Embed Instagram feed

Hey! While browsing through Bon Appetit's magazine, I noticed they have a really nice Instagram feed appearing. It auto scrolls through the images while also showing each photo's caption. Just wondering if anyone knows how I can make a similar feature myself. Is there an html code anyonce can share with me or point me in the direction of the widget they've used?

Hi Mark,
Muse does not stops you from embedding any feature in your HTML code. To achieve this, you will have to embed your code in the Muse pages which you can do by using the Menu option Object->Insert HTML.
But at the same time we will not be able to help you with any such custom code that you might require to parse the feeds.

How to embed feeds in to a servlet/webpage

i am working on a stock market simulation. i am planning to have the feeds of the latest stock prices(live) and other info regarding the market on my web page for the users. how do i embed the feeds into the servlet . i am using servlets and html for developing the web page.

Embedding cam feed in web page

There have been a number of postings on this topic but here is a new thread.
Users (me included) have noted that it is possible to embed a feed as shown here:

This technique does however require Windows Media Player and many users have also noted that the feed may stop after an arbitrary period.

I have deliberately kept the code to a minimum to allow users to copy and paste to their own pages.
NOTE It is very important that you copy NetCamPlayerWeb11gv2.cab to the same folder that holds your web page. To obtain this file do the following.
Download the page above and accept the active content (you won't be able to if your security settings are set to 'High') The .cab file can then be found in your Temporary Internet Files folder.
Do not use a URL in the Codebase statement !! It may work on your machine but others will find it impossible to download the active content.

In response to an email enquiry.
If you have already downloaded the control and flushed your temporary internet files then the cab file won't be available.
In IE go to Tools - Manage Add-ons and remove the NetCamPlayerWeb11gv2 control.
Go to c:\windows\system32 and delete NetCamPlayerWeb11gv2.ocx
Reload http://www.fentyler.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/cam.htm and accept the Cisco-Linksys control when prompted.

IWeb RSS feed will not load with any site.

I am trying to display an simple RSS feed on my website and what ever site l use, BBC, France24, ABC, FOX News etc... whenever l copy and paste the RSS link in the widget and click apply. I am shown the message "The RSS feed source can't be reached. Try again."
Here is an example of how i'm inputing the RSS link:

How much should/can I use my iphone 5 in Europe?

I'm vacationing in Europe next month and will be visiting London, Paris and Rome. I've heard all the stories about people coming home to outragous phone bills. I've also heard some suggestions on how to reduce the possibility of this happening. I'm assuming that all of this still applies to the iPhone 5. I'm under the impression that this phone is considered a "world phone", but I realize that roaming is roaming.
I understand that while I'm out exploring the streets of Europe, I shouldn't be scrolling my Facebook or Instagram feeds or updating apps. I know I should only be doing these things while on wifi. I also plan on bringing my Macbook so I can check emails and upload photos, etc.., again, only while back at the hotel on wifi.
I'm just wondering what if I happen to be out and about and need to use Maps for directions? What if I need to call the hotel for something, or call a business for general information? Can I check yelp to see if a restaurant is any good, or will that cost me more than the meal itself? How about sending and iMessage to check in with a family member back home. If I get seperated from someone I'm traveling with, is it going to cost me an arm and a leg to call them to find out where they are? Will my phone even work?
I know that Verizon has an international calling plan, but I'm not sure if this is for a short term vacationer like myself, or for those that travel frequently.
Any advice will be appreciated!

Adding a new DIV file to my website in order to add instafeed.min.js

Hi all,
I am in the midst of a major upgrade/facelift to our website at http://mauiandsonsretail.com
I added quite a few new things but only modifying the previous .css, div and html code.
I was wondering, how can I add/create a new div to contain my instafeed on the top right corner, right under to the image of the shark fin of my site. (image below) with out disrupting other DIV. I know i am really new at and am hopeful that i will continue to learn thanks to all of your help!

here is my code that did produce our instagram feed but i had trouble controlling the vertical layout of it. It just produced a stream of images going downward pushing anything too far down.

Darwin Server Help

Hi Guys. I'm a complete newbie to Darwin, and have some really basic question to ask... whenever I download the program for mac, each time I want to launch, I have to reinstall, as it seems to make no difference to my target drive. I'm then rerouted to a web-based interface that I don't understand at all. can anyone offer any help?
I really only want to unicast to a Linux server which will then embed my feed in a pre-prepared page, but am not really a web guy, so any help at all would be much appreciated...

By no means. Port 80 is HTTP traffic, that is, web pages. There are many other TCP/IP ports in use across the Internet.
should I consider just running broadcaster, and Darwin Streaming on my MacPro, and then pointing the web browser over to it, instead of trying to run darwin on the server?
No. Broadcaster and DSS need to be on separate servers, and it's best if DSS is on a different server from your web server (and if you want to allow DSS to stream over HTTP Port 80, it must be on a separate server from your web server since they'd both be using port 80).
I think you're sort of working from both ends on this, and that's complicating matters. My suggestion would be to work to get Darwin Streaming Server working to serve pre-recorded material first. Then once that's working, you can work on getting Broadcaster to feed live material to DSS. The cookbook I reference above should help get Broadcaster working with DSS. I see I made a typo in the URL; try this one instead.
If that still doesn't point you in the right direction, you may need to contract with someone experienced in web streaming to assist in the intial setup. It's difficult to work through the entire process in a web forum. This sort of venue is better suited to answering specific questions, not providing a full backgrounder and step-by-step guide.

Crashing when uploading article

I have a DPS publication where I have already uploaded numerous articles with many features, but I have one article that feezes InDesign and I have to Force Quit.
The article in question features web content (An instagram feed) which appears to work through the desktop DPS viewer, but will not upload to the server.
It frezzes on this screen:
If I delete the web content box and attempt to upload with the rest of the page intact then it works, so it's definately the web content box thats causing the problem.
I am running the most up-to-date version of InDesign as well as the latest versions of DPS.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I would guess that your web content box is a local file, and your HTML files aren't contained in a subfolder. If you have your .html file in, say, the Desktop folder, DPS tries to upload the entire contents of the desktop and all its subfolders.

Not always legal, though if you need cyrillics (which is a pain as adobe webfonts have only three or four cyrillic fonts) it is a solution.
I would most likely embed wordpress to load some more external content anytime soon as i did it on another project, though i dont know how to do it from inside of edge and i would have to edit the files manually. (i would appreciate any links to tutorials)
Concerning the stability of the edge websites:
embedding of google maps (both old and new API) causes ios iphone/ipad safari and chrome to crash (ios6, ios7).
perhaps the nature of it is in huge iframes i am using. any ideas?

I have questions on making advanced preloaders with percentage bar. (i have seen zaxist's thread) but is there any walkthrough on embedding any javascript preloader like these:

Also, current preloader option available in edge replaces the white screen before loading composition, but everything that happens in composition ready is seen by website visitor and looks odd. Shall i use creationcomplete or anything else instead?

Embed social media feeds in DPS?

Is there a good overview or tutorial of how I can embed social media feeds into my DPS app? My organization has Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube accounts from which I would love to feature content feeds. I noticed Wired magazine has a page of just their social media (see screenshot) and I want to emulate something like that, but can't seem to find a good overview on how. Any tips would be appreciated!

This is done using HTML. So first you develop your HTML page and then you embed this into your InDesign page using a Web Content overlay option.
It's not always easy to make it work though. You can check out this article by James Lockman that shows you how to embed a Twitter feed:
