I'm trying to embed a story i did on espn.com onto my iweb website. They have a thing on it that says share then gives you all the codes to embed (see below) but then when I click on the widget HTML widget it doesnt work. Help!
<object width="384" height="216" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" id="ESPN_VIDEO" data="http://espn.go.com/videohub/player/embed.swf" allowScriptAccess="always" allowNetworking="all"><param name="movie" value="http://espn.go.com/videohub/player/embed.swf" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"/><param name="wmode" value="opaque"/><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"/><param name="allowNetworking" value="all"/><param name="flashVars" value="id=5768918"/></object>
I tried it and it worked.
When you paste in in make sure you click the "apply" button on the lower right.
I got some sort of flash error pop-up, but went ahead and published it and it worked when viewed in the site.

Why can't I transfer video from iphoto onto an external HD?
Can anyone tell me why I cannot transfer my iphoto video onto an external hard drive from imovie? Basically I am trying to transfer all my video from imovie onto an external hard drive to clear up space, but I cannot seem to find a way to do the video under iphoto. It let's me transfer all other video, but not the video under iphoto.
Have you tried the Export function in iPhoto? Since there is one with choices including Quicktime, I would guess that it has to be rendered first. So, you could try that and save it to your desktop and then copy it over (or, if available, directly to the external).

While on a YouTube page, right click the ABP icon and "open blockable items".
When the window opens at the bottom of the page, right click this line: http://s.ytimg.com/yt/swfbin/watch_as3-vfl9DouAr.swf (or some variation) , then "Disable Filter". -

Transferring photos and videos from iphone onto macbook
Hi
This may sound like a completely basic issue but i can't for the life of me work out how to transfer photos and videos onto my macbook. I can easily put them on iphoto but i don't really want to put them there as i keep all my photos under the normal photos folder. When I plug it in it just opens iphoto though and doesn't give me the option to put them anywhere else. When i used to have a windows pc and plugged my phone in it asked me if i wanted to open and view files, then you would just drag them into whatever folder on your pc you wanted them in. But there doesn't seem to be a similar system on the mac. does anyone have any ideas? it's probably something very simple but i just can't work it out. With a Mac, you can use iPhoto for importing photos from any digital camera including importing photos and videos from the iPhone's Camera Roll and if you use iPhoto for photo storage and management, which sure makes it easier than doing this the Windows way and manually managing photo storage - manually creating folders for select photos, etc., or you can use the Image Capture application for this which is located in your Applications folder.
iPhoto includes an option via iPhoto preferences to launch automatically when any digital camera is connected and the Image Capture application should include the same. -
Embed streaming video from FlashMedia Server 2 in a Captivate Course
I am trying to add streaming video from FlashMedia Server 2
Developer Edition in a Captivate 3.0 course. The streaming server
is working fine and I can stream video from a Flash 8.0 file. The
problem seems to be in Captivate 3.0 because the video will not
display in a Captivate swf file. The html and swf file resides on
the web server therefore it cannot not be a security issue. When I
try to play the Captivate file; it does make connection to the
media server however the flv file will not stream. The Bytes
Out(Bytes to the client) number stops incrementing after a 1,000
bytes. Once you close the browser then the connection to the media
server is lost. However if I insert a .fla file from Flash
8.0(which will connect to the streaming server and play) and
publish it in the Captivate project; It will connect to the server
and playback the audio but not the video. I turned on and off
hardware acceleration on my video card thinking that was the
problem. I would appreciate any help on this. Once I get this to
work I can justify purchasing the full version of the Flash Media
Server.I think this isn't really an InDesign issue at all. It sounds like an Acrobat issue.
First, you haven't said what version of Acrobat you're using. I'm assuming Acrobat X Pro?
I've used this with a friend's Flash Media Server so I know it works. What version of Flash server do you have installed?
I the link you provide I see a spaceband after the word "test" in the path. Could that be a problem?
Other than that, it appears that you're following the requirements listed in the Help file for Acrobat X Pro.
If you have further problems, you might post this on the Acrobat User Forum. -
Putting video from TV onto iPod
I want to record live TV and put it on my computer so I can then put it on my iPod.
What can I do to record live TV and what do I need to buy to put it on to my computer? For starters, it is outside of the scope of this discussion forum to be able to tell you how to record live television. As much as I can say to that you may be able to find some third-party software which will link between your television and PC or use an existing PC/TV tuner card to capture video. Again, it is simply outside of the scope of discussion.
However, I can tell you about the next step after you figure out how to get video from your television to your computer. You will need the following items: a fifth generation iPod, a high-powered USB port (USB 2.0 recommended), iTunes 6 or later to transfer video to the Fifth Generation iPod, and lastly, video content that is in an iPod compatible format I believe you can use Quicktime Pro 7 or above to 'convert' the video into an iPOD-usable format.
Now as for what type of video content should play on your iPOD here are some suggestions for use: video content purchased from the iTunes Music Store, videos that have been converted for iPod with QuickTime 7 Pro using the Creating Video for iPod tutorial, and videos that have been converted for iPod with iMovie, Final Cut Pro, and others.
Below are some additional and helpful video-related guidelines and formats that the Fifth Generation iPOD should be able to play:
H.264
File formats: .m4v, .mp4, and .mov
Video: Up to 768 kbits/sec, 320 x 240, 30 frames per second (fps), Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3.
Audio: AAC-LC up to 160 kbits/sec, 48 Khz, and stereo audio.
MPEG-4
File formats: .m4v, .mp4, and .mov
Video: Up to 2.5 Mbits/sec, 480 x 480, 30 fps, Simple Profile.
Audio: AAC-LC up to 160 kbits/sec, 48 Khz, stereo audio.
I want to record live TV and put it on my computer so
I can then put it on my iPod.

