Embed a Prezi Presentation into Keynote

Hey there.
I want to embed an offline Prezi presentation into Keynote. Are there any plug-ins available/on the horizon for this?
I read about the work-around, but I don't want my clients to run the risk of something going wrong and the presentation not working properly. That's the reason I love Keynote, one file and everything works.
Hope you guys can help.
THanks!

There is a way to make it work, it's requires a bit of work though!
Step 1:
Record the Prezi presentation using a screenrecording program (such as iShowU). Just keep pressing the arrow to go to the next slide but leave it at each slide for a couple of seconds. This way each slide will be visible for a couple of seconds before it changes to the next.
Step 2:
Upload your recording to YouTube.com
Step 3:
Download the YouTube video so you can import it into Keynote.
Step 4:
If your Prezi slide has 10 different slides, make 10 slides in Keynote. Import the YouTube video to each slide.
Step 5:
Now comes the tricky part...
Go to the first slide of your Keynote presentation and let the Prezi video play. Write down the time it starts and when the first full slide is visible. Then use Inspector (in Keynote) to let the video play from the time the Prezi video starts until the full slide is visible. This way the video will only play from the start until the full Prezi slide is visible in the video.
Step 6:
Now go to the second slide in Keynote and use Inspector to have to Prezi video start at the same time the Prezi video in the first Keynote slide stops. Let the video play until the second slide is fully visible and then use Inspector to have the video stop at that precise time.
Step 7:
Do the same for Keynote slide number 3; Use Inspector to start the video at the same time the video stopped playing in the previous Keynote slide, and let it play until the full slide is visible.
Example:
Keynote slide 1
The downloaded Prezi video from YouTube plays from 0:00 to 0:20
Keynote slide 2
The downloaded Prezi from YouTube video plays from 0:20 to 0:50
Keynote slide 3
The downloaded Prezi from YouTube video plays from 0:50 to 1:20
All you have to do in Keynote, is make sure the transitions between slides are as fast as possible so you don't see the transition between slides and make sure the video starts playing when you go to the next Keynote slide.
If you've done it correctly, you will start with the first Keynote slide showing the first transition of the Prezi video. Take all the time you want to talk and when you're done, just go to the next Keynote slide. The video will begin to play, showing you the cool effects you can use in Prezi, and when the full slide is visible, you can start talking. Done talking? Go to the next Keynote slide and the video will start to play....  etc etc etc!
Hope this helps!!

  • How to embed a YouTube video in keynote on ipad2

I am new to using keynote on the ipad2 and wanted to know the steps, if there are any, to embed a YouTube video into keynote.  Any suggestions?

Yes, and if that presents any problems, you do have the You Tube application already installed on iPad.  It is a native application and you can watch any You Tube video through this app.
Safari is a great webrowser.  But if you want to wach any videos on iPad, find the App in the App store and you won't have any issues.  For example, you could be on CNN.com through Safari and if you try to click on a video, you likely won't be able to watch it.  But, if you download the CNN app from teh App Store, you'll be able to watch all CNN videos through the App.  It is a really logical and safe way to see what you want to see.

  • Can i embed a weather into keynote

I am trying to producing a looping presentation for a waiting room.  I was hoping to embed local weather and news into it, but I cannot find a way to do so.  Is it possible with Keynote?

Unfortunately, the current version of Keynote has removed the ability to embed URLs and provide updated views of web pages. This was possible in earlier versions of Keynote.
However, if you know of someone with Keynote '08 installed, there is a way to make a Keynote presentation with an embedded and updateable URL that you can save (in Keynote '08)  and copy to make a working Keynote presentation with embedded URLs in Keynote '09
With Keynote '08 create a Keynote Presentation with one slide. On that slide place an object and with the object selected > Inspector > Hyperlink > Enable as a Hyperlink (checked) > Link to: Webpage > URL : (paste the URL you want) > Update Automatically (checked) > Click Update Now. Save with Keynote '08.
(Your web page will appear - REMEMBER: This only works with Keynote '08 or earlier versions)
When you SAVE your presentation, give it a name that reminds you not to save it again and make copies of this presentation to make your Keynote presentation using Keynote '09 - Do NOT delete the object with the URL, just change the URL in the Inspector.
This does work, but if you overwrite the original by saving again with the same name, you will have to create a new "Master" from scratch as Keynote '09 will overwrite the inspector page for Hyperlinks to the new version. IF everything worked right, the object with the URL will have a slightly different looking Hyperlink Inspector (see attached).
If you'd like to see this feature return to Keynote, let the good folks at Apple know

