Emails gone

Email are gone...message saying cannot find server, I know server is working because emails are updating on an ipad

Hi there!
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB):
1) Register HRT
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now
2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you could try deleting and re-adding your BIS conduits for the affected email accounts and/or contacting your carrier for formal support.
Good luck!

  • How can I get my messages back? 4 months of email gone; 124 Notes gone on Pro & iPad, still there on iPhone 4s

4 months of email gone from my Mail inbox; on all devices, including iCloud; 124 Notes gone on Pro & iPad, still there on iPhone 4s; no idea how this happened. Was running Lion, now Moutain Lion. Repaired permissions etc. Now what? Thank you for help.

Apps and other media can be downloaded again for free, see this article: Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • Why can I only see iCloud email from the last 4 months? Where have all my old emails gone?

I was trying to track down an old email from November last year and having used the search tool with no luck resorted to scrolling through the weeks. I then discovered to my horror that I didn't have any emails beyond 1/12/13 !!
I have subsequently checked online using iCloud and the results are the same. Where have all my emails gone? I have been a MobileMe member since it started and pay for increased storage - which I am no where near utilising - how can I retrieve the 'missing' old emails? I have many Apple devices and it appears they are mssing on them all....

You might want to go to icloud.com and open your calendar, then click the gear icon and choose Preferences, then make sure you aren't hiding old events on the Advanced tab.

  • Email randomly not sending, no error message, Email GONE

    Hello,
This has happened multiple times, seemingly at random, and it is EXTREMELY frustrating.
I will compose my email, hit send, I get the 'whoosh' sound, little spinning wheel next to the Wifi/LTE logo, etc., and... nothing. The email never arrives, it's not in my sent folder, it's like it never existed. It's just GONE. The only way I can tell if a message has sent or not is to go check my sent folder every time. I had some pretty important emails get eaten like this before I even figured out it was happening, which I'm sure you can imagine did nothing good for my reputation.
It has happened with big emails and small emails, emails sent from several different accounts, and it seems to happen about 30% of the time. I can't figure out any pattern to it. I'm watching the wheel turn now after 15 minutes of waiting for a 2MB message to send (4 photos at "large" compression and 2 medium paragraphs of text), so it seems like it's trying to send, but I don't see a drafts or outbox folder anywhere. My Wifi connection is fine and other apps on my phone are loading data quickly and easily.
I just quit Mail and the email is officially gone. No more spinning wheel, nothing in any of my sent folders (I checked them all).
The fact that it works sometimes and not others seems to suggest my settings are correct. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried removing the mail account and adding it back? Is this the only email account you have on the device?

  • ICloud emails gone on my new iPhone5?

I had 25 or 30 saved emails and they are gone.

All iCloud emails are stored on the server. Are they still there if you log in to http://www.icloud.com/ on your computer?
If they are, then you just need to setup the account on the phone and they will be there also, as the iPhone only shows what is stored on the server.

  • Thousands of emails GONE!

Thousands of my "sent" emails and email in my trash folder are suddenly gone.
This is years of communications suddenly missing for no reason.
Would these emails be in a folder I don't know about in the harddrive? Does anyone else have this problem?
I was left with only a handful of emails sent recently.

    Jester
Not sure what email accouts your using, are you talking about iCloud, or was this perhaps the Apple Mail program.
If you could be more spacific I am sure someone might be able to help more

  • Unauthorized update  + all my past accounts, folders emails gone

Just opened my computer up this morning and mail says, "we have some new feature, let me show you". I go to mail and all my work accounts are gone? Only Mobile me there. I did not click on any update and I always review updates before I do them so how has this happened?
AT the moment, I am unable to do my work b/c I can not figure out where all my in process e-mails are.
    ***??????

not insulted at all.I can hardly believe it myself.Yeah initially I checked in user/library/mail on the system drive, both my accounts were litterally gone.So I went into Time machine and it seemed to freeze, got out of that and went into the time machine disk itself and in all those user/library/mail,both accounts missing. Here's the stranger bit.I remade my accounts in Mail, and after they were added and made active all my old mail messages were suddenly in the inbox BUT when I click on one of those messages I get a blank email..no text.. just the subject only .This was the same for both accounts. So .it leaves me wondering where those headers are stored as the full messages are now gone.and how the accounts got deleted where before installing the graphics update and the ilife update I think it was,all my mail was just fine.thanks

  • Where have my saved emails gone - Empty folders

Just installed Leopard. Opened Mail and within a few minutes my inbox was updated with all my existing emails. Unfortunately all the emails I saved in seperate folders have disappeared.
Have they gone completely or have they been saved automatically somewhere else.
"On my mac" appears above these folders so I'm now guessing they could be saved somewhere on my HD???
    Any ideas?
    Regards
    Craig

    Craig,
select the folder, then select Rebuild under Mailbox. Your messages should reappear.

  • Email from current day showing - all other emails gone

Not sure what happened, but yesterday all inbox emails were suddenly gone.  Only have email from yesterday after 3 till now.  I checked preferences and couldn't find anything wrong.  Please help - I'm one of those people that had over 5000 emails in my inbox and used them as reference.

