Embed files not in memory?

Is it possible to embed files into flash projector that will
not be loaded into memory immediately after executing exe file?
I need it to copyprotect my CD-ROM. Idea - there will be 100
MB MP3-file inside flash projector. This MP3 will actually never be
played. I will make some unreadable sectors to CD-ROM in areas
where that MP3 resides.
Projector should play fine but it is not possible to copy the
whole exe file.

I need to reboot my Mac to get rid of these 'Ghost Folders'.
I had a look in the /volumes folder and saw ghost folders for each of the several
audio CDs that I had imported since the previous night's backup. I restarted and
they went away
I'm not sure you are describing the same issue. The "ghost folders" in /Volumes discussed here earlier are real folders - they do not have "alias" icons, they take up physical space on the boot HD, and they do not disappear on re-booting - they have to be manually deleted.
In order to be sure you are starting from a "clean" /Volumes folder, take a look there when no external volumes or shares are connected at all - all you should see there is a single alias icon to your startup HD.
I'm not aware of any particular issue regarding Snow Leopard that would make it more susceptible to the creation of extraneous real folders in /Volumes. That problem has been around for years, particularly when using cloning software, and in fact it led years ago to a special page on the Carbon Copy Cloner support forum on how to deal with "false clones." With regard to prevalence, my subjective impression is that I haven't noticed any great increase in people reporting this problem, but that's certainly not good evidence one way or the other. With regard to cause, it seems to happen most commonly when the target volume of a copy operation becomes functionally disconnected before the copying is complete. It apparently happens at other times also, however, for unknown reasons.

  • Photoshop CS2 Cannot read PNG files--"Not Enough Memory"

    Hi! I have a bit of a problem. I've scoured the interwebs for days but can't find a solution.
    My copy of PSCS2 was able to open PNGs in the past, but it just up and decided it doesn't want to anymore. I'm serious--I can't think of any major overhaul or anything I did to cause it, but now it won't read them correctly. It says there's "not enough memory," which doesn't really make sense, when I have a Macbook Pro and nothing running in the background. On top of that, the particular files I've been trying to open are barely 100kb. I've used canvases upwards of ten thousand square pixels in dimension with no problem.
    This is with any PNG file. It's not an "incorrect extension" problem, because I made these files and just need to reopen them to edit things.
    Here are some screenshots that show what's been happening; nothing exciting, but just in case someone notices something I don't:
    That's the picture I want to open.
    And that's what pops up.
    :/ I'm a little dumbfounded. Halp?

    Now, this is strange.
    I restarted my computer and now the message has changed--to a simple one, but albeit still confusing.
    Sigh.
    I didn't do anything but restart my computer.

  • Cannot open 705 MB tiff file - Not enough memory

    I have PS CS3 and am running a Dell precision workstation 690 with 4GB ram, 1.6GHz Xeon duo core processor, NVIDIA Quadoro FX 3450 video card. I have a tiff that is 705.4 MB and when I try to open it an error message pops up and reads: could not compelte your request because there is not enought memory (RAM).
    I have gone into preferences/performance and moved the memory usage up to 70%. Do I really need to purchase more RAM for the computer?

    John,
    Try closing all your other apps and see if that helps, or reboot and try it before opening anything else. Use Photoshop->File->Open instead of Bridge to eliminate that as a cause.
    Also, as Michael suggested, you need *lots* of empty disk space for Photoshop to open a file that large. I work with images that size a few time a year and have never had an issue, even when I had an old P4 with 2G RAM a couple of years ago. So your system should be up to the task. I've even worked (slowly) on 2GB images on the old P4 so your 4GB RAM is not the culprit. But I've always used an empty 2nd hard disk (my fastest drive) for Photoshop to use for its scratch disk.

  • When opening files "Not enough memory to load TIFF file."

    Mac just had a new build of OSX 10.6.8.
    Total memory 4gb of which over 3gb is free.
    Open any image gives a memory error "Not enough memory to load TIFF file"

    Open the linked tiff file(s) in photoshop, and resave with LZW Compression (OFF I Believe). I know you can place an lzw tiff adn usually works fine, but I believe i had this in the past and turned it off/chanegd the RLE settings and Illustrator was made happy. Also look for if the image is  photoshop >> image >> 8 bits/channel.

  • Opening PSD File - Not Enough Memory

    I created a sequence of images from Particle Illusion in a PSD format. When I open one of the images in Photoshop (CS3), it opens - no problem. When I try to open it in Illustrator CS3, I get the message "Not enough memory to place the file".

