Embed digital signature on barcode

Would you suggest me on how to embed the digital signature on barcode in pdf. I'm using Adobe professional environment 8.1
Welcome for immediate suggestions.

Once the PDF is converted to TIFF, the digitial signature is destroyed, and all information in the signature is lost.  You would need to get the information from the signature prior to converting to TIFF and "save" it somehow. The signature information will not be included in\with the TIFF file unless you could add the bits of signature information (i.e. signer name, signature status, etc) you needed to the metadata of the TIFF file, but remember, the original dig sig is still destroyed.  By the way, I don't know how you could this.

  • Digital Signature tool to Embed Approver signature on PDF Original Files

    Hi,
    Good Day...!
    We have implemented SAP DMS and configured workflow for DMS. When it reaches certain status workflow will be triggered and send workitem to the Approver. If approver can approve or reject based on his review on the original document. If he approves DIR will directly go to released status. Once Approver approves Digital signature has to popup and it has to embed approvers signature on the Original file.
    Is there any third party tools available in the market or can any body provide some inputs how to achieve.
    Please share your experience, if anybody has implemented the same.
    All original files we are using will be in PDF format.
    Note: Our requirement is Approver's signature has to embed on to the Original file when he approves the document.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Prasad.

    Hi,
    Please find details on digital signature in DMS
    Prerequisite
    1)You must have Authorization object {}C_SIGN_BGR to be set (ask basis team to do the same) for the digital signature.
    2)Following  are the authorization object for Documents (If you have all access to the authorization object will be very good, mainly a & b must).
    a) C_DRAW_TCD
    b) C_DRAW_TCS
    c) C_DRAW_STA
    d) C_DRAW_BGR
    e) C_DRAW_DOK
    f) C_DRAD_OBJ
    How to config for Digital Signature in DMS
    The required settings are made under
           a)Document Management ->Approval?->Define individual Signature .
           b)Document Management ->Approval?->Define Signature strategy .
    2.   Assign a signature strategy to the document status .
    3.   Also the required settings are made in customizing under
          Document Management - Control data - Define Document Types (DC10) - Define document status.
         Assign a signature strategy to the document status (As per point no.1 in sign start).
    4.  Save the changes.
    5.  Create DIR
    6.  In DIR once the Document status is set for required digital signature, the system informs you that a digital signature is required. Yellow warning will come, enter two times.
    7.  The Digital Signature dialog box appears. Enter your comment in the text field. Select the individual signature that is assigned to your authorization group in the Signatures to be              executed section and enter the password .Then save it again.6) you can see this digital signaure again, in cv03n, go to top menu Environment --> digital signature.  You will get all the details.
    Thus the Digital signature process has been completed.
    With help of Transaction code SU01 ,in user tab enter your user name and press F7 check first and last name if it is correct its well and good or else go to change mode and enter correct one, save it.Because while making digital signature using user ID and password it is must or else it will give an error.
    Additionally check the help link for more details.

  • Embedding Documents and Adding Digital Signatures

    I have the following two questions regarding Adobe Acrobat XI pdf fillable forms that I can't find in the manual:
    Embed supporting documentation and/or copy and paste information within the form
    Allow digital signatures to be saved within the electronic version of the form
    I would appreciate any feedback available.
    Thanks!

    Use the Acrobat forum.

  • Risks associated with digital signatures

    We are looking to develop a process to use digital signatures on PDF documents, send them via email to a line manager, who adds his digital signature as a "stamp of approval" who then emails them to a specific department for processing. Are there any risks associated with using digital signatures in adobe, and general best practices for their usage, or best practices to mitigate the risks associated with them.

    If you procure and use commercially-issued credentials (not self-signed), digital signatures are much safer than any other signatures.
    1. They tell you whether the signed document has been altered. The document's author may specify which alterations (like form fill or signing) are acceptable. A digital signature tells you what kind of alterations in the document occurred after signing. In Acrobat you can always get the signed version before any alterations occurred.
    2. The digital signature tells you who the signer is (not only from the appearance but from the signing credential which is present in the signatures).
    3. The signing credential of a digital signature can be verified on-line that it has not been revoked and is still good. Acrobat has a feature to embed revocation information in the document, so that you can get verification that the signing credential was good at the signing time even if you do not have Internet access.
    4. In Acrobat the last signer can lock the signature, so that no other modifications of the document are allowed.
    So, there are many advantages to using digital signatures. The only risk that you have is that a signing credential can be stolen if someone has an access to the computer or token where the credential is stored AND gets hold of the credential's password. Each credential is password protected, so you guard this password as you guard any other password. If you suspect that someone got hold of your credential and password you can always ask the credential's issuer to revoke this credential and to issue you a new one. In this case the only time span when someone may use your credential is the time lag between the time the credential was stolen and the time the issuer revoked it.

