Emails sent from my iphone not syncing...
Emails sent from my iPhone haven't been syncing with my macbook. Having finally looked into it I've clicked the 'Store sent messages on the server' box and whilst this makes all my iphone sent emails appear on the macbook, all the macbook sent emails then disappear!
How can I fix it so that I receive all sent emails from both iPhone and macbook on both?
It depends on the Email account you have. Who are you with? GMAIL, YAHOO, ICLOUD?

The email sent from macbook do not appear in my iphone and yahoo account
the email sent from macbook do not appear in my iphone and yahoo account
thanks for your help... I was feeling frustrated because the sync problem, but with your suggestion all contacts are now on my iPhone. _Thanks once again_.
I think that I was asking two different questions at the same time, because the problem with the iPhone synchronization was solved, but the .Mac Address Book still has no new contacts... just the contacts before the Mac OS X update to Leopard. I guess that I will need to look for help in other discussion topic. -
What is wrong to cause someone replying to an email sent from my iPhone to always bounce back to them?
It isn't for advertising. It is to let recipients know the message was sent from your iPhone in the event there are mispelled words, ect. You can add whatever you want such as sent from my mobile device.
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Signature. Select Clear and don't enter anything, or enter whatever you want. -
TS4083 emails sent from my iPhone do not update the iCloud server or my computer
I have a problem that emails that I send from my iPhone do not appear in my computer or in the sent folder in the iCloud server. Any help with this? I have a lot ef sent emails from my iPhone that I don't want to lose!!
Yes, iCloud is my default mail.
The problem I see with deleting the account is that I fear I will lose the sent mails which are only stored in the iPhone but nowhere else. I have also realised that the only emails that the iCloud server Sent foilder has stored are the ones that I sent from my Macbook and not the ones I sent from the iPhone. So in Summary:
- Emails sent from MacBook Air - stored on the iCloud server and MacBook
- Emails sent from iPhone - stored on Sent folder on iPhone
Any further thoughts? -
Emails sent from mi BB not refreshing in MSOutlook
Hi, i have this enviroment:
- MS Outlook 2010
- BB Curve 8520, v5.0.0.592 (Platform 5.2.0.64), kernel v3.8.5.85
- Gmail account
- Provider: Movistar
I have this configuration:
- Gmail account: POP enabled, IMAP enabled.
- MS Outlook: gmail configure as POP, emails kept in server & delete items deleted in outlook from gmail at sync.
- BB Curve: only use gmail account. Configured by Movistar (i think it uses IMAP), auto sent a copy of the message (in email configuration), has no address saved.
- Last version of BBDesktop for sync all data of the organizer between MSOutlook, and BBCurve (contacts, calendar, tasks & notes).
- My primary app is MSOutlook, then BBCurve, then Gmail.
I need, as my hard disk fail to reinstall. So i translate all to my notebook. PST included. Install BBDesktop in notebook, etc.
Everything is all right (...but):
In my PC i have this:
- Emails sent and receive in Gmail, are sync with Outlook (with a single rule, all emails that i receive from gmail sent by me are moved to Sent Items Foldes in Outlook).
- Emails sent from BB, are sync to Gmail and Outlook.
- Emais sent from Outlook, are sync to Gmail, BB, with the side effect that Outlook gets emails duplicated (that is something to that i get used to, so, there is no problem with it).
Since i move all to my notebook, i can do almost everything, almost:
- The problem is that Emails sent from BB, are sync to Gmail, but not to Outlook!
- I have seen a lot of time all configurations, and all appear to be the same as always.
Solutions & Problem to be solved:
- I try make BB sending me a copy of all outgoing message, automatically, and this seems to work, but now, i get the duplicated email in Gmail.
- As my primary app is still Outlook, i cannot handle the duplicated email to be erased (manually), or i have to connect to Gmail to mantain it clean.
Any idea about the best way to configure Outlook/Blackberry/Gmail to achieve my goals?
Thanks for any idea!Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Not all services are able to sync Sent Items via BIS. Not knowing who hosts your business account, we can't tell you if it should work or not. Here's a matrix that discusses the reconciliation features of various email providers.

