Emails with no sender or message

getting alot of emails with no message. just date and time. roadrunner says it is a spam issue. not sure how to fix this problem. I am getting regular emails that I can read. But most of my emails are blank. What should I do?

Everything has a path. So with the message open go to View in the menu and select Message>Long Headers. That should show you the entire path of the email from start to finish. Forward that on to your ISP for them to initiate action.

I have two questions regarding sending resp. sending mails from / to XI.
A) is it possible to attach several files as attachment to mails sent via the mail adapter?
Note: I do not want to send the message payload itself as attachment, but send an email with contents from the message payload and attach to this mail one or several files located at the disk as attachment?
If , yes how can I achieve this.
B) What happens with attached files, when the mail is sent to the XI mail adapter?

What to do about email with no sender?

I get email with no sender on my iPad only (not on my computer and not in webmail). There is no sender or no message, and it is dated 12/31/69. It will not delete. My ipad inbox is filled with this stuff now and I don't know what to do about it. I get 2 or 3 a day. Another post that I googled said they also had this but that it would delete. Mine will not, and this is getting to be a major problem.
I don't think I can set up a rule on the iPad to stop it. And, any rule that I set up on my iMac does not carry over to the iPad.

Using the 10W USB power adapter, I can recharge my iPad's battery from 0% to 100% in just under 4 hours.

Icloud receiving emails with NO Sender, No Subject

Over the last few weeks my iCloud account has been displaying lots of messages with No Sender, No Subject in the header. The majority of these are automated email services like reservation acknowledgements etc. It is effecting all my devices that use iCloud.
The same emails sent to my BT account and accessed by the same devices are fine.

I have logged on to iCloud direct via vrowser and the messages are wrong on there. Below is an example of a message content:-

Whenever i try email with iPhoto i get message pop-up saying the sever didn't recognise your username/password combination.

Are you sending from your iCloud Mail address? And do you have two-step verification enabled?
If you had two-step verification enabled, you have to set up an app-specific password for iPhoto, if you want to use iPhoto as a Mail client.

This solution is for those of you using 2-step verification for your Apple ID and are using iCloud as the mail server that you are trying to mail photos with.
I too had this issue. The problem in my case occurred because I had setup 2-step authentication for my Apple ID. If you have done this then you will get the error message "the mail server did not recognize your email/password...". To solve the problem go to:
https://appleid.apple.com
Click "Manage Your Apple ID"
Verify your identity with the device you selected (if this step does not show up then you have not likely set up 2-step authentication and this is not your solution)
Click Password and Security in the left column
Click Generate an app-specific password
Enter iPhoto as the name of the app
Copy the password and paste this into the password box in iPhoto where you would normally enter your apple ID (in the mail account section in iPhoto preferences).
And...voila' (I hope)

How can I set my default email address when sending new messages

I have 2 accounts in my Mail Preferences, hotmail and gmail. I have tried to set it so when I send a message to a new recipient it is my gmail one that is used as default. However, it is thehotmail account that is always ticked first.
I would like to set my mail preferences so the gmail is my default first choice in sending new messages and is ticked as my default email address.

Have you gone to Mail>Preferences...>Composing>Addressing:> and selected "Send new messages from:" your preferred account?

How to block emails with specific sender name?

I find some of the spam emails has a common sender name, but the sender email address is random. How to create an Outlook rule to block such emails? It seems Outlook rule can only blocks emails based on sender email address, not the sender name.
Also is it possible to block emails based on its language, for example, I want to block all emails in Russian.

CIDX Adapter: HTTPS communication with certificates- Send of message failed

As per a requirement, I have configured CIDX Receiver adapter so as to send a message to a URL. But unable to send a message and in the audit log of message monitoring it has run into error as given below:

For your information:
1. I have got certificates loaded into the environment.
2. When I use a different adapter like file adapter, for the same configuration, I am able to send the message to the destination.

Email not getting send: Error message 'No delivery to external email id

Hi All,
Whenever i am trying to send mail to external address from Business Workplace (Tcode: SBWP), it initially sets the status of the mail as waiting with message 'Will be sent after server date:server time'. But after 6 hours, its status changes to error with message 'No delivery to <external email id>.
When i checked in error log (in SOST), it displays the following messages:
1. Document sent
2. Wait for Communications service
3. No delivery to <external email id> (after 6 hours from Document sent/Wait for communications service time)
Please suggest me how to resolve this issue.

Extremely sorry for the late reply.
I asked the BASIS team to fix the issue.. and i think they did some configuration as a result of which i am not getting any error msg now while sending email.
I guess you also need to check with your BASIS team to fix this issue.

Printed emails with skipped lines in message

Printed page has a blank space down the length of a line when printing an email. This happens on the 2nd or 3rd line of th message and ocurrs evry 4-6 lines there after. Unt is about 3 years old and worked prefectly withou any problem until now.

Email with attachment sends but Recipient does not always receive email

Email sends with 1.7 MB pdf attachment but Recipient does not always receive, not consistent.

My question, which I thought was obvious, was has Apple got a workaround for this obvious error in their IOS email client. It hasn't been fixed and it's about time it was.
The fact that this problem :-
1. Manifests itself on both iPhone and iPad devices
2. Does not show up on Windows clients (Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010, Windows Live Mail, Becky 2)
3. Does not show up on web clients (GMail, Pobox, Hotmail)
4. Does not show up on MacOS clients
5. Does not show up on Android clients (Mail, Touchdown)
Leads to the inevitable conclusion that the problem is not device related (so I agree with you there) but is client / platform (Mail or IOS) related. The fact that more research on this forum shows that this issue has been around since IOS 1.0 days corroborates this conclusion.
I do not agree with you presumption that the issue is with the message, all the evidence above refutes this.
So here I am on the official Apple discussion forum seeking enlightenment and assistance from the combined knowledge of the assembled technorati. And quite frankly your terse, bad tempered message falls way short. If there were an "unhelpful answer" button on your message I would have pushed it.

Possible to do? Write EMAIL with DELAYED sending time?

In other words, I write an email now and have it send at 9:00AM so the user gets it a 9:00AM and it looks like I sent it at 9:00AM.

So no way to write an email, then set the time for delivery.
e.g. I write something at night and want it delivered (emailed) at 9:30AM?
I know you can do that via phone text, you would think this would be an easy script to write perhaps?

Sent emails won't send!

Does anyone know if there is an issue in having too many emails overall (including sizable attachments) in the mail app, even though they are not in my Inboxes or other folders within Mail? For example, I periodically take out maybe 6 months of emails at a time from my InBox and Sent boxes, and put them in storage folders within the Mail program (in the "ON MY MAC" folders). Is there a size issue in the Mail app that would affect my outgoing mail, even though the emails are in a separate folder (but still in the Mail app)?

Some mail servers have a size limit per folder. So lets say your size limit was 2GB per folder, and your sent items was full. When you go to send an email, it might send the message OK, but the email will stay in the outbox, because it cannot be moved to the sent items folder because of the 2gb limit.
You should check with your mail admin and ask what the limits are.