  • Jre hangs/freeze at digital signature dialog (oracle.forms.engine.Main)

    hi,
    we are using webforms (application server 11).
    when a client starts up a form in the browser the dialog for accepting the digital signature (oracle.forms.engine.Main) appears. in this dialog wether a button can be klicked nor the checkbox (always trust...) can be checked. still this dialog can be moved.
    what's the reason for that?
    we tried different jre versions (1.6 u12 - u20) and also patch 9553040 (jrefb-6u20-rev-b05-windows-i586.exe) doesn't work - the same problem appears.
    regards,
    matthias

    It does!
    I [read this paper|http://forms.pjc.bean.over-blog.com/ext/http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/pdf/SigningJint13.pdf] before, years ago the first time. It's from *2002* and refers to JInitiator. And I read this paper again. But I stopped around page 13, reading
    +"PROBLEMS WITH MULTIPLE SIGNING IDENTITIES+
    +There is currently a restriction within Oracle9i Forms. If a Forms application is+
    +started within JInitiator or the Sun Java Plug-in, which uses code signed with+
    +multiple certificates ... This restriction will be lifted in a later release of Forms ...."+
    Not one of my best ideas. Notice, Sun Plug-in is mentioned and +8 years+ might not be enough, obviously.
    Reason behind the "re-appearance" of the problem with forms 11g is that the forms jars (including webutil) are now signed with an VeriSign certificate what was not the case with 10g. Downloading jacob.jar by your own, you get an unsigned jar file. Signing this, as you were used in 10g leads to the second signing identity and the freezing problem.
    But let's see how we could solve the problem, for the moment, perhaps for the next 8 years. We
    . took solution path 2 out of the aove cited paper (Register Your Custom Signing Certificate Separately).
    . rename jacob.jar to jy_jacob.jar (we do not want to interfere with other forms application of other companies also using webutil)
    . add the registration applet code as described in the paper to jy_jacob.jar
    . sign jy_jacob.jar.
    . [to be on the save side we repeated these steps for all our jar files, necessary for the application]
    . rename webutiljpi.htm to webutiljpijy.htm
    . modify webutiljpijy.htm by adding applet registration section before webutil registration. This reads like
    <!-- Registration applet definition (start) -->
    <OBJECT classid="%jpi_classid%"
    codebase="%jpi_codebase%"
    WIDTH="0"
    HEIGHT="0"
    HSPACE="0"
    VSPACE="0">
    <PARAM NAME="TYPE" VALUE="%jpi_mimetype%">
    <PARAM NAME="CODEBASE" VALUE="%codebase%">
    <PARAM NAME="CODE" VALUE="com.joynit.forms.applet.RegisterCertificateApplet">
    <PARAM NAME="ARCHIVE" VALUE="%archive%,%webUtilArchive%" >
    <COMMENT>
    <EMBED SRC="" PLUGINSPAGE="%jpi_download_page%"
    TYPE="%jpi_mimetype%"
    java_codebase="%codebase%"
    java_code="com.joynit.forms.applet.RegisterCertificateApplet"
    java_archive="%archive%,%webUtilArchive%"
    WIDTH="1"
    HEIGHT="1"
    HSPACE="0"
    VSPACE="0"
    >
    <NOEMBED>
    </COMMENT>
    </NOEMBED></EMBED>
    </OBJECT>
    <!-- Registration applet definition (end) -->
    . modify formsweb.cfg so that webutiljpijy.htm and jy_jacob.jar are used (original settings as comments below)
    baseHTMLjpi=webutiljpijy.htm
    #baseHTMLjpi=webutiljpi.htm
    archive=frmall.jar,iText-5.0.3.jar,vzg_grafik.jar,vzg_images.jar,vzg_netz.jar,jy_pdfutil.jar
    #archive=frmall.jar
    WebUtilArchive=frmwebutil.jar,jy_jacob.jar
    #WebUtilArchive=frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar
    And then, after flushing the jar cache, success! No freezing. It was possible to confirm the certifcates and to start the application.
    Thnx to Mia Urman and the oracle forms communitiy on [http://oracleformsinfo.wordpress.com/] , who gave me the tip... There is another, easier solution.
    Never set one of the original oracle jar-Files on pole position (1st position) in one auf the archive parameters. This leads to hanging.
    Put one of your self-signed jar-Files in front and let the oracle jars follow. The forms application will start properly.
    It work with 3 different signing authorities, also. What makes hope for 4, and so on.

  • Auto-insert digital signature

    Using LCD 8.1
    Is it possible to generate a non-interactive form with a digital
    signature already in-place?
    We're generating invoices out of SAP and need to have a digital
    signature in place when we email the PDF to our vendor.
    The digital signature will always be the same and
    it should be fine to embed it in the form so it can be generated in a
    background process where we don't have access to a network drive.
    Could someone give some direction in how to do this?
    I'm familiar with putting the field on the screen & locking down
    values after the user clicks on it, but can't seem to figure out how
    to automatically insert it on form generation.
    Thanks a lot,
    Robert.

    The LiveCycle Digital Signatures ES module has the ability to add signature fields (add signature fields operation) to static PDF documents.

  • Digital Signature Integration with Oracle Application

    Hi
    We have a requirement of taking the digital Signature online from the different users and embedding into the report.
    This is required to avoid paper work of getting the signature and archiving those papers.
    Instead , we need to do that online.
    Please let me know how it can be done in Oracle Application
    Thanks

    Hi Hussein,
    Thanks for the reply.
    I will explain my requirement .
    This needs to be implemented in Warehouse.
    Requirement is
    Whenever the goods are shipped from warehouse to Stores, a report of items are taken and it is signed by the driver who transports those items.
    These are done by taking the printout manually and getting the signature manually.
    Because of this archiving becomes very difficult.
    We would like to get the drivers signature online and embed into the report.
    Thanks

  • Update on 10.6.8 fails due to digital signature on update is missing

    wanting to install the Parallels version 10 and it won't work on 10.6.8 version of my Mac OS so I learned how to go to the software update which indicates an update is available. When I go ahead and load the update it runs fine and then stops with a message that the Macbook Pro EFI Firmware Update can't be saved. It says the digital signature on the update is missing or invalid.
    I don't know if the digital signature is on my computer or the update? I would upgrade to a more recent version of the OS but don't know what will work.
    Can anyone help?
    Dan

    Parallels 10 isn't compatible with 10.6 according to the web site.
    Mac Requirements
    Hardware:
    A Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor (Core Solo and Core Duo processors are no longer supported)
    Minimum 2 GB of memory (4 GB of memory is recommended to run Windows 7 in a virtual machine or if your host OS is Lion)
    About 850 MB of disk space on the boot volume (Macintosh HD) for Parallels Desktop installation
    About 15 GB of disk space for each virtual machine
    Software:
    OS X Yosemite 10.10 or later
    OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 or later
    Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5 or later
    Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 or later
    Check that your computer is compatible with Mountain Lion/Mavericks/Yosemite.
    To check the model number hold down the option/alt key, go to the Apple menu and select System Information.
    MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) model number 5,1 or higher
    MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) model number 3,1 or higher
    Your Mac needs:
    OS X v10.6.8 or OS X Lion already installed
    2 GB or more of memory (More is better - 4 GB minimum seems to be the consensus)
    8 GB or more of available space
    Check to make sure your applications are compatible. PowerPC applications are no longer supported after 10.6.
    Application Compatibility
    Applications Compatibility (2)
    Do a backup before installing.
    If you can/do upgrade, I recommend you make a copy of the installer and move it out of your Applications folder. The installer self-destructs. The copy will keep you from having to download the installer again.  You can make a bootable USB stick to install using this free program.
    Bootable USB Flash Drive – Diskmaker X

    Note - Mavericks is no longer available.

  • Making Multiple Digital Signatures Read-only in Form (Acrobat 9)

    I have created a form which includes two (2) digital signature fields.  What needs to occur with the form is Person1 fills the form and then digitally signs it thereby making the form fields read-only .  Person2 then digitally signs the form which should make Person1's digital signature read-only.
    Here's what I've done:
    1) For the Person1 digital signature field, in Digital Signature Properties, under the Signed tab, I have selected Mark as read-only <all fields except these> and selected the Person2 digital signature field.
    2) For the Person2 digital signature field, in Digital Signature Properties, under the Signed tab, I have selected Mark as read-only <all fields> since once Person2 signs the form I do not want Person1 to be able to clear the digital signature and make changes to the form.
    Here's what actually occurs:
    Step 1 above works fine.  Once the signature is applied all the form fields are read-only except for the Person2 digital signature field.
    The problem is that after Person2 digitally signs the form, even though I selected all fields as read-only, Person1 can 'clear' their signature which leaves all the form fields available for editing and leaves Person2's digital signature still on the form.
    I honestly don't care about 'validating' signatures on this form since it's going to be printed but I cannot allow Person2's signature to remain on the form and allow Person1 to edit the form.

  • Digital Signature invalid when sign a PDF with instances

    This document contains:
    - Some required fields (text fields, data fields ecc...)

    Sign the document and the signature is valid.
    Now, instead, if I make the same but increase the instance of Subform, then sign, the signature is invalid...
    Can the problem is the different versions of Designer and Workbench?
    In past I got some problems, and sometime I resolved creating a new document and copying all the object of old form in new one... It's an ugly solution but it worked.
    But in this case don't resolve nothing.

  • My computer will not let me download because it says there is no digital signature I need this for a college course how can i download it?

    I am taking a web design class and my instructor wishes us all to use the same browser. She has provided a link in her syllabus and it does go to the download site for Firefox. However, as I am running the download my computer pops up with "there is no digital signature" and "this file is corrupt" and will not download it. What to do?

    Make sure that you do not run the file directly, but save the file to the Desktop and start the installation via a double-click.<br />
    You may need to unlock the file via the right-click context menu: Properties > Security

    I am able to create a digital signature in a pdf using iText.  Adobe Reader does not allow that digital signature to be signed.  Everything I have been reading suggests that I need to enabe Reader Usage Rights, but that requires using Adobe Pro.  I was hoping that I would only need Adobe Reader inorder to digitally sign the pdf, is that possible?

    Not without the required rights...