    On Windows XP 64, opening PSD files with Illustrator CS3 does not seem to work.
    What you can do to resolve this issue is to save the file as PNG in Photoshop. That can be opened in Illustrator and transprency is preserved.

  • Recovery EUL from EEX file - Not enough memory

    Hi,
    I have the following problem.
    I need to recover the EUL from a. EEx file.
    At the time of the import and 65 porcient, in step 3/4 an error "Not enough memory". and aborts
    The. Ex has a size of 2GB
    Anyone have idea why this happens?
    thank you very much

    Hello
    Your problem is exacltly as described, you are out of memory. Presumably you are logging in to Discoverer Admin and running the import from within the tool? Make sure you have no other applications open and make sure your machine has the maximum amount of memory installed as you can. If using XP you will need to make sure you have 4GB RAM, although XP can only address 3.5 GB.
    If this doesn't work then try doing the install from either the DOS command line or the Java command line. These have a much smaller footprint and I have known several instances where Discoverer Admin ran out of memory only for the command line to load it ok.
    Hope this helps
    Michael

  • Can't open file, not enough memory (RAM)

    This message pops up when I try to open certain files on Photoshop CS and it's ridiculous because I have loads of memory, and it previously opened much bigger files with no problem.  Sometimes it works if I close and open Photoshop and try again, but it isn't this time.  Please help...
    Thankyou

    I have discovered that the problem is that the TIFF files I am tying to open are 32 bit files.  There are several references on the Internet to Photoshop not being able to open these files   These are output files produced by the astro-imaging software Deep Sky Stacker.  Within DSS  I can save the 32 bit TIFFs  as 16 bit files which photoshop CS5 can open fine.
    Does anyone know whether Photoshop CS5 can open 32 bit tiff files at all?  Would it help if I could update my version of Photoshop (see update problem above)?

    Without knowing anything about your system, your image file, your working document and so on nobody can even begin to guess. The file could be damaged, there could be color management issues at play and what have you...

  • Server has not enough memory for operation (Some .rpt files not removing from Temp folder )

    We have web application developed in ASP.NET 4.0 ftramework and published on IIS. And we are using 13_0_8 version of CR.
    I am creating report files and exporting these as pdf. And I am disposing streams and report documents at the end. Initially, there wasn't any problem and temporary files which are created by CrystalReport were deleting all. But, now requests to the web application increeased to about 50.000 in a day and now some .rpt files are staying in Temp folder and I can't delete them. After recycling application pool all files are removed by IIS. Then, after 1 or 2 hours new .rpt files are creating in Temp folder. And after somewhile, application throws Server has not enough memory for operation. And, IMHO the reason is temp files. Here is the code I am using to export report as pdf.
    Questions:
    1. Is the reason of this exception is temp files in Temp folder?
    2. What is wrong in that code?
    ReportDocument report = DownloadPDF.GetReport(id);
       MemoryStream stream = (MemoryStream)report.ExportToStream(CrystalDecisions.Shared.ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat);
       Response.ContentType = "application/pdf";
       Response.AddHeader("content-disposition", "attachment; filename=" + id+ ".pdf");
      report.Close();
      report.Dispose();
       try
       Response.BinaryWrite(stream.ToArray());
       Response.End();
       catch (Exception)
       finally
      stream.Flush();
      stream.Close();
      stream.Dispose();

  • Cannot open a layered pdf file (64mb only) inside PS CS5 "not enough memory"

    Hi!
    I cannot seem to open a pdf file inside PS CS5, I also created the file some 3 months ago, saving all the phostoshop layers in it. But now I can't open it inside the photoshop to retrieve the layers as I will be doing some changes. Unfortunately, the original psd file is gone for good. When I try to open it, it alsways says "not enough memory", i try to increase the ram to 4g, play with scratch disk setting but still no success. Any ideas? I can send the pdf file over and see if it open up in your machine. Please take note that the pdf file displays perfectly on a reader.
    Please help. thanks

    What does it mean when you get a "The iTunes library file cannot be saved. There is not enought memory available." ? And what can I do to correct it?

    Well, I installed the latest iTunes this AM, works perfectly.  Although for some reason it did lock up after playing a song today.
    Horror stories?  That's a bit overly dramatic.
    No, it isn't.
    The issue you are experiencing is one that has occurred in multiple versions of iTunes, a simple search would have revealed this.
    A simple search was conducted, no one seemed to have an answer.  Do you always adopt such a haughty attitude?  Or was I just lucky.
