Embedded images not working very well

I am creatnig a pdf from a publisher file.
all images added via clipart are ok, but images i add myself that are large images do not seem to look clear when viewed in the created pdf file.
i have been told that i need to embed them in the pdf document?
please advise how i do this correctly as looking online and in the help files have not helped me yet.

PDF Language and Specification but rather, an issue of how to create PDF using Acrobat (or some other tool). Please repost in the appropriate forum (Acrobat or otherwise).

Podcasts with embedded images not working

I am trying to play this podcast https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-british-library-podcast/id935352158?mt=2 which contains embedded chapter images.
It plays fine within iTunes on a Mac but it doesn't work on my iPhone 6 iOS8.
Can anyone help me get it working. Is it even supposed to work?

WIFI and 3g not working very well together on 5s 8.1

Since I have upgraded my iPhone 5s, the wifi conection is too instable and slow.
I tried to reset all the settings but not resolve my issue.
So, I found in the internet one hint that said to turn off the celular data while using the wifi. Doing this, the wifi connection works better, but it still slow and drop sometimes.
Before the 8.1, everything was working perfectly.
I tested the same wifi connection in my old iPhone with iOs 6 and in my MacBook, both work perfectly, but the 5S with 8.1, no.
Does anyone have the same problem or know how to fix it?

Lo there all,
i followed the wiki and some threads here in the forums to set up a pci wireless card for my kids arch box. It is working, but could use some improvement.
First off, it is an rt61 and the module that loads for it is the rt61pci. Cool enough. To get the thing connected after a boot, i have to put this in the terminal.
iwconfig wlan0 up
iwlist wlan0 scan
iwconfig wlan0 essid myessid
then i am on line, no problem...
it connects by dhcp ( what i have in rc.conf )
but.... it drops the connection every once in a while. .
It's kinda random... after a long while or a short while, it just drops off. i think it has connected again,, but mostly it is off for good..
So that is one question... what do i do there ?
next.. .what do i put in rc.conf to not have to type stuff in the terminal every boot ?

what i find really strange about this is this address
169.254.227.0 for wlan0.. where is that comming from??? it may be a neighbors router that sometimes shows up in iwlist wlan0 scan that shows up as linksys or something like that. But i shoud be associating our thing here right ?

Gmail - Mail IMAP not working very well

Hey all, I'm having some trouble with moving from POP to IMAP on my mac. I just set it up and it works fine except for receiving mail and syncing up with gmail online but for some reason I am unable to send emails straight from Mail. It seems that Mail can't connect with the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP). It 's set to send to "smtp.gmail.com" as per the instructions at http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=81379. In the preferences pane that seems to translate to smtp.gmail.com:(my email address).
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for reading!

What are your settings for the Incoming and Outgoing ports; do they match exactly what Gmail advises in their Help page for Mail? If not, it won't work.

.Mac syncing not working very well

It worked for mail, but safari no luck what so ever no keychain access or bookmarks will copy over.
I have deleted my mac then re-instated it with no luck.
Am I alone?

I am in the same boat. I get an error when trying to connect via 10.5, but 10.4 on the same computer is just fine.
This is just one symptom of my general network issues with my fresh install of 10.5 on a brand new internal HDD. I'll be interested to see how it goes...

My iphone5 's Facetime is not working very well as my previous 4S. It is because of iOS6 or it is about the hardware?

My iphone5 is having a problem talking over Facetime between Bangkok and Japan. The system shows "reconnecting" several times recently. Today it showed "unable to connect" both from my iphone5 and ipad 3rd gen.
What is the problem ?
Please fix it before i get back to skype via many choices in the market!

I too have seen this problem exhibit with IOS 6
Often it is related to wifi issues with iOS 6 rather than face time
This is a user to user forum and whilst I sympathise with your frustration threatening to go to another platform doesn't serve any purpose here other than telling other users how you feel.
Keep an eye open for updates to iOS and take a look at the wifi issues posted here - perhaps see if the problem exhibits when you are connected to wifi elsewhere?

The mouse that came with my imac does not work very well in a window virtual machine

I finally got Windows 7 on my iMac and am using FusionVM. I installed one of my favorite games and the mouse goes soooooo slow I cannot use the game. Any suggestions? I am using the mouse that came with the iMac, magic mouse(??).

I have already tried that. The mouse speed on the iMac is good. The mouse speed in other Windows7 programs is good. The problem arose when I tried to play Zuma's Revenge using Windows7. This is the first game I have loaded since setting up the virtual machine.

Do other devices successfully connect to the router?
Does the iPod successfully connect to other networks/routers?
Does the iPod show wifi bands in the upper left?
Try:
- Resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Powering off and then back on the router
- Resetting networksettings: Settings>General>Reset>Reet Network Setting
