Embedded fonts are not detected by Designer

I am trying to create a fillable pdf based from a form created in Adobe Framemaker. However, the fonts I have embedded in the .pdf source file from FrameMaker are not detected by Livecycle Designer. These include very common fonts like Helvetica and Times. Is there a setting somewhere in Designer to pick up on these embedded fonts?

I'm using this Acrobat almost for 2 years and I never had any problem. The Problem came up after the last update of the software to version 11.01.10.

Fonts are not correct.

I have some Japanese documents with embedded Hiragino Mincho fonts (which is serif). But Adobe Reader renders it using some gothic/san serif typeface. iBooks and Safari do render it with the correct typeface.

Attached is one of these documents with the embedded fonts. I was also not able to put annotations on it.

Embedded fonts do not convert in ps or Distiller

I have done this dozens of times. I distill a very large pdf document for web use. The doc was created by someone else, but
I have saved as a ps and opened in Distiller to flatten the images and reduce the size. This time the embedded fonts are lost. I have
tried the option of creating a new options file where the fonts are "always embedded" in the settings file. Any other suggestions?
I have tried this on a Mac in Acrobat X and on a PC with Acrobat 9. My impression is there is something different about the
document I received.

I found that problem was with fonts it self only.
When fonts were generated - was not included in it.

Embedded fonts are missing characters in display despite having all glyphs...

As per the subject, I have a vast array of different fonts that I need to load on demand via CSS to SWF.
For the most part, this works very well. I have around 600 fonts where everything is just fine.
I also have some problem fonts like the below;
That is _supposed_ to display;
"ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz"
All the glyphs are there, and have been validated using font.hasGlyphs(string) method.
The font works perfectly in numerous desktop applications
The font works perfectly when converted to a web font
Nonetheless, no matter what I try, or what SDK I use, the problem fonts always fail to display on the same characters.
My guess is, because they are allowing spaces for the characters, that the glyphs and / or metrics are slightly out, but I have absolutely no idea where to begin debugging this and I would welcome any input from anybody who _has_ got an idea!

Well, hasGlyphs just says there is data in the slot for that character, not whether the data is any good.
Essentially, all embedded fonts are transcoded into a Flash-compatible data format. Then Flash uses that data format to draw the glyph. There are 4 data formats that Flash uses, but they fall into two main categories: CFF, and non-CFF. The transcoding is done via the compiler with help from some font manager libraries listed in the flex-config.xml. Depending on whether you need CFF or non-CFF, I think different libraries are used. I've heard you may get slightly different results by messing around with the list of font managers, but I haven't proven it.
Anyway, first thing I would try is a simple, AS-only test with whatever configuration is failing (CFF or non-CFF). Then I would try the opposite configuration. Getting Flex and TLF out of the equation helps narrow down the possibilities. But it is probably some issue with the transcoding. Are there other commonalities with the non-working fonts? Are they all OTF or CFF fonts?

When you say "Colors/Fonts" are not saved, I'm not sure what you mean. How have you determined they were not saved?
Also, not sure what a "RAW" AI file is. I assume you mean simply a native format .ai file.
.ai will save all font and color information. It does not "embed" fonts, but it saves what fonts were used and will call the correct fonts when reopened (assuming fonts are available on the system).
CC 2014 also has a "Package" feature that will collect assets (fonts and images) into a central folder for easy distribution.

Mac Pro OSX 10.8.3 HP 4000 series scanners are not detecting.

Well..I think, I did everything. I have followed all instructions recommended by HP. I have updated and installed latest drivers. I have even searched the warez sites to find a trick. Useless, useless and useless.
Hardware is retina display with 256 GB SSD, 1600 mGz 8 GB ram and I7 processor. OSX version is 10.8.3
HP 4000 series scanners are not detecting by this machine. Vuescan is detecting but the scanning quality is also terrible.

For the Scanjet 4850, follow the link below and click on the instructions tab. It looks like you have to get the software and drivers for 10.6 and run a patch to make them work with 10.8. That should get the scanner installed and working.

My fonts are not working correctly

Hello guys,
I noticed today that most of my added fonts are not working. I use a lot of fonts that have a cyrillic subset which were working perfectly fine till 2 days ago. Now when I select a text field and try to change the font face to one of the added fonts, it changes the font face to whichever the default font is and renders the font selection menu to blank. I am really puzzled, the fonts are installed in the Fonts folder in Windows, and they were working perfectly fine till a couple of days ago. I havent installed any Fireworks or Windows updates in the meantime. I am working in Fireworks CS5.

I wasn't sure about my shut-down-and-restart suggestion, but I still think it might be a good idea to clear the font caches. Here are a couple links on clearing font caches for Windows and Adobe apps:

Suddenly...some fonts are not available.

InDesign CC 2014 Crashed today. When I relaunched it I found that some of my fonts are not available. I'm on a Mac Pro running Yosemite (10.10)
For example, two weights of Proxima Nova are available (Light and Regular) but the other weights are not. Those other various font weights are available in other apps (namely Illustrator).

I quite InDesign. Then I did a search and trashed all the AdobeFntXX.lst files that had a two digit number. I deleted the files and rebooted my computer. I then launched InDesign and had the same problem.
So, I quite InDesign again and deleted my Indesign Prefs and Saved Data file and relaunched. Same problem.
Very strange... since everything is okay in Illustrator, Photoshop and even an older version of InDesign CS6.

In order to be cross platform you must be using the Open Type version of all fonts to cause the least disruption. Macs can read and process the Windows .ttf type format but PCs can't process Mac formatted type. Most recent versions also cannot use the older PS Type 1 fonts.

Some web fonts are not rendered

When I visit some sites that use web fonts, the web fonts are not rendered. It does not render with the wrong font - the text is completely invisible.
On other sites, web fonts work just fine, and I cannot understand why some web fonts work and some don't.
