That is a firmware issue - please update your phone with the nokia software updater and see if it fixes the problem.

No sound unless headphones attached and headphones icon will not go away.

I have a really weird problem with my Rezound. After a month of stellar performance, all of a sudden the headphone notification icon will not turn off but the headphones are not attached. As a result, the phone appears to think that the headphones are still plugged in (when they are not) so I get no sound unless I use speakerphone.
The weirdest part of this issue is that when I do plug headphones into the phone, it tries to call someone. Anyone know how to fix this?

We definitely don't want your phone to think it has a ghost headset plugged in! I will be more than happy to provide some suggestions!
Try leaving your headset plugged in and pull the battery out while the headset is in and the phone is off. Remove the headset and put everything back together.
Check if there's anything in the headset jack, such as debris. You can use canned air to clean the ports of your device, similar to a computer. Please just be careful.

I am a web developer and ever since the Firefox 22 update, sounds no longer play for any users on the website. I have even recreated the problem myself on a clean install of windows 7/clean firefox/clean quicktime install. The sound code worked flawlessly prior to the 22.0 update and has caused a big rift between my users and myself, mostly blaming me and not putting any blame on Mozilla. It has been frustrating as all of us have tried to work through our own ways/solutions with absolutely no fixes. The sound in question is located at http://www.trophyfishingonline.com (sorry but you'd have to register/login) but after, you click simply "Test Sound" and it will attempt to play. Prior to installing Quicktime, it did instruct me to download the plugin which I did and it did not work or play. Again, this worked flawlessly years for everyone(including myself) on Firefox and suddenly it does not work across the board for hundreds of users on different platforms, installations, etc. Please help - this is a bit of an emergency as a web developer who relies on the Firefox platform for his business.

My airplay sound from my mac to my tv will not work

I have reset and restarted the apple tv. I have did all updates on macbook and apple tv and it still does not work. It works just fine with my ipad but not the macbook which leads me to believe it is the macbook and not the apple tv. Any help will be greatly appreciated. It was working one day and then just stopped in the middle of a video.

When I try to use airplay on my Mac to my tv to view videos, it shows the video but no sound. When I use my ipad and use airplay, it works on the tv and there is video and sound. Therefore I know it is not the Apple TV itself. I do t know how much more detailed I can be. I'm trying to figure out why it doesn't work on my Mac. I click the Apple TV icon and then click it again on the drop down menu. The video starts playing but the sound does not play on the Mac or the tv. Thank you for your response.

MacBook Pro has no sound, no way to adjust volume, and will not play music.

My MacBook Pro seems to have lost all of its audio functions. I cannot adjust my volume using the keyboard controls, or through the button at the top of my desktop screen, or even through System Preferences. I get the normal volume adjust screen, but it is faded, and there is a symbol over it indicating that I cannot adjust anything. When I go into the Sounds menu from System Preferences, there is nothing for me to select under Input or under Output. My computer makes no noise, whether I'm using iTunes, watching a video, or anything. I cannot play music. My songs simply won't start, and when I skip to any given part of a song, the music still refuses to play. I am not getting the red light from my headphone port. I tried to remove any dust that may have collected in the headphone port, and I've even tried to reset my NVRAM and PRAM. I also updated to OS X Mavericks 10.9.2. Nothing helped. I remember that my MacBook was working perfectly fine all of yesterday, but at one point later in the evening, I tried to plug in my headphones to play music, but nothing would play. I opened Spotify, and it gave me a message that my speakers were broken (I was using the internal speakers). That's when I first noticed the issue. Is there anything else I can try before going to the Apple Store and having them try to fix it? Thank you very much, I appreciate any help.

The last gasp is an OSX reinstall. If that fails, then the genius bar is the best option.

Try a PRAM reset:
Power off the MBP. power it back up and before the sart up chime rings press the following keys: option, command, P,R,(no commas) and hold them down till the sart up chimes again.

