Emails have dissapeared from Entourage

Hi,
Looks like all my emails have dissapeared from Entourage! Yesterday I was moving some things around on my macbook, and deleting what I thought were useless files, and today I turned pn my macbook, opened entouarage and it asked me if I anted it to be my default mail server and all my emails from the past month or so had gone!
Have I deleted them forever accidentaly,or can i somehow get them back?
I've not been having much luck recently.
regards,
C23

Your email data is in your Microsoft User Data folder in your Documents folder.
User > Documents > Microsoft User Data > Office 2004 Identities > Main Identity > Database
Do you have a backup of this anywhere? It sounds like you deleted it.

How can I find my email in Apple Mail from before my company switched hosting providers?  People with Outlook in my company have all of their old and new emails.  My old emails have vanished from my Apple Mailbox on my macbook and other Apple devices.  I do not have my mail backed up in time machine recently nor did I export my emailbox recently.  Any ideas?

Try looking in your User folder.
Either hold down the option key while using the Finder “Go To Folder” command and select your user Library in your home folder or use the Finder “Go To Folder” command and enter ~/Library/Mail/V2
If you prefer to make your User library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.
    Show User Library
You might want to bookmark the command. I have to use it again after every update. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

Try restoring from the backup created at the beginning of the sync process:
Without connecting your phone, open iTunes, go to Preferences, on the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically"
Connect your phone, right-click on the name of your phone when it appears on the left sidebar in iTunes
Select Restore from backup, choosing your most recent backup to restore from
Disconnect your phone and confirm that your photos are back
Go back to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and re-enable automatic syncing.

  • Events over a year ago have dissapeared from my iPod

    iPod version 4.2.1
    iTunes 10
"Do not sync events older than 30 days" is NOT checked.
I just doscovered that items over a year old have dissapeared from my iPod touch.
They are on iCal on my MacBook Pro.
How can I get them back on the iPod.

You mean you have an appointment at an Apple store? If so, you don't need anything but the phone.

Try a restart. If the problem is the same, try deleting the com.apple.finder.plist.
Either hold down the option key while using the Finder “Go To Folder” command
and select your user Library in your home folder or use the Finder “Go To Folder” command and enter ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist.  Move the .plist to your desktop.
Relaunch Finder (command - option - esc) and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the same, return the .plist to where you got them from, overwriting the newer ones.
If you prefer to make your user library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.
    Show User Library
You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.4. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

  • I have backed up my iPad to iCloud as prompted but my emails have disappeared from my Mailboxes. Is this suppose to happen and can I access my emails in the iCloud backup, if so how?

I have backed up my iPad to iCloud as prompted but all my emails have disappeared from my mailboxes, is this suppose to happen? If so, how can I access my backup to see my emails?

Thank you, I never thought about accessing webmail. They are all there.

  • All of my emails have vanished from inboxes on ipad and servers - is this a problem with the ipad operating system?, All of my emails have vanished from inboxes on ipad and servers - is this a problem with the ipad operating system?

Last night I went to check my emails on my ipad and noticed that all of my inboxes (gmail, yahoo and exchange) were completely empty. I logged on to each individual site on my computer and the inboxes were empty there as well, with no trace of the lost messages in any trash folders or other folders. Obviously this is completely unacceptable as I have lost hundreds of important emails. Upon searching online I found that other people have experienced the same exact thing  but apple has provided no explanation. As the only device that I use to access these 3 email accounts is my ipad I feel like it must have come from there. The chance of all 3 servers malfunctioning and clearing my inboxes at exactly the same moment last night is too ridiculous to contemplate, despite being suggested by the customer service advisor that I just spoke to. And I have no other evidence that my accounts have been compromised, and they have separate usernames and passwords anyway. Has this happened to anyone else? Or can anyone provide any sort of explanation? Thank you

You're welcome. As to checking speed go to http://speedtest.net/ and it will choose the closest server for you. BTW, whatever you do, don't click on the robot icon that says "Start Scan" or MacKeeper below that. Only use the speed test in the middle that has the button BEGIN TEST on it. It will run a download speed test first and then an upload speed test. The download test will give a much faster response.

  • Some certain songs have dissapeared from my ipod, however if I try to re-download them it says that the songs are already on my ipod. Help?

Hi, just started up my ipod today to find that certain songs/albums have dissapeared completely. In 1 album just 2 songs remain from about 15, and a couple of albums have just completely gone. I've tried syncing with itunes, no luck. If i try to re-download the albums, then it states that the albums are already downloaded, would I like to buy again? I don't particularly want to spend £20+ re-buying these songs, any ideas what to do?

    Ariana...
so I assume there should be some track of them
    Yes.
In the iTunes Store on the right under Quick Links click Purchased (new).
You'll be able to re download past purchases for free if you are a resident of the U.S., and have iTunes 10.3 or later installed.

  • Most of my emails have disappeared from mail Inbox

Hello, last night my emails in my Mail inbox disappeared. I didn't notice at first because the last 10 days are still there, but then I realised that 4 years of email from 1 Nov 2012 up to 2008 (around 20,000 messages) are gone. There are a few for 2008 and then the rest  - I had emails back to 2005 have also disappeared.
I am not aware of having done anything different last night - all I did was check my mail as usual -  and it was only when I tried to search for an email that I realised my inbox now contains only 300 emails. When I go to iCloud it is the same story. Only 303 emails in my inbox. Trash only contains a few hundred, so its like these emails all just disappeared into the ether
I have no idea what to do or how this happened or what might have caused it. I run Lion 10.7.4 on an old black Macbook and have not installed anything new or upgraded software. I don't download unusual attachments so doubt it is a virus.
Is there any way to try to recover them - my inbox is my filing system so years of important stuff is missing. Any help would be very much appreciated.
    thanks

  • All my Emails have vanished from my IPhone

I have 2 other Email providers along with ICloud. Between the time I went to bed to when I accessed them the next morning, all of my emails within each of my other 2 email providers had disappeared.
    Any thoughts?

Are the emails still on the server?  By this I mean if you check your email online, are all of your emails still there?  If so, you can attempt to delete your email account in Settings and add them again.  Settings > Mail, Contacts, and Calendars will bring you to your accounts.

  • Some emails have disappeared from my account

My email has been working perfectly but recently some emails seem to have completely vanished. All suggestions appreciated

Sign out of iCloud (System Preferences>iCloud) reboot and sign back in.

  • A bunch of my notes have dissapeared from all my devices

I had around 100 notes and just the past few days I've noticed that I now have only around 20.  I use notes extensively and now a bunch of them are missing with important info to me.  The only thing I can think of is when I did a update to my iPad.  I have my notes synced to icloud and have many devices to access it - iPhone 4s, iPads, mini mac, etc.  I read all the histories here but these are old.  Would love any help from anyone.

It's a good idea to backup your Mac Address Book application and iCal Calendars application from each application. This way you can go back and pull out items if you lose something. I do this everyday.

  • A whole batch (many months) of emails have disappeared from inbox

They tried the "repair folder" option and it didn't help.
They do frequent manual backups by copying the Profiles folder to another disk. Can that be used somehow to restore the missing messages, perhaps by restoring the applicable file? (How to determine which file to restore? They have about 3-4 email accounts in Tbird).
    Thx.

I have this problem plus I don receive emails at all.
Correction: I think I do receive emails but they do not come to my Mozilla thunderbird screen.

  • My photos have dissapeared from iphoto?

I tried to open iphotos but there are no photos there. Its as if I have just opened it for the first time?

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • My old emails have dissapeared

I suddenly cannot find any emails beyond 4 days old!
    HELP!
    Sarah

    Sarah,
Well the obvious first check is Menu -> View -> Messages and make sure All is checked. Beyond that, I need to know if you are using IMAP or POP3. Then we can look at some settings in your email account.
