Emails attach to my photos at random?

I have iphoto11, 9.4.3 and when I select any template, a photo, and then send, through iphoto all goes well till I see it. ( I always CC myself) This photo email will attach itself to random emails on my computer. All from different people and sent at different times. Some are six months old in a folder I have kept.
So it can be rather distressful to see my picture sent to the recipient and then maybe 3-4 emails of mine attached to it. It does seem random.
What can be the problem?

What version of the OS do you have (Your profile says 10.6.8 but you say that you are running iPhoto 9.4.3 - those do not go together)
What email client are you suing to send form iPhoto?

Are you saying that iPhoto is sending your old emails to other people with the photos you send? How do you know this? Has anyone forwarded one back to your so you can see what they received?

OK I have it figured out! I was using google mail. For what ever reason the imac/pc safari using google would not display the PDF in the email even though the ipad/iphone did. I tried a different mail system through work (not google mail) and it EVERYTHING works GREAT!!!!! Wow, a lot of wasted time over something that was actually working.

Email attachment from i photo

Very strange: I Originate an email from iPhoto. The images mount in an email. The email will NOT send if the images are screen shots. The email WILL send if the images are photos from a camera. Why should mac mail treat these differently?...when the screen shot was imported into iPhoto, iPhoto turned it into a jpeg, right? I also tried this: converting the screen shots into jpegs using my Image Well app, and then importing the jpegs into iPhoto. These would not send! Finally: If I originate the email in the email app, and attach the screen shots, the email will send.

Now multiple jpgs won't send. Other people have posted that problem. Looks like Mt. Lion has a bug with email attachments. It's not just a matter of pngs in iphoto.

PE 11 Email Attachment Body Edit

When I use PE 11 email attachment to forward photos to email contacts, I do not have the ability to edit the body of the email. I cannot get the cursor to show up in the email body to edit the body of the email before I send it. Any ideas to fix the problem?

Yes, this is a known bug, unfortunately. For now you can create your text in another program and copy/paste it in, but so far there's no fix.

Eric, thanks for the info about the pictures, it worked. The mail icon is not the one that came with the mac(it looks like a stamp with an eagle) this appears at a notepad with a ruler,paintbrush and pencil. I can not open it, I did not download it and now I can not turn off the computer with shutdown I have to manually turn if off by pressing the power button. This can not be normal. I'm vacationing in Costa Rica and Windows email outgoing messages are blocked so I must go to this Verizon server to send emails. I'm not able to attach single photos. Everything seems fine..the arrow just spins for about two minutes and then I get the following message: " Please check your network settings and try again". Photo does not attach.

Sorry to hear about the problems you are having with email attachment. If you are not on a Verizon connection, you can not use outlook with the standard POP settings. You must use the webmail. I have sent you a private message

Random new line issue in email attachment using utl_smtp need your help.

Email attachment photos not appearing as thumbnails

When I receive a Yahoo email using Safari, the email attachment preview photos appear as a grey box with an inner blue box with a question mark in the middle. When I checked my Yahoo email using Firefox, the email attachment preview photos also do not appear. They show up as a gray box with a broken image icon in the upper left corner. The difference between the two is that in Safari, I am unable to download the pictures and view them at all. Get a securedownload thing. In Firefox, I am able to download the pics successfully. The preview photos (thumbnails) used to appear at the bottom of my email messages and I was able to click on them and download. My question is: How do I fix this problem of not being able to view the attachment photo previews (ya know the ones beside the words "Scan and save this photo to your computer"?

Are you seeing the image problem on other web site pages, or is this specific to Yahoo? If occurring on various web sites in Safari usually indicates the "display images when page opens" box is not checked in the Safari Preferences>Appearance panel. The counterpart setting in Firefox would be Content>Load Images Automatically.
If not, are you using any 3rd party Internet blocking software?

Why can't I attach documents and photos to my outgoing emails in Windows live hotmail

Ever since the new version of Windows live hotmail has been downloaded on my computer, the only way I can attach documents and photos to outgoing emails is thru Internet explorer without any add ons and even this was not easy. I used to be able to attach with no problems and now I cannot and I really need to be able to do this. I send alot of emails with attachments. Every time I try to attach a document it gives me an error message. It just says error nothing else. Please help!!!!

Pages saves its files as a small package, not a single file. You will have to compress it first (think it's called Create Archive but can't be sure). You could do File>Export & choose .doc which would save it as a Word document & then attach it to the email (some formatting may be lost).

Random email attached to mail

I just sent an email to someone - it was a brand new email not a reply. It had four attachments (screenshots) which I dragged into the mail from the desktop, When I looked at what I'd sent I saw that it had a second mail attached to the bottom of it, one that I had sent to someone else months ago. Why has this happened? Could be very awkward Now I'm worried that whatever I send will have some random second email attached...
I'm using 10.8.3 and Mail 6.3

From your further explanations it sounds like your system sent two separate emails. This is what I think you have said:
You sent one email that you meant to send and it had an attachment you meant to attach.
An additional email got sent. We don't know why. It is a random email from December that got forwarded to the same recipient as the email you meant to send. And it is being arranged or colored in the list of emails as if it is related to the one you meant to send.
Is that correct?
I can't think of a way this could have happened. I'm just trying to nail down the problem so that when someone else comes around they'll know what the problem was.

Iphoto can't email more then 1 photo at a time

Currently when I try to email more than 1 photo from the Iphoto buttons at the bottom I get the following error:
Mail got and error: can't get paragraph 8 of content of outgoing message id 79941680. Invalid Index.
I am using iphoto 4 and Mail v3.2.

There seems to be an incompatibility with iPhoto 4 and Leopard when it comes to the Mail functionality. You can use iPhoto to export the photos to your Desktop, select those for your attachment, then delete from the Desktop when done. If you want to use iPhoto direct to Mail, it seems you need to upgrade to a later version of iPhoto. The only way to upgrade is to purchase one of the iLife install discs.
BTW, this is the iPhoto 6 forum. If you have further questions about v4 you should post on the forum for v4 and earlier, to get answers from users more familiar with that specific version.
