Emails in inbox disappear after an hour or so

I am a new Blackberry user and not very tech savy- pretty much clueless.  I have a Curve 8330.  My emails come in on my Blackberry, but they only stay there an hour or two and then just fall off and disappear.  This is my second Curve in about a month doing the same thing- Cellular South(my cellular provider) could not figure it out so they gave me a new.  I have had several more proficient Blackberry users try to fix it- no luck.  My email provider can't figure it out either.
According to others looking at my phone for me- it is not a memory problem.  We are talking very low volume of emails- 3 to 15.  It seems to be more about time, but even that is not consistent.
It does not delete emails that I have sent or forwarded- received messages are only deleted.
I get all incoming emails on my desktop and Blackberry.  Emails stay on my desktop, but fall off my blackberry.
Email provider deleted an unread email off of the server- it deleted off of my desktop, but did not delete off my Blackberry.
Another thing is that the last two Fridays after 4:00 in the afternoon my emails stayed in inbox for Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday- then on Monday when I got my first email they all fell off.
Please help.

Also check your email configuration...with any message list displayed:

Make sure that the very last setting is set however you want. This will affect how long an email is kept on the BB.
You also might try deleting and re-creating the BIS conduit for this email account...it sounds like something is just not right and sometimes this process helps clear it up.
Hopefully something there will help.
Cheers!

  • Exchange email appears then disappears after one read !!

Since installing OS 3.0 on my iPhone 3G my Exchange email appears then disappears after 1 reading.
To get the emails back I go to the account settings and switch the Mail off (which removes the account and the folder format) then I switch the mail back on then the email are back again !!
(if it can get through to the server, as I often get a Sever error message)
    Anybody else seen this problem?
I don't use the Contacts or Calenders as currently through iTunes sync they seem OK.
Note my Yahoo and other POP accounts have no problems.
    cheers

    Problem Solved- Atleast for me
After going through this issue for more than 3 weeks, I was able to find the solution. For me emails continue to disappear but it was totally random. Calendar and Contact also disappeared but not as often as mail.
The problem resides on Exchange OWA server. On IIS I have connection limit of 10 connections which we was causing this problem. After increasing the limit problem is gone.
    STEPS
Search the logs under C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\HTTPERR for "503 1 ConnLimit", if you find this line then the solution is to increase the limit.
To do that, go to, IIS Manager, Right click on Default Website (where OWA is hosted), properties and go to Performance tab. Under Website Connections, increase your current limit. Restart IIS Admin and try IPhone mail again.

Hi Texas:  No my iPad is not jailbroken. I'm really just asking whether the built-in email program on an iPad is encrypted or if someone on the same free WIFI network as I am on is able to see my login and password with a sniffer program (or some such program).
    Thanks!
All passwords on iOS based apps is encrypted. It is extrememly unlikely your iPad and that WiFi connection is where the problem lays. In fact, it is quite possible your actual email account wasn't used: The sender address could easily have been spoofed. The email itself is not encrypted (very few mail apps/providers do this), and unless you are in a situation where the mail you send is of such a nature as to be that confidential, encrypting email will be more trouble that it is worth (your recipients will need the encryption key to read it).
Contact support for hotmail and change your password. You might consider changing yoru email address or even provider, but ther eis a chance that wouldn't stop the spam.

  • Emails in inbox disappear from ipad2

For some reason, after I look at an email from my inbox, it disappears without my doing anything to it. Sometimes I find it in the trash, other times it's just gone. I've checked the mail settings and the always ask before delete button is set to on.  So why is my iPad doing this and how can I stop it?

Some other device is accessing your mailbox besides the iPad. Do you check your mail in your computer? Do you share your mail account with someone else?
If in doubt, change the account password in the email server and just the iPad, so you can determine where else is the account being accessed. Note also that Exchange or Outlook mail accounts have a Mail Days to Sync setting; if set to something different than No Limit, mail older than the specified number of days will no longer be visible, although it still is in the server.

  • How to set iPhone so Mail messages in inbox disappear after being downloaded to Mail on my MacBook Pro

    Hi -
Previously, the Mail settings on my iPhone and MacBook Pro were set exactly as I wanted them to be: If I opened a Mail message on my phone, it stayed in the inbox only until I opened the Mail App on my MacBook Pro, at which time it downloaded onto the notebook and disappeared from the iPhone.  This is how I want it, as I have no need for duplicate emails in multiple locations.
I recently had to reformat the hard drive on the MascBook Pro and reinstall all the software and data.  Unfortunately, I was not able to save the Mail preferences, and now my Mail App works differently: Mail messages remain on both the iPhone and the Mac, and if I delete a message on one device it also disappears from the other.
Can anyone help me to figure out how to get the settings and preferences back to the way they were originally?  Thanks for any information anyone can provide.
    Shelly

Are you using Mac Mail - the icon that looks like a stamp?
If yes, you can create Mailboxes. (click on Mailbox in the menu bar and select New Mailbox...) These are folders and are visible in Mail.
You store the mail you wish to archive in appropriate folders.

