloads work fine. Would rather be using safari though and its rather annoying to be opening a separate browser anytime I need to download a file. Any ideas?

How can I convert a numbers' file from iPad to an excel file on macbook pro?

When I try to open a numbers file from my ipad mini in macbook pro, it appears unformated. How can I solve this situation? I don't have numbers on Macbook pro...is it necessary?

I havne't had this problem myself, so I can only guess, but my first suggestion, if you haven't already, is to try sending it to yourself via email from the ipad & when it asks you for the format, choose excel.

Upload iCloud file from Safari (iPad)

Like many people, I consider iCloud as a great initiative from Apple but I am desperate to see that it's impossible to select an iCloud file from Safari (iPad) and to post this file on a website. Does nobody have to upload a CV, a PDF or an Excel sheet on the Net from his iPad from example? At the moment, you can only select a picture or take a picture! This is not serious. The pdf is loading as html code. If you save it, it will download as :
605124.pdf.html
Change the extension to .pdf
And it opens and works perfectly, I just tested it:

Now I can't remove her e-mail address from my computer. When I open Facebook her address shows in the user button. I do not have a Facebook account. It was suggested to me that I try clearing temporary files from Safari but I can't find anything that tells me how to do this. Are temporary files the same as the cache? It also was suggested that I try clearing Safari cache. How do I do that?

Check Safari/Preferences/Passwords to see if the Facebook account is there. If so, select it and remove it. If you are still having problems, Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. If that doesn't work, Safari/Reset Safari.

When downloading a file from Safari, it goes to downloads and you can't re-name the file before it is saved

I am new to MAC and have trouble when downloading files from Safari that I want to save to a particular folder with a new name. Can you do that without first saving to downloads, then moving the file to the documents stack, then changing the name?

Although the right-click contect menu has "Download linked file as" and you would think that would allow you to rename the file as it is downloaded, it always gives me a useless html file. Maybe I am misunderstanding what that menu item actually does. I long ago gave up on renaming files during download. So I'm as curious as you about whether it can be done.

I have one Admin and multiple Managed servers running.
Each creates its own log file.
Is there anyway I can access this log files from the browser ?
In Apache, you can create a link from htdocs dir to the logs dir
and then view the log files from the browser. Is there a similar
mechanism in Weblogic server.
A quick response is well appreciated.

If you are on a unix system you can do something similar by making an open
directory webapp with symbolic links to the weblogic log directories. I suggest
that you protect that webapp with administration access only.

I do not wish to use adobe reader. I just uninstalled it and now I can't view pdf files in preview when attempting to open the file in safari browser. How can set safari to open any pdf files using preview application?

I need to create a PDF file from any browser and add more data to the PDF.. My partner is running WIN 8 and IE10. He can do this.
I'm running WIN 7. Is this IE or Windows? Do I need a plugin that I don't have on the Win 7 box?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output andWi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Hi,
Open up admin console. Expand "Servers" node to view servers in domain.
Right click on a server (or select Logging/ General tab) and select "view
server log".

I know you said you threw away the internet plug-ins, but you should double-check this since that is a very common cause of the behavior you describe.
