Emailing smartform with datamatrix 2d barcode
We have a demand to put datamatrix 2d barcode on our delivery forms (manifest and bill of lading). These forms are smarforms.
When printed the datamatrix 2d barcode on the smartforms is what it should be. Our problem is when we want to email these forms the datamatrix 2d barcode is represented by 4 vertical lines. What I understand is that the datamatrix 2d barcode is generated by the print driver and when emailing it does not pass by the printer.
How can theses forms be sent by email with the datamatrix 2d barcode.

How do you email the form?
Since the printout works OK, I'd think if you call the Smartform's function module with the proper device (printer) specified and request the OTF data, you should be able to convert that OTF to PDF, attach it to an email and send it to the desired recipient(s).
At least that's the path I'd try to follow...

I am using BO SOFMFOL and these FM to send my smartforms to external email:
- CREATE_RECIPIENT_OBJ_PPF
- CREATE_SENDER_OBJECT_PPF
- SO_USER_AUTOMATIC_INSERT
This is working fine. My question is: How do you add an Email Body? I am on ECC 6.0.

Problem with DataMatrix barcode
Hi,
I am using a xdp form with DataMatrix barcode in designer 7.1. I am rendering the xdp as pdf in livecycle workbench. The problem is the barcode is working properly in desinger, but in the rendered pdf its not working, Can anyone identify which might be the cause of this problem.

KruthiThere are typically two reasons why a Barcode does not render on a form:
The barcode has exceeded it's capacity. If the barcode is designed to hold 1,000 characters (for example) and the .rawValue is 1,100 characters then the barcode will gray-out in Reader 7.x or will simply disappear with Reader 8.x and higher. In this case you need to adjust your code so that the capacity is not exceeded. Try reducing the number of fields included in the data and DO NOT use XML, use tab-delimited data capture and convert this to XML when you decode the data. You can also add additional barcodes to your form. You are not limited to a single barcode on your form.
You are filling out the fill-and-print PDF barcoded form within the free Adobe Reader and have not properly licensed the technology. If your users are filling in your barcoded form using the free Adobe Reader you need to license Adobe LiveCycle Barcoded Forms from Adobe. If you do not the barcodes will disappear in Reader 8.x and higher.

It's an web application made in Oracle ALBPM and which uses JSPs to entering data. The insert is made on the database object inside the ALBPM studio:

FROM TABLE
I was expeting to get a larger value in LENGTHB(FIELD), but the values are equal. I can only insert 2000 characters from the application, so, I was expecting a LENGTHB 2x greater than LENGTH(FIELD). -
I created second email account ([email protected]) with a Password but when I try to get mail and enter password, it says "Sending of Password did not succeed. Mail server mail.comcast.net responded: login failed". What am I doing wrong?
Have you logged on to the webmail account using a browser and enabled either Pop or Imap forwarding for that email address?
Have you created a mail account in Thunderbird that uses the chosen webmail forwarding option?
Password - make sure caps lock is not switched - it must be the same password you use to access the webmail account.

Hi all,
I have a form that wroks perfectly in Acrobat but not in Reader.
The form has a button that when clicked it locks all the fields & opens up a new email window with the PDF attached to it, this is how it works when used in Acrobat.
The problem its with the user of Reader, when they click the button, the fields are locked but no email is sent and no new email window opens.
I have Reader extended the form & selected all the options, but still that doesnt help.
Can you please assist.

How to pop-up Outlook Email window with To: blank?
Hi All,
I currently have a page which shows multiple rows with checkboxes. I have an After Submit process which loops through the rows and stores some values of the checked rows into a variable to be used as the body of an email. I then call apex_mail.send() to send the email.
Instead of prepopulating a TO: address within the process and have it send automatically, I would like to have Outlook pop-up the email window with the body prepopulated as mentioned above but with the TO: address box null so that the user can select the address from Outlook's Address Book.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

2: If you go this route, there are a few things you need to remember:
The mailto tag is client side. So you would have to generate the javascript on the server and print it out on the client.
If your users do not have Outlook, or another mail client, this will do nothing.
If you have a really long message body it will not work.
If you have weird characters you will need to encode these.
So, if you still think that the mailto is what you need then here is some javascript that will auto open it for you:

this is all greek to me. WHAT IS STARTTLS? On the first page of Apple set up there is a TLS certificate and it is marked NONE- should I change it to the long APPLE CERT option? The next page under ADVANCED: THERE IS A BOX SSL MARKED. Then IMAP Path Prefix - I put stmp.gmail.com.. is that right? Port 993 can use this one? as 456 doesn't work and 587 said it wasn't safe. Under AUTHENTICATION I used PASSWORD. Should I have used external client cert TLS?

Is there ANY way to use another email address with iCloud?
Apple let you use any email address as an Apple ID, but I really want to be able to use a non-Apple email address with my iCloud mail. Just about every email service (Gmail, Hotmail, etc) allows you to send from a third-party address (once you've done a security verification) so that you don't have to change your email address when switching services. iCloud seems to have no such option. Is there any way round this, or any way to put pressure on Apple to add this basic feature???
