Emailing pics from IPhoto with Mail

How can I get Iphoto mailed picture mails to appear in my 'Sent" box?

I'm with you on this. iPhoto has improved since iLife11 first came out, but this is still a weakness. When I think I have sent some pictures to someone, but they claim they didn't get them, I'd like to go to the Sent folder, confirm that they were sent, then resend if necessary.
If I sent the picture to myself, then forward to the intended addressee, when I try to clean up the mail getting rid of the forwarding info, I seem to lose any attached photos. I know that there was a .zip file attached to the original, but it doesn't seem to go along with the forwarded copy.

You should be able to do it with Dropbox.

  • When trying to email pics from iPhoto I get this prompt:  email server didn't recognize my username/password combination.  Help?

How do I fix this problem?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Your specified email server — or the username or password, as the message states — appears to be incorrect.  iPhoto shares its email accounts with Mail.app, and these accounts are visible in iPhoto using the Accounts section of Preferences.  Does sending mail with Mail.app work with the same server iPhoto is using?

  • Emailing Pics from IPhoto

When trying to email photos directly from Iphotos, I receive the following message:
Your email did not go through because the server did not reply
Check your Internet connection. If the connection is working properly, the email server may be down. Try sending your email again later.
    Any ideas?

I should of been a bit more specific, in my earlier question.
I did check my internet connection and I was able to receive and send emails, access internet, etc at time of receiving this message.
Is there something in my settings that I should be reviewing?
    Thank you

  • IPhoto 11--unable to email pics using iPhoto mail

After I select a photo and then click on the "Share" button to email the photo using iPhoto, iPhoto crashes. However, when I change the mail program in iPhoto to Apple Mail, I am able to email the photo.

    rceenik:
Go into iPhoto's Accounts preference pane and delete the email account that's in there and close iPhoto. Relaunch iPhoto and add it back again.
    nhsebas:
Do you have your gmail account setup in the Mail application's Accounts pane?
If you don't then do so.  If you do and still can't send from iPhoto with "Mail" set as your email client,
Then delete the Gmail account, close Mail, reopen and add it back again.

I'm trying to email photos from iPhoto 09 using the Email button. No matter what photo size I choose (Small, Medium, Large, Actual Size) in the subsequent compose dialogue the resulting email always shows a small embedded photo. Any tips?

    iPhoto Menu -> Preferences -> Accounts ->
Delete and recreate your email settings.
Alternatively, use Apple's Mail for the job. It has Templates too - and more of them.

You need to set it up once in iPhoto-> Prefs -> Accounts b/c not everyone who uses iPhoto has or uses Mail.

  • Before I downloaded Lion every time I would upload a pic from iphoto there would be two files.  One that was 1.8MB and another that was 50KB.  Now I can only find the 1.8MB one.  Did this option disappear with Lion?

Before I downloaded Lion every time I would upload a pic from iphoto there would be two files.  One that was 1.8MB and another that was 50KB.  Now I can only find the 1.8MB one.  Did this option disappear with Lion?  I really need this option!

Sorry but this is not clear.
    When you would "import" what?
two files would show up in "images".
Do you mean in the All Images search in the Finder?
    IF so:
1.Never interact with photos that are in iPhoto via the All Images Search. This does not understand the iPhoto Library and it's very, very easy to damage the library this way.
    2. What you were seeing was the original file you imported and the thumbnail created by iPhoto for viewing on the iPhoto Window. That thumbnail is not designed for user access.
What are you trying to do ultimately?

Welcome to the Apple user to user assistance forums
There are two (2) places to set the size and either of them can make the photos small - in iPhoto when you select a photo(s) and click mail you get an option to sent the photo Actual, large, medium or small - and then in the Apple mail compose window at the lower right hand corner there is a menu that again lets you select actual, large, medium or small - be sure that both of these are set to the size you want
