Embedded youtube videos will no longer play in Powerpoint 2010

Since upgrading to Flashplayer 11, I can no longer play embedded youtube videos in powerpoint 2010.  I get the error message that I have to upgrade Flashplayer.  I have performed several clean installs, yet I continue to get the same error message stating that I have to upgrade Flashplayer.  How do I correct this?

i know right here is one fix if u got 2010 powerpoint  youtube did some changes thats not compatable with it . 1 way around it that might work for you is within the use old embeded code  were it says version=3 change it # into 2 insted of 3. do this in both appeareances.
example   <object width="1280" height="720"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1rcqwRgVvvw?version=3&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1rcqwRgVvvw?version=3&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="1280" height="720" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
change the #3 to the #2 thats it. then paste it in your powerpoint insert video from web.

  • Youtube videos will no longer play in Firefox (only) - MAC

I can no longer play videos in YouTube. I am running Firefox 37.0.1 (MAC). This is a new problem, most likely occurring in the last 24 hours. YouTube videos are working in Chrome.

  • Video will no longer play, cannot add video content either.

Since this afternoon, iTunes video will no longer play. Not movies, not TV shows. I checked and music and podcasts still play. I thought it might be a conflict between purchased video vs video I added from my DVDs, but no such luck. Purchased content will not play. Nor can I add any new video, whereas I added a new TV show episode this morning.
If I go into the iTunes LIbrary file and select a video and choose "Play with Quicktime" the video plays just fine. But if I select "Play with iTunes" nothing happens. At all. Not even an error code. It's like I didn't select anything. If I try to add content by the keystroke "command O" and choose the file … again, nothing. No error. Just no response at all. When I open that file on my computer, select "Play with Quicktime", then choose "Share with iTunes" inside Quicktime I do finally get an error. "This file cannot be shared (error 206)". I looked up this error code and found this: "The filename or extension is too long." This does not make sense. The file names are fine and the extensions are exactly what I always use to add content to iTunes.
So it's like the entire video portion of iTunes has ceased to function. Any clues?

  • After upgrading, my MP4 vacation videos will no longer play.???

Just upgraded my old Leopard to Snow Leopard and quickly noticed that it takes 10-20 times longer to load some web pages, if they load at all. Also, I've had to switch to using Firefox to pay one of my credit card bills for this reason. And now I have noticed that the MP4 videos from my great vacation (stored in I-Photo) will no longer play. ???? Any idea what I can do? Thanks.

    Mac OS X (10.6.3)
Use Software Update or the OS 10.6.8 combo update to update your OS.  Also, update everything SU has to offer for your computer.  When done, repair permissions and restart your computer.

  • Videos will no longer play and add-ons and plug-ins say up to date?

My computer no longer plays videos-- whether on facebook or youtube... facebook videos get a tiny square but never open to play-- youtube screen where video should be is blank... all add-ons and plug-ins say up to date. I have comcast internet. Thank you

Please try two things, please clear the storage for the flash plug in by right clicking where the video should be and clicking "Global settings" and navigate to storage. Clear the stored data and restart Firefox.
Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings. (See [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems|this article]] for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).
To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:
#Go to this [http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues Adobe Flash Player Help page].
#Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page.
#Click on '''Settings''' in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
    # Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel. <br/> <br/>[[Image:fpSettings1.PNG]] <br/>
    # Remove the check mark from '''Enable hardware acceleration'''.
    # Click '''Close''' to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
    # Restart Firefox.
This [http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html Flash Player Help - Display Settings page] has more information on Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you're interested.
Does this solve the problem? Let us know.

  • Videos will no longer play with firefox but will still play with explorer. I reinstalled flash player. tried resetting nothing seems to help

I have tried everything I know and nothing has worked. Yesterday everything was fine and today I can't get videos to play. I have tried Youtube and various news sites as well as Yahoo news. All I get is a blank screen. I tried it with Internet Explorer and all work. Anyone have any ideas?

