Emails with embedded image show only =20

I am seeing this issue across multiple iPhones with iOS 4.3.x and 5.0. It is very inconsistent. I have seen the same email go out to multiple users in a group and some can see the embedded image correctly while others only see the following in place of the image:
------_=_NextPart_002_01CC8F42.DA025060
Content-Type: text/plain;
   charset="us-ascii"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
=20
=20
=20
=20
This tells me the sender isn't formating the message in a way the recipient cannot read it. It seems to be an encoding issue. The email will display fine in various email clients but not on the iPhone. The same email can later be sent again and it will work fine.
The iPhones' email accounts are setup as IMAP and the mail server is running Exchange 2003. I'm sure this will go away once I upgrade the server to 2010 and use ActiveSync with an Exchange account instead of IMAP, but I need to make it work correctly for now.
Is anyone else experienceing this issue and if you are, what server, account type, iOS are you running?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I have the same problem with FF 14.0.1 on a freshly reinstalled Win7 32:
I have a 100Mbps cable connection, but get a '''ridiculous 4-5 Mbps''' out of FF while the latest versions of Explorer and Chrome gives at least 75Mbps...
All tests have been done with virus protection on as well as off (the latter is something I loathe doing) and with two different speed tests, one of them being speedtest.net. The results are conclusive: The problem clearly rests with FF. So: What in Heavens name has happened to my longtime favvo browser? At the moment it is quite useless and I am at my wits end.
I don't particularly want to, but as of tonight I'm transferring all my bookmarks to Chrome as a hopefully temporary measure.

  • UTL_SMTP send HTML email with embedded image?

Hi, I can use UTL_SMTP to send an HTML email ok, but does anyone have an example of how to include an inline embedded image in the email? Thanks!

If you want to send the html page and have it
reference the images and css files on your web
site, that's pretty easy. Just create a message
with text/html content that is your html page.
If you want to include all the images and css files
in your message along with the html page, you'll
need to create a multipart/related message and
you'll need to change all the html to reference the
images and css files using "cid:" references.

  • Outlook 2010 takes a long time to open emails with embedded images

    Hello,
outlook 2010 on windows 7 both with latest updates applied. outlook is in online mode and the option "Don't download automatically in HTML  email messages or RSS tiems" is not selected.
it takes a long time to open the message with an embedded picture: at 6 sec to open an image size of 75kb
When I open the same message in OWA no delays at all.
I am using Exchange server 2010 Sp2 and I already created new outlook profiles for the users affected. no changes.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Aprylmsx,
According to your description, I recommend you refer to the following methods to troubleshoot the issue:
    1. Please check if there is any anti-virus software on your client PC, if yes , please disable it and check the result.
    2. Please check if there are any 3rd party add-ins in your outlook, if yes, please remove it and check the result.
In addition, How many users encounter this issue? a lot or just only you?

  • Iphone forward email with embedded pics show as attachments

when ever using active sync with exchange 2010, any forwarded mesage will get the inline pics sent as attachments
is there a setting to prevent this on an iphone?

I have done some more digging and the ATT0001.HTM files seems to be a glitch in the OS

  • Why can't I forward emails I receive with embedded images?

I have an iPad 2 and it seemed like I was able to forward emails with embedded images in the past, but now it never works. In fact, I've tried emailing directly from Photos and I have the same problem. No one gets any of my attachments or images. I've updated the operating system to the most recent version and it's made no difference.
And to make it even more frustrating, when I check my sent messages, the images are there!

Are you sure that you've set up an account that will automatically delete the messages? Is it a POP or IMAP account? I had a .mac account years ago running Entourage, but never had a problem. For some reason it seems that the server is not deleting your messages upon quit (or however Mail handles it). Maybe we'll just bump this up and see what kind of response you get from those with .me accounts running Mail.
What version of Office do you have? I'm pretty sure that 2004 was a PPC suite and won't run on your new MBP. If you had 2008 on your PB, then you should just have to re-enter your activation key.
    Good luck,

  • When I forward an HTML email with embedded graphics to someone, it forwards it as plain text.. this is driving me batty.. how do I forward such mails INTACT??

I have the latest Thunderbird installed on a new 64-bit Winblows Eight netbook.. fantastic program, but one problem is driving me absolutely batty, and after using the latest Thunderbird for weeks, I simply can't figure out how to fix it..
I'm on a lot of mfr. and other kinds of mailing lists, like eBay watch list alerts, and so on.. these are not s p a m (although I get plenty of that.. who doesn't).. but lists I WANT to be on..
Many such emails from those mailing lists are in HTML format with embedded graphics.. I'm not talking about graphic file attachments, but embedded graphics which are coming from the senders' servers, and appear AS a graphic in the email.. sometimes such emails are one huge graphic with hardly any text.. all well and good..
However, here's the problem.. when I want to forward such an email to a friend, Thunderbird ALWAYS formats it as plain ASCII text.. I know this because I look in the "sent mail" folder, and can see that it has turned an HTML email with embedded graphics into plain ASCII text..
I absolutely can't figure out how to get it to forward an HTML email with embedded graphics INTACT, so the sender receives it looking the way it looks when I receive it from a mailing list, or an advertiser, or eBay, or whoever..
Is Thunderbird capable of forwarding an HTML email with embedded graphics INTACT?.. If so, how / where do I turn on that capability?..
If the capability to do this isn't built into the program, is there an add-on I can install that will give it that ability?..
I am not new to computers.. but this really has me stumped.. I want to put Thunderbird on my 32-bit Vista laptop and stop using its horrible "Windoze Mail" program, which I've been using for years, and is slower than snot, and has all kinds of other problems..
So, assuming whoever reads this FULLY understands my question, PLEASE tell me how to get Thunderbird to have the ability to forward an HTML email with embedded graphics AS-IS, so the receiver(s) I forward it to see it exactly the way I see it when I receive it.. if that ability is built in, please tell me how to turn it on.. if that ability is not built-in, please tell me what add-on I need to install to give Thunderbird this capability.. if Thunderbird absolutely can't forward an HTML email with embedded graphics at all, please also tell me that..
A virtual box of candy and a dozen long-stemmed roses to anyone who can give me a solution that works..
    Thanks..