Emails sent from Thunderbird are not getting received when signature attached
Emails sent from Thunderbird aren't being received by my yahoo and gmail accounts when I have the signature attached.
It's a business email account, and I really need to have a professional signature.
Thank you
SusanThere is a reason we suggest only composing HTML signature in the composer and saving the file. However, could you email me to see what that signature actually looks like (It might bounce we will see how google likes it.) this forum really messes up HTML source

Can you sync email sent from the iPhone to Mail.app?
When you send an email from iPhone, can you have it sync'd to the Sent folder of your Mail.app on your Mac? I had a look through the iPhone user guide and couldn't find the answer to this quesion.
It seems this is an unfair
disadvantage for POP users.
disconnekt,
I think your perception on this issue comes from an unwillingness to accept that POP email was never designed to take advantage of the features you want. It was conceived as a single client/server email retrieval system. It was nothing to do with "fairness". It is what it is.
Your desire to have the ability to receive, manipulate, and send email using different devices (iphone/desktop/laptop) yet have all those changes synchronized regardless of which device is used is a valid one. Many people (including myself) feel that way. However, I doubt Apple will spend significant development resources in finding a POP solution to this because it has already been done.
It's called IMAP accounts.
In fact, apple has adopted this protocol in it's own email services, .mac My guess is that most development resources will likely be spent along enhancing functionality in their chosen platform, not POP
Unfortunately, that still leaves you in your current situation. If you can accept what POP is (and what it is not), you can take action on a possible solution rather than wait/hope one will be developed for you. I would advise slowly transitioning to an IMAP account as this seems to be more suited to your needs. I had 4 POP accounts exclusively until I got tired of being limited to checking and sending all my mail from home. I didn't want to check or send mail on my laptop, because once I did, those messages would have already been "downloaded/uploaded" and thus unavailable/unseen when I checked mail on my home computer. My mail ended up scattered across 2 devices. (sound familiar?) I dreaded changing email accounts because I felt I would lose important contacts in the process. In reality, it was no more devastating than a home address change when you move (which I'm sure you've done before)
Here's how I did it:
1. Get an IMAP account. (.mac is one. There are many)
2. Most POP accounts allow for auto email forwarding, enable this feature to funneled all your mail to your new IMAP account.
3. Create a signature announcing your new email address and use this on all outgoing email.
4. Continue this until you feel comfortable dropping your old POP account. (I have yet to delete mine and it's been almost 2 years.)
Also note, that you could actually keep your old POP account indefinitely. Senders would just notice that all outgoing mail to you is addressed to a different domain then all incoming mail received from you.
Make the change. Based on what you've want you'll be glad you did. -
Email sent from Nexus 4 not showing in Mail client
Going from an iPhone to an Android device has it's own issues, but one that shouldn't be an issue is that of IMAP emails.
In replying to any email from the Nexus 4, it will not be available to view in Apple's Mail client, which I use for all 5 of my email accounts. It will show in Mail that the email has been replied to with the arrow on the left of the email, but it will not allow me to click on the arrow to see the email I sent. It gives me an error message, 'Mail was unable to find your reply to the message "email subject title". You may have deleted the message'. Nope, I didn't delete the message, but now I can't see it. This is a very crucial missing element for business reply emails. My compnay uses GMail servers for all it's mail, so it's not a me.com email issue specifically. Funny enough, that email account set up the easiest. It doesn't show messages sent from the Nexus 4 either, but I'm sure it's all part of the same problem.
Is anyone else having this same/similar issue?
Thanks for the help, Bruce. For Exchange GMail there is a way to set your iOS device to use a different "Send As" name than when using a computer. Unfortunately in your case, you can set your computer to send an alternate name but the iOS device can only send the default GMail name, which is the name associated with your account. Ideally, you would like your iOS device to use the alternate and let your computer use the default.
But if you want to play around with this ...
1- On the iOS device itself, use Safari to navigate to m.google.com/sync. You will have to log in at the prompt with your GMail account info.
2- Select the iOS device name (in case you have multiple iOS devices using Google sync).
3- Select "Enable 'Send Mail As' for this device" and Save the changes.
4- Using a computer, log into your GMail account and select Settings/ Accounts and Import, then at the "Send mail as" prompt select "edit info" (off to the right).
5- Change your outgoing name.
The name you specify in #5 will be used by your computer, but the iOS device will continue using the original (default) outgoing name. You can see why you need the opposite in your case, so unless you can change the default to be your wife's name and then set the alternate to be your name, I think you're out of luck. -
Emails sent from alias are not appearing as alias address with recipients
I have a personal domain name email alias. I have linked this to a free Outlook account. I have set up the outlook account on TB using my personal domain alias. However, when I send an email using the alias, it appears in the recipient's inbox as coming from the outlook address and not my personal one.
The issue definitely isn't with Outlook or my personal domain, as it works when sending mail from my iPhone.
How do I fix this?I assume your using some sort of outlook.com app. Because hotmail aliases do not work with Thunderbird or any other mail client that uses SMTP. They used to, but Microsoft made a decision to prevent that. All mail sent from their SMTP server now uses the details of the primary account. They actually remove what Thunderbird puts in there to substitute their own.

