Embed PDF in webpage

Can anyone tell me how I can embed a pdf into a normal
webpage, and display it as a flip book, so users can click on the
corner of the page and turn it.

Based on your description, this can be accomplished in simple, lightweight HTML alone. It could be accomplished more efficiently using PHP and a database, if you have a lot of material to include. Some people would add javascript to the task. Some people would use big fat Flash to to this. But why would you even want to do this with PDF?
Acrobat is great, and you can do many things with PDF, but this is the wrong application for it.

Firefox 13 + Adobe Reader not showing embed PDF

Firefox 13 is not showig the embed PDFs in a Webpage until I change the tab or I open the PDF containing page in new tab or new page.
Most its happening after first time opening.

Word 2013 (Windows 7 64-bit) - Embed PDF as Icon Error

We have a process where we embed PDFs into a table in a Word document as an icon.
This worked for us in Word 2010, but as soon as we upgraded to Word 2013 we started getting an error message.
"The program used to create this object is Package. That program is either not installed on your computer or it is not responding. To edit this object, install Package or ensure that any dialog boxes in Package are closed."
Nothing has changed except uninstalling Office 2010 and installing Office 2013. Acrobat is still there(fully updated XI pro). Acrobat is not open when the attempt to embed is made.
I've tried altering every option I could find that might make this process work, but nothing does the trick. All software is fully updated as far as I can tell. It feels like Office 2013 is not keen on the idea of working with PDFs. The
Acrobat Add-In seems to only promote converting word docs to PDFs, and I found little to no settings referring to PDF embedding or any embedding for that matter.
Does Word 2013 disallow this feature unless you're using Windows 8 and the Windows Reader app?

Please try to insert some PDF files from Insert tab --> Object --> Create New --> Adobe Acrobat Document
In addition, make sure Adobe Reader is the default application to open the PDF files.
If the issue persists, please try repair or reinstall the latest version of Adobe reader and check this again.

Cannot embed pdfs in MS Word doc which are PDF Version 1.3 (Acrobat 4.x) [This is associated with Adobe Reader 9]. Getting 'program not installed' error.

Cannot embed pdfs in Word doc which are PDF Version 1.3 (Acrobat 4.x) [This is associated with Adobe Reader 9]. Getting 'program not installed' error.
Pdfs with other versions are okay:
Tested successfully with Adobe Pro 9 (Version 1.5 (Acrobat 6.x)), Reader X (Version 1.4 (Acrobat 5.x)) and XI (Version 1.6 (Acrobat 7.x))
Also cannot open embedded pdfs which have been embedded with this version (getting a similar error).
Importantly I have removed/disabled all security options in Adobe Reader, following numerous internet suggestions from Adobe and elsewhere. This does not fix the problem.
Currently the work around is to re-save the pdf with something other than Adobe Reader 9 (so the version updates), but we would prefer not to do this for all the old pdfs we have.

Create a PDF from webpage using entire site option doesn't works

OK, guys, this is the problem...
After YEARS of testing from Acrpbat 4 thru 9 on Create a PDF from webpage using entire site option... it doesn't works properly and doesn't got the entire site. ALWAYS get an error of memory or any other error but FINALLY you NEVER got the entire site. I'm talking for a big website... not like amazon.com, but a big one.
I make a walkarround to try to capture the website in parts but Acrobat is not "intelligent" to make a resume capture of the site, because ALWAYS start from the begining instead from the resume position of the site...
My question is, HOW can get the ENTIRE SITE in a PDF document... without getting errors or stopping the capture process...
Don't have problem of low RAM memory because I'm in a MONSTER MACINTOSH.... 3.2 GHZ with 8 Core and 32 GB of RAM under Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.6 in Acrobat 9 Pro.
If I'm not wrong, the GET ENTIRE SITE option in Web Capture (Create a PDF from webpage using entire site option) doesn't works from Acrobat 4 thru 9 in Pro version... tested, you'll never got the entire site... I'm talking in capture a huge entire site and not a little one...

Ok so I go to a web page and select something to print. Once I've clicked print I switch over from printer/micosoft xps docu writer/fax and select Adobe PDF. All goes through with a 'Create Adobe PDF' coming up progressing through to eventually save and store. Once I open the file it end up as the picture above. I have the same version on another computer and that works fine but this particular Sony laptop it doesn't seem to work properly.

Adobe Acrobat XI crashes when creating PDF from webpage.

I need to create quite a few pdfs from webpages and all of a sudden, after being completely functional, my Acrobat has begun crashing nearly 100% of the time when trying to do so. I'm defining crashing as either completely crashing ('...has stopped working...') or freezing indefinitely, forcing me to Force Quit. It may be worth mentioning that I am using the Mac version. Any ideas?

The problem is likely that the web page does not conform to standard HTML. AA8 crashed on me also. You can print the file from your browser. The only thing that would be missing would be the 3 links near the bottom and they are easy to add.

My organization wants to use the Create PDF from Webpage functionality in Acrobat to keep a record of our site. However, the PDF Acrobat created using the "Entire Site" setting includes all PDFs linked to the site as well as other pages (for individual news items, e.g.) that we do not want to include. Is there a way to exclude pages or links based on specific criteria when creating a PDF from a Website?

You can determine how far down in the website you want to go. You can require the capture mechanism to stay on the server as the picture says. But if you get the entire website, that is what you get. So if you ask you website designer to make your website in a way that everything you want is one level deep and everything you don't want is on the 2nd or 3rd level you are set.

Open Contacts and click Preferences on the menu named Contacts. On the General tab of the Preferences window, select Show First Name: Before Last Name and then print. You can change that Preference back to the other way after printing if desired.

It sounds like you want to be able to modify a PDF in Word.
If that is the case you need a program that will open the PDF and then perform an OCR (Optical Scan Recognition) on it to convert it back to text (PDF is a form of image/graphic file; like a photo taken of how it will print).

You could use the autoplay="false" tag but it will still allow the file to download in the background. No server savings in that method.
Better method: Use a "Poster movie".
The link to your source movie will not begin downloading until a visitor clicks on the poster.mov file.

A different issue has come up in the last few weeks that involves the page code tags for PC users running Internet Explorer and the new M$ security update:

The embed tag is dead (by itself) as it doesn't even allow PC IE users to view QT content. The "better" object and embed (nested) still will work but, again, PC visitors using IE (about 80% of browser use) may see a pop-up message alerting them to ActiveX content in your page. Nothing makes them flee from your site quicker than an alert they don't understand.