    Good Luck

Open the pp presentation in Keynote +(right click and under Open with, select Keynote)+. Then you can drag the Thumbnails from one to the other.

  • Import keynote presentation into iWeb?

I was thinking about adding a keynote presentation onto my web page as a slide show. Is this possible?
    Thanks!

You CAN add a Keynote presentation into iWeb (exported as a QuickTime movie), you just have to be aware of some minor issues. One of the issues you'll run into you can see on this page.

Depending on the speed of your connection, if it starts playing early, it will do the first slide over and over until the full thing has been downloaded. Give it a try and post back here or in the Keynote discussions if you have any problems.

You do it sort of like the way you arrange your apps on the iPad and how you drag apps into groups. You do the same technic with your Keynote slides.

  • Translating Pages document into Keynote presentation

    Hello,
I have been creating a design portfolio as a pages document. A keynote version of some of the completed pages has been made by taking a screenshot and then pasting the images into Keynote. I have also attempted to find a export or conversion command that would take this document from it's Pages format into Keynote with no success.
It would also be nice to be able to select multiple pages (thumbnails) and play them as a slideshow right from Pages (you can do this by selecting multiple picture files with Preview). Is there a way to go from Pages to Keynote without the screenshot technique?
    Regards

    Tulse,
Thanks for the quick response. I have saved the document as a PDF and will try the page by page approach.

  • How do I embed a YouTube Video in Keynote 6.5?

Hi!  Used to be that we could embed a link into Keynote to play during the slideshow; I'm not seeing how to do that now. Help! Please!  It looks like the Keynote just wants the videos to live on board the computer, you just click Media and bring it in...
    Thoughts?  Thanks everyone!

Hi ViddyYo! I don't recall ever being able to embed videos in Keynote - but you certainly can not embed videos within a presentation now.
You will have to download the video from the video hosting site and place it as a movie within the Keynote.
If you own the rights, I would suggest using a website like www.keepvid.com to make it happen.

  • Live video from isight embedded into keynote slide

I have been trying to figure out how to embed live video from my isight camera into keynote. I have tried creating a stream from quicktime broadcaster and import the .sbp file into keynote, but it will not except the stream file. I did not know if there was another way to do it besides the stream or if perhaps I could use another program to help input the video.
My ultimate goal is to be able to present slides and have a live video from my isight during the slideshow on one of the slides. I guess if there is some other way to get both the slideshow presentation and video on the presentation screen without any program headings, in a clean fashion, that would be acceptable too; even if a different program was handling the video and it wasn't technically embedded.

Cool, I can see me using this - need to properly test with http://b-l-a-c-k-o-p.com/CamCamX.html#upgrade
this allows you to choose video sources to play - so i'm betting it will allow video cameras to be used - so it ought to be possible to do live demos/illustrate slides with 3d objects etc ... cool - suspect voice syncing still might be an issue. And KN record doesn't work properly if you have a live movie - it just shows the camera content that's live ... (if you follow me...)
PS Almost forgot - it will do one of the things I was so desperate to achieve: It would allow you to have a window on the screen with a live feed of a signer for those who use BSL and other sign languages - that's really important. And if you needed to you could use two projectors (see other thread on multiple screens) and put the signer on a nicely designed screen all of their own. WOW!!!

OIh by the way, the .swf is a scripted flash file. I have tried multiple converters, but no success yet...