My Yahoo email sent from my iphone to myself shows up in spam folder
i wanted to send myself an email from my iphone, waited for an hour, but got nothing. after logging into my Yahoo Email account on my pc i found all my emails in my spam folder from myself.
Why am i spam? Will i be spam to anyone i reply or send mail to? This only happens from iphone, is there a way around this?hello,
Just an FYI update on my post re: after update to version 2.0.2
my computer no longer sees my iPhone as if it were an external
HD as it had before update using version 1.1.4. Shortly after posting
this problem, I logged into my usual user acct, not the user name specified
with iTunes user acct, and although I had chosen the option of making
iTunes the default music player for iPhone acct, I hadn't indicated
the iTunes default with my usual surfing user acct. Anyway, just after
I posted and logged out of that acct and logged into my usual one
a dialog box opened unsolicited and asked if I wanted to make iTunes
the default for usual acct name. I said no thanks, and now on that user
acct I am able to copy photos from iPhone without sync process as if
the iPhone was an external HD as I could before. Now before I sync
Photos back into the iPhone using the iTunes user acct, i select
the photos I want and put them into the specific folders I have set
up inside the iPhone photos folder and tah da, the folders will have
The pics I want back on the iPhone in addition to the Camera Roll
folder. Still wish I could figure out why the orientation of pics sometimes
requires editing for correction. Knowing how to use a screen shot to
repair orientation has helped alot though. To be continued. -
Why Gmail sent from my iPhone not appearing in iMac's Sent folder?
Hi guys,
Some time after installing iCloud - possibly the same day, I sent a message from my iPhone 3G to multiple recipients.
a) No one got it, b) my message appears as Sent in iPhone and in Gmail (on their site), and on my iMac's Gmail/Sent folder, but not in the iMac's Mail/Sent folder - which is the one I always check.
I have 2 questions: 1. how come a message appearing as Sent on Gmail's own site isn't received (there were 4 recipients) and, 2. why does it appear as Sent in some but not all Sent folders?
Would iCloud have anything to do with it?
I just sent a test message to myself from my iPhone. I got the message both on the iPhone AND iMac, but again the message does not appear in the iMac's/Mail Sent folder. Bizarre?
PS All my software is up to date, regardless of what my profile says.
Thanks a lot,
RaphaelPlease ignore the above . I have discovered what I did wrong - but don't know how to delete the question!

AIM account doesn't receive any emails sent from my iPhone
This help question is going to sound odd maybe, but here goes. I just set up an AIM account for my girlfriend so we can use iChat and her webcam. But she wants to use the email portion as well. I receive emails from her on my iPhone BUT she doesn't receive any of the emails that I send back to her from my iPhone.
They show in the "send" box of my 3 email accounts, they are not AIM accounts btw. They are local isp accounts. If I send them from my MacBook Pro, they are received by her. If I send them from the WEB sites of my isp, she receives them.
Why not from my iPhone???
Any help would be appreciated.
Steve.Check the outgoing SMTP server settings for the mail account on your phone and make sure that they are the same as on your laptop. You may need to use several alternative SMTP servers depending on whether you are sending mail via your home wi-fi or via 3G. Ask your ISP for the first one and your mail provider for the second. You can enter multiple SMTP servers on your phone and it will try them in turn.

Email sent from Mail (Mavericks) not getting received!?
When I send an email it leaves the Outbox and winds up in Sent, but it is not received at the other end. It disappears into the void: no error message, no bounce notification, nothing. It's hard to say how long this has been going on since I have no way of knowing which emails were received and which weren't.
My email is hosted with Bluehost. (I have a ticket open with them but they take up to 72 hours to respond.) According to Connection Doctor their SMTP server is working. Mail sent via their webmail interface works fine. Nor is it any particular receiving domain; test mails to my Gmail and Yahoo accounts were also not received.
I have all kinds of other complaints about Mail (in particular with search) that I've chosen to live with but this problem is obviously intolerable. Is there anything I can try while I wait for Bluehost to verify that the server's working?

Well, well, well. I'm a bit peaved as I write this. We have been unable to upgrade to Tiger Server, and the big reason is PERFORMANCE. In our environment, Tiger Server simply grinds to a halt when under a normal load (CPU usage at 100% per CPU). This
