    Where you say -- "although I can send email"
    And finally where you say -- "my outgoing emails will NOT send - instead they stay in the outbox"

  • N8 aol email wont send an email

    Hi i've got the nokia n8 updated to the anna software and my email has decided to change settings and now i carnt send emails, before i could change the settings for sending and recieving account settings, now all i can do in account settings is put in the email address and password and a signature. I dont no if it is because of this my email wont send anymore but its really annoying,
    I can recieve the emails fine, and even write them but when it says its sending it simply puts them in the outbox and doesnt send them.
    I've reset the phone to factory settings and by holding the off button for 8 sec to get the 3 vibration thing and still nothing, and even many times deleted the account and set it back up
    would much appreciate it if anyone has any ideas.

    So you are saying that if you go to Menu > Applications > Mail > scroll down to Settings > select Mailbox > Mailbox settings - you can't access "Advanced mailbox settings" at bottom of screen?

    i can't send emails. they are saving to my outbox and just won't send i keep getting this msg when i try

    Looks like your outbound (sending) mail connection is pointed to Hotmail's POP3 server (for you to read mail) instead of their SMTP server (for you to send mail).
    You should be fetching mail from pop3.live.com and sending it to smtp.live.com. See

    You can change this, but the setting is buried a few levels down.
    1. Go to Mail > Preferences... > Accounts > {yourhotmailacct} > Account Information > Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
    2. Pull down to Edit SMTP Server List...
    3. Select the server line that says pop3.live.com
    4. Select the Account Information tab.
    5. Change Server Name to smtp.live.com.
    You may also need to adjust settimgs in the Advanced tab to match the above while you are there.

    The other day i was trying to purchase a song from itunes. I had recently gotten a new ipod and itunes asked me to enter my security questions before i could buy the song. I had forgotten them and went to the apple support website and tried several times to send a security reset email to myself. The email still wont send and i know it has already been a verified email. Dx please help ;'(

    What should i do if the email wont show up in my inbox? Is their another way i can have it send the recovery info to a second email?

    If it's not in a spam filter, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
    They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • Gmail email wont send

    My gmail email was working like a charm today and then all the sudden it won't send out email.  After searching the internet I found others with a similar problem.  I have two gmails and an aol email on my account and this is only effecting one gmail account.  When trying to send out an email I get the following message.  Unable to Send Email,   A copy has been placed in your Outbox.  The recipient (it list my email that I am attempting to send from) was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying.  Here is what I have done trying to trouble shoot the problem
    1. I deleted the Gamil account and readded it.  My inbox popped up fine but still could not send.
    2. I updated my software to the newest available.  Still did not work.  Deleted and readded again.  Still nothing
    3. Checked the settings on my gmail account that works.  They are identical aside from password and user name.
    4. I went into settings and went to adjust my primary outgoing servers info under the account affected.  However it will not let me edit here.  When looking at it it shows the username blank just like the other gmail account that works.
    Any help would be appreciated.  This is very frustrating since this is a primary means of communication for business.  I am using an iPhone 5 64gb running the latest software.  And the affected account works fine sending from a computer and android device.

    This isn't an issue with your iphone or Apple but with Gmail.
    Your post is 7 or 8 already this morning.
    Go look at the front page of this forum and you'll see other users are experiencing the same issue with Gmail.

    I am trying to send an email and it keeps coming back "cannot send message using the server smtp.live.com:[email protected]  It also says "connections to the server "smtp.live.com" on the default ports timed out
    All the settings are correct as they are the same on my phone and that seems to be working. 
    Any ideas?????????

    Hello:
    Unchecking SSL (secure socket links) almost certainly has nothing to do with your problem.
    If I were you, I would delete the account, restart, and then set up your ISP mail account again.

    Yes, you missed the fact that Mail has NEVER worked the way you describe. OS X is not iOS. There is absolutely no reason not to have Mail running all the time on your machine. I have Mail set to open at login and it stays open all the time. I never quit it. When an email comes in the Mail icon on the dock will reflect that by incrementing a little red number. This is how Mail has always worked. You need to have it open to receive emails.

    Until you can enter that password it kept asking for, you won't be able to send mail. You need to go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Email Account you are referring to>SMTP server, and make changes there. If you cannot remember your email password, you will have to get in touch with your provider to be able to change it.

    I really hope someone can help me.
    I can reply to emails but I cannot seem to send an emal from scratch. Im not sure what happened but the send option just doesnt come up anymore, I can only save as draft. And once saved it will not send either.
    Please help. This is so frustrating. I dont want to reset my phone.

    since yesterday i cannot send any emails via outlook 2007.
    error message for default email address i get is
    sending' reported error (0x800CCC61) your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server has reported an internal error. if you continue to receive this message, contact your service administrator or internet service provider (ISP).the server responded: 522 IP FOUND IN DNSBL (please check for ip address listing on common DNS RBL services)
    error message for other email address i get is

    I had this from this morning. I solved my problem... it was down to my spam filter - Peerblock - blocking the company providing the new mail service. once i allowed Critical path inc ,after finding this on a google search,
    During the summer the BT Yahoo!  portal will close, but existing customers will still be able to access their BT Yahoo! Mail account by clicking on a link from BT.com. Later in the year, existing customers will be moved to BT Mail. Your inbox, including all your folders, will be moved over and you will keep the same email address, although you may be prompted to change your password.
     BT has chosen a company called Critical Path to provide the BT Mail new email service.

    Which kind of account are using? It is just happen when you are at Starbucks, isn't? If not:
    If you are using a business account (for example [email protected]) you must set POP account info properly, filling all the blank fields (name, email address, description, password, Host Name, user's name, SMTP). Just one field blanked causes error in sending/receiving.
    If you are using a default account (iCloud, Yahoo!, Hotmail...), fill all the blank fields (Name, Email account, Password, Description) and sign in.
    If not works, delete the account and sign in again