Failure to embed Mp4 video [From hard disk and host]
Hi guys,
Im Terra - new here and learning DW even more everyday...
But I've come stuck the last few hours, so I could do with a little assitance, thanks in advance...
I've been trying to insert an mp4 file into a div; which is successful. But when I try to preview play it in DW, I get the error code: "Unable to find the plugin that handles this media type. DW looks both in the "Config/plugins" folder, and the plugins folder of each of your browsers." ...When I also try and preview in FF, inside the div, it says "need additional plugins to play" so I continue and let FF look for plugins, FF finds none.
What I ideally like to do, is host the video file from photobucket. Now, I can do this with a simple embed code, but when played from a browser it's played in the default photobucket player which is bundled with a watermark and offering up relative videos at the end, which I would prefer not to see.
Cheers
TerraPin.Have you properly defined your local site?

Do you have QuickTime media player and plug-ins installed on your system?

Are you trying to test from DW or saving file and previewing in browser?

Importing and editing video from DSLRs onto iPad 2
Hi,
I'm reading that it's not possible to import video direct from a DSLR (Nikon D7000 or Olympus Pen, for example) onto the iPad 2, and edit, then export.
Is this the case?
I'd like to be able to work remotely, taking stills and video (with audio) that I can then edit on the iPad and upload.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers!

How do I get songs and video from iTunes onto my PSP?
I would to know the step-by-step method to getting my iTunes content: music, podcast {Video} onto my PSP. I just purchased a 2GbMemory Stick Pro card. Are there any sites dedicated to Mac & PSP?
As always thanks in advance for reading and replying to my Post.
SebastianYou won't be able to play current protected videos and audio on your PSP. If you're talking about items not purchased from the iTunes Store, normal mp3s should work just by putting them in the music folder of your PSP, no? Video will need to be converted:

There's a lot more stuff. Just do a search for psp on www.versiontracker.com.

How to embed F4V video from Captivate 5 on a Website?
We are looking to embed an F4V video generated from Captivate 5 on our website. Are there any example code snippets or steps for loading the video embedded in a new browser window? If a launcher is needed, does Adobe have one?
Thanks!
AmandaHi Amanda
I believe in order to do this you will also need to acquire a presentation mechanism such as FlowPlayer.