Embed src in Servlets

I am confused on as to why I am only able to embed a source in my Servlet by referring to a remote file only. I have:

Okay, here's the situation:
I have a set of files that are processed by my servlet. PrintWriter in my doGet() method appends data to common accumulator file. So, I am using FileWriter/FileReader to access and store my file locally.
Now, I have created a user interface that when a user selects data(which is in SVG code) from a particular file, that data has to be drawn on a screen. So, you see that this data comes from files strored locally, okay so far?
So, the problem is that this data is displayed using <embed src=http://....> way and when I try to access this file, it takes a **few attempts** to get the next file data. So, data is changed using FileWriter but is accessed using remote call. I think the problem is that there is some sort of latency or something like that involved between a change in a local file and that change being recieved through remote call. That's why I think if I access the file locally, this problem will be solved. I hope I made sense.

There is a way to insert an image inside of the html code
with width and height already? I mean, now, if I want to insert an
image at the code, goes only <img src="images/test.gif" /> I
d like that if I insert an image it goes as: <img

is possible in dreamwaver to do that?

If you insert the image using the "Insert Image" function, DW
will
automatically insert the width and height.
Or, if you'd rather insert them the way you are, in the
Property Inspector
on the far left, click the dimensions next to the Image
field, and DW will
automatically add (or correct) the width and height.

"This accessory is not supported" usually refers to an inability to charge the iPod, but the music should still play throguh the Bose dock. My iPod Touch works this way.
However, when the Bose refuses to make any sound, I unplug it from mains power for one minute. Then plug it back in and try again. This always sorts out the sound issue, but of course, it still will not charg the Touch.
What happens in your case?

Thanks so much for the reply helifreak. Based on what you said I purchased the ipod touch. I can confirm that is does play on my old bose sound dock. As previously stated it will not charge though. I can't comment on if listening to the ipod on the bose is damaging my ipod but it seems fine so far.

Zen Stone will not play .WMAs

? Hi all- my Zen Stone recently stopped playing wma file- in fact, it will not play anything other than an mp3. When I try, I simply get the red-flashing error signal. I've tried resetting it, searching for updates, etc., but with no results. If this issue has been addressed elsewhere, I apologize, but I did several searches, and came up with dozens of posts concerning wma file sizes, quality, etc. but not this question in particular.
(I also tried the "wma vs. mp3" link in the FAQs, but it only led me to this error message: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: message_die() in /data/v-clients/nomad/db/db.php on line 88)
Any fix advice would be greatly appreciated- until this issue popped up, my Stone has been by far my favourite (and easiest to operate) player to date (well, at least since my old yellow Sony Sports Walkman!)? Cheers!

What app did you use to rip the CDs? If it was windows media player check the setting to be sure that the protect files is UNCECKED.

Fullscreen published in flash - htm 100% width and height file is too big

Hello everyone
I need some help to create a fullcreen flash animation inside
dreamweaver.
What I did was to create a html file published in flash 100%
width and height.
It worked well on my explorer browser, but the size of the
file is 995 k and this would be my index.
When I publish on my provider the file doesn't open, probably
is too big as an index, i don't know.
Is there anyone there that could help me on that one?

Well, firstly you have > 60 minutes of video, therefore, you should not use the 60 minute preset. Since you have 80 minutes of video, you're probably better off using the 90 minute preset.
Secondly, the presets assume that you are compressing your audio to AC3 with A.pack or Compressor 2 (depending on which version of DVDSP you're using). Uncompressed audio takes up lots of disc space and bandwidth.
Thirdly, the difference between the measured size in the Finder and the size in DVDSP is the difference between true gigabytes (how the Finder measures things) and billions of bytes (how DVDSP measures things). When you Get Info in the Finder, look at the number following the file size in GB... it's a larger number that's so many billions of bytes. This larger number should agree with the number you see in DVDSP. See the DVD FAQ for a discussion of this issue.