    Try this:
In some cases, you might need to rebuild a mailbox to update the list of messages in the mailbox--for example, if messages appear to be missing or garbled, or if you can’t find all relevant messages by searching. Rebuilding a mailbox can take awhile; it’s recommended for fast Internet connections only.
    Choose Mailbox > Rebuild.
For IMAP accounts, locally cached messages and attachments are discarded and the messages and attachments are downloaded again from the server to your computer. Your mailbox appears empty until the download is complete.

  • Typo in resue email gone to stranger

    hi, please help!!
I forgot my security question answers for my Apple account, so I had them sent to the rescue email Address. I then realised that there was a typo in the rescue email and the security question answers have gone to a stranger!!!
Is there a way to change the rescue email address? I desperately need to buy an app but can't unless the stranger forwards the security answers!!!!
    thanks

Not without supplying two of the answers.
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.

  • Sent emails gone

I use an iPad with iOs8 and was having issues with the default mail program not sending emails. So, I deleted the account and recreated it. All the INBOX emails came in, but all of my SENT emails are missing now.  I assumed they backed up on the cloud, but it wasn't a cloud email account. It's the default email account that comes with ipad. Is there a way to get the sent emails back?? So upsetting.

The sent emails are gone. They are not backed up to iCloud unless they were associated with the iCloud email account.
There is no default email account that comes with the iPad. You must be referring to your ISP mail or some other service like GMail. The received emails were retrieved from there.

  • 18 months of emails gone from inbox

This morning checking my email encountered the repeated login error discussed on the board.   Once I was logged in and not getting logged back out, I noticed that approx. 18 months of emails are missing from my inbox.  Bascially from middle of Aug to May of 2011 messages are gone.  I did not delete them, they are not in any of my folders.  Any idea/suggestion on how to get them back or where they went.
I am really tired and frustrated with Verizon email service the last few months.

Just my personal opinion, DO NOT COUNT ON A SERVER ELSEWHERE TO SAVE YOUR EMAIL.  Personally I use a client on all my PC's to download copies.  I have one of them set to delete them after 7 days, and the rest to leave a copy on the server.

  • Emails gone after Mailbox rebuild

I had a problem since I could not delete a message, it grayed out, but didn't go to the trash, so I rebuild the mailbox as advised, but now all my messages are gone.
Is there a way to get my messages back?
    Gerrit,

I had the same problem when I updated from Panther to Tiger yesterday - used archieve and install. I found a partial solution, as follows: Go to your home folder, then /library/mail/(email account)/inbox.mbox. I found a folder in there named "Messages-(long alphanumeric string)". I renamed this folder as simply "Messages", restarted the mail app, and rebuilt the inbox.
Now I have my email messages back, but not all of them. At the time I upgraded, my Inbox in Panther had about 1100 messages, about 500 unread. After the upgrade and before doing the folder rename, the "Messages-alphanumeric string" folder had about 770 files inside. Because these were not being displayed in the Inbox in the Mail app, I don't know how many were marked read and unread. After the folder rename and the Inbox rebuild, I had 720 messages in my Inbox (400 unread) and 720 files in my "Messages" folder. The Inbox rebuild renamed every file in the "Messages" folder and deleted about 50 of them.
I had made a back-up of my Panther disk to a firewire drive before the upgrade. I imported my Inbox from the backup, which created an Import mailbox with the same 720 messages, 400 unread. Somehow, the import process causes about 400 of my Panther Mail messages to disappear.
The unhelpful Mail Help on this general topic says these kinds of problems can occur if your Inbox file exceeds 2 GB. This does not seem to be the cause of my problems because my Inbox folder is only about 160 MB.

  • HT4864 September 29, 2012 all email GONE

I use my iPhone to view email from multiple accounts, and log into those same accounts on my laptop
This morning, September 29, 2012 I went to check email on my iPhone and everything was gone.  No email from iCloud, no folders - nothing.
    Same result when logging into my iCloud account on the internet via my laptop;
......Contacts fine, etc. - but email has vanished.  THOUGHTS????
I have always been hesitant to have all my data in a place I cant see/touch/backup - but it seemed to work well.   Now - my concerns seem justified.

You can try restoring the emails using Time Machine.  just open the mail app and then choose Enter Time Machine from the TM icon in the main toolbar.  Then choose a past backup that contains the emails.  If using a PC, then do something similar, using whatever backup program you use.  That would be your only option.

  • Where the **** have my emails gone?

I am getting this message: The message from S Hey <[email protected]> concerning “Re: rain sand and bears” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.
Which is bull because the email was downloaded and the account is on 24/7.
I use a POP server and have my Mailbox behaviour set to NEVER delete. Anything over a week old has now gone, including business receipts, transaction details etc. They were there two days ago. Please someone tell me they're not deleted?!

This is one of the many bogus error messages in Mail that have absolutely nothing to do with what the problem really is. What the error message really means in the case of Mail 2.x is that the *.emlx file associated with the message isn’t where the index says it should be.
I have no idea what may have caused your messages to disappear from the filesystem but not from the index, though. Have you tried searching for them in Spotlight?
You may also want to try to salvage as many deleted *.emlx files as possible with a data recovery tool such as Data Rescue II, TechTool Pro, or FileSalvage. Of these, the only one I know for sure that can currently recover deleted *.emlx files is FileSalvage. Stop using your computer right now if you want to try that, as anything you do with the computer may cause the deleted files to be overwritten.