  • E75 Emails in inbox disappear

    Hi there
I am a new user and have recently purchased an E75.  I eventually managed to set up 2 email addresses and notifications come through fine.
However........The messages just disappear from the inbox - I've tried to mark them as "unread" but they still disappear...... I've had our IT guy at work look at the settings and he can't see any obvious problems.  The inbox setting is Hide email older than 2 weeks, and is locked so I cannot alter this if I wanted too.
Also if a message has an attachment I try to download it and the message disappears and I have no idea if I have downloaded the attachment as I cannot find out in the instruction booklet where these would be automatically stored (if of course they are)
The message also disappears if I go to "view HTML".
I have also noticed that since setting up my email account on my Nokia I am not receiving any emails via Outlook on my PC.
Please can anybody help as the whole idea of sending emails to my mobile was so that I could read them before I got home from work - and look at the info in them as and when it was convenient, not loose all the details before I had a chance to deal with things.
    Many thanks

  • Inbox disappeared after upgrade to 7.0.4

I upgraded yesterday to IOS 7.0.4 for iPad mini. After the upgrade, I can't find anymore the collective Inbox that was showing all emails received from all accounts set on the iPad?.
I can only go to each account to see what is new there.

    Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

  • Incoming AOL mail in Mac MAIL Inbox disappears after a week

I´ve setup my AOL e-mail accounts in Mac MAIL. Receiving and sending mail via my AOL accounts works fine, but incoming mail will stay only for one week in the Incoming mail folder of Mac MAIL. After one weeks it disappears from the Incoming mail folder and it´s not longer available in MAIL at all. (I can only access it throught the AOL software or AOL Communicator themself, where it´s archived.). Sent (AOL) mail on the other side is still available in the Sent folder of MAIL. Is there any way to keep/store the Received AOL mail in Mac MAIL?

    Hi Padua & JWurzak!
I don't know if this will help, but, in your AOL Preferences > Mail: under Automation, do you have the two options below checked?
    Save the mail I read
    Save the mail I send
Also, in AOL Preferences > Filing Cabinet: do you have Automatically delete items in my filing cabinet checked, and Never selected, in the contextual menus below?

  • I've registered for the Firefox support forum, but the confirmation email hasn't come (after 3 + hours and 2 extra requests to "resend" it).

Besides the original registration, and 2 additional requests for the confirmation email, plus asking a previous question, which appears to have triggered the sending of yet another confirmation email, I've received none! And I really don't mind waiting an hour for a confirmation email, but 3 hours and counting is not acceptable.
And there appears to be no other way to contact anyone about anything -- except for a feedback form in which you have to explain the problem in one or 2 short sentences.
Yes, I've checked my ISP and my email is working fine. The test message I sent myself arrived in under one second! I've checked my spam folders, and they aren't there either.....not one.
    Thanks for your help :-)

  • Alert Inbox disappeared after CIM Model Update

Hi, a collegue of mine has updated the CIM Model of the SLD Content concern some HR stuff.
After this the Alert-Box and Alert-Konfiguration is no longer availaible which means that i get a 404. I checked the paramters in Exchange profile like given in 750287 - even checked services in SICF but everything looks good so far.
We also restarted the Java-Stack but with no success! Does somebody has solved sth like this?
    br

Is the CIM/SLD data at the same patch level as the of XI?  This can cause issues.
Also, check the RWB config in the Content Maintenance section of the SLD to make sure the correct associations are still in place.

  • IPhone Email Disappears After I Download Email to Outlook on my Laptop

Can anyone help me with the iPhone issue I am having?
When my laptop is shutdown, I can see and access email on my iPhone. But, the email on iPhone disappears after I download the email to Outlook on my laptop.

It sounds like you have a POP account, which is designed for accessing from one computer.
An IMAP account allows for access from many computers/clients.

  • My Hotmail inbox on my iPad2 disappears after 3 days.  Also, although my folders are there, there are no emails in the folders.  How do I fix this?

All the emails in my Hotmail inbox on my iPad2 disappear after 3 days.  Also, although my folders are listed on the iPad, there are no emails in the folders.  How do I fix this?  All the emails appear on my computer.

You can sync Hotmail via Microsoft Exchange. It will mirror your email account on your phone so that the account will look just like the one on your computer. Here are the instructions:

  • Email disappears after dragging from inbox to subfolder.

Email disappears after dragging from inbox to subfolder. It is not lost because if it is unread it shows as an unread email in the sub folder. When I set the folder to view # of emails the # of emails shows next to the folder, but the actual emails do not. Also
if the email that is moved to a subfolder has not been read it will show an unread email in the subfolder but still not be able to view the actual email.
This does not happen on all subfolders.

Tried resetting the view on that folder already? You can do this via the View tab.
Otherwise, you'll have to share more details like at least your version of Outlook and type of email account.