Dear Mr. Toad (my all-time favorite ride at Disneyland ;-) ..
Thanks so much for your detailed reply.. my netbook is in the bedroom, turned off.. I (so far) only use it in the evening, in the bedroom.. I've saved your response, and will try your suggestions, and let you know if they solve the problem I described. I really appreciate you taking the time to post such a detailed reply..
I can't answer your Thunderbird "configuration" questions, because I'm in the living room, using the crap Vista laptop, on which I plan to install Thunderbird, and then take Windoze Mail out in the street and drive over it a few times.. I'll get back to you one way or the other, and let you know if your instructions solved the problem, or not..
I don't understand why Thunderbird "out of the box", so to speak, simply doesn't forward HTML emails with embedded graphics, (like Outlook Excess, and Winblows Mail do).. without having to go through those steps. I personally HATE HTML email, but over the years, it's become more and more prevelant.. so it's a problem I must fix..
    Thanks again..
    Harv..

  • What causes all my emails with embedded media to always be downloaded with the media broken or removed? How do I solve it?

Whenever people send me emails with embedded videos or pictures, the email always comes in without the media. It will have just the empty box outline where it supposed to be with a tiny broken page icon in the top left-hand corner.
I can't seem to find the cause and the solution and this has been happening for a few years already. Does it have anything to do with my account still being POP and not IMAP? What are the possible reasons and their solutions? Please help, thank you.

I am not an expert in this area, but I think I might know what is going on. There is a difference between an 'embedded' picture and an 'attached' picture.
An embedded picture has a link to the actual picture. If the link is to a site which is not accessible (such as the sender's own computer) then you will get a broken link.
An attached picture is the actual picture file (.jpg, etc.) so you can always view it. If you check 'Display Attachments Inline', then when you scroll down through the email, the attachments will show up.
So, bottom line: If the sender embeds a picture, it needs to link to a publicly accessible URL. Otherwise, it needs to be attached.

  • Mail problem with embedded images and links

Since Yosemite Apple Mail seems to have a problem with images that are used as a hyperlink to a website.
While links are clickable with external loaded images work fine, links with embedded images just do not anything. Clicking on them selects them, a double-click opens the image in Preview.
    This works:
    <a href="https://www.google.de"><img src="https://www.google.de/images/srpr/logo11w.png" alt="Google Logo"></a>
    This does not work:
    <a href="https://www.google.de"><img src="cid:logo_google" alt="Google Logo"></a>
    Can you reproduce this problem?
We tried it with OS X 10.10.1 and 10.10.2

After a bit of digging around I think I have found the reason for the EO being called prior to the CO. In the parent page CO, there is a transaction commit (oapagecontext.getApplicationModule(oawebbean).getTransaction().commit();).
Therefore, I assume that as my custom AM is a child of standard AM where the transaction is being commit, the child AM is sharing the same transaction/session and hence the EO being called.
I am running into issues with moving the validation to the EO as the validation requires visibility of the VO values to calculate a total value. Therefore is there a way to ensure that my custom AM maintains a separate database session/transaction to the parent/standard AM? Is it possible to break the parent/child relationship?
This way I assume that the commit issued by the parent page CO will not affect my custom AM/EO.
    Cheers.
    Jon.

  • How can I forward email with embedded photos?

How can I forward email with embedded photos so that the recipient gets them that way instead of all the text followed by all the photos?

    Hello,
Thanks (or merci beaucoup).  I am using Mail version 5.2 (1278) that came with the iMac (Mac OS X 10.7.4).  When I forward the email to myself at my "me.com" email address from my "cox.net" email address, the photos come out as attachments even though they were embedded when I received the email on my cox.net email.   What setting(s) can I make to have it get to me.com the way it was in cox.net, i.e. embedded instead of as attachments?

  • Sending email with attachment (image)

Is there any way or workaround to send emails with attachments? The only way known to me is to use mailto but how to include attachment then? Has anyone tried to do that with native extensions on iOS?

Maybe someone experienced in ObjectiveC could support the community and write a native extension for sending email with attachments and post it here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/native-extensions-for-air.html

I've found out that you have to do it server side with php, but I have no idea how to begin with it.

Hmmm, Permissions are messed up somewhere!?
Can you open to pic say in Preview, select All, Copy, 7 Paste into Mail?

  • In forwarding emails w/embedded photos, etc, only blank box w/red "x" is sent

I used to be able to forward emails with photos, documents, etc. embedded in the email, just as it was sent to me. I am able to see it/them when it is sent to me, but when I forward it on to others the only thing that shows up in the email they receive is a blank box with a red "x" in it-recipient cannot see what's embedded in that box.

Sorry for the delay in following up.
I only use Gmail occasionally, so am not too familiar with potential issues in forwarding.
One thought: If you use any site-specific script blocking such as NoScript or K-9, make sure that you aren't blocking anything that could be associated with Gmail.

  • How do I forward an email with an image on it? It changes to a jpeg instead of leaving the picture in place. Ex. : gallery invites

When I receive an invitation from galleries etc. with an image on it and I want to forward it, the image converts to a jpeg or something else rather than leaving the invitation as I received it. Is there any way that I can forward something with an image on it exactly as I receive it? If you send me an email address I will try and forward something to you. I promise I will never use it again