There are a number of active threads concerning the latest Flash player plugin (11.3) and the latest Firefox (13). Not all users are experiencing the same issues, but things to check include the following:
    - Conflict with Realplayer Browser Record plugin (to disable this, open Add-ons from the orange Firefox button or the classic Tools menu and look under the Extensions and Plugins categories)
    - Conflict with Flash 11.3 Protected Mode (see [http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071?tstart=0 Adobe Forums: How do I disable Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?])
Scanning down the front of the forums probably will yield additional suggestions: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions
Please post back with your results.

  • Iphone videos will no longer play on mac after upgrade

Hi, I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion and since doing so, all the video's that I took with my iphone and moved to my mac (everything that was on my mac already prior to the upgrade), no longer work. I basically lost all videos of the first 6 months of my daughters life following the upgrade and I would like to know how I can get the videos' to work again or if this is lost for good?

    Hi, Slumdog13.
Where did these videos come from? Did you download them directly from Nokia Suite or did you sync your mobile device and got these videos from there?
What is the format of the old videos that you are trying to play? Have you also tried to sync/transfer new videos and then play them? If yes, have you encountered the same error message?
Have you also tried transferring these videos from the Nokia Suite to your Desktop and check if you'll be able to play them?
You can also try to update the Nokia Suite to the latest version "Nokia Suite 3.8" or uninstall and then re-install it. Just visit the link provided below:

  • Videos will no longer play on laptop

i have tried to look at some of my old videos in my Nokia Suite on my Vista laptop today, but none of them will now play.
I get "video cannot be played, the video file may contain an unsupported video format."
They have always played before why not now?
Could it be because I haven't been able to update the suite to 3.8.48.0?
    Thanks.

  • Since the lastest update, videos will no longer play. They start and stop over and over again.

Since the latest update to Firefox, I can no longer view videos on my PC. They start, play for a few seconds, then stop and repeat this process over and over again.
I have a high speed internet connection and never had this problem until this past Thursday (10-06-11) after Firefox updated.

  • Videos will no longer play in iTunes on computer

I am running 32 bit Vista and iTunes 8.02 and quicktime 7.5.5. I just installed the digital version of Appoloosa and it either crashes iTunes or plays with a green screen. I tried my other digital copies I have watched before without a problem and they crash iTunes. I tried disabiling Direct 3D in Quicktime and even safe mode. The only thing I got was it playing in white. HELP!

Here is the log. Looks like its QT is crashing it. So, again, its either QT, or one of the Vista updates. I haven't tried to watch a movie on the computer in awhile so I have no idea what update in the past few months is causing the problem.

  • Error with embedded Youtube videos on website pages

On websites that have embedded Youtube videos, I no longer see a still shot of the video , nor do they have a button to allow me play them. Instead I see I message in the box where the video should be, that says "a plugin is needed to display the content". This must be related to a setting I messed up, because a few days ago I didn't have this issue. I would appreciate some guidance. Thanks

  • Embedded youtube video is consuming website output quota

I have a free website (www.agendatellme.com.br) hosted on azure that contains a youtube embedded video. I am suspecting that when the video is played it is consuming the output data quota from this website.
Is it expected? If so, why?

An embedded youtube video will not consume data from the website's quota as it goes from the client directly to youtube.
    Why do you suspect otherwise?

  • Firefox no longer plays embedded YouTube videos - message "An error occured, please try later"

I've updated FireFox, cleared cache etc., but continue to experience this issue on several different sites where I have embedded YouTube videos. This issue has only just started happening - all was well a few days ago. They play fine with Chrome and Safari and I can also play the un-embeded version on YouTube in Firefox.

Yes, unfortunately, another user reported this a few days ago on his website.
Currently the only workaround is to click the YouTube button in the player to launch the video in a new window, and then manually edit the -nocookie out of the address and press Enter to load it on the real YouTube site.
Hopefully someone at Google/YouTube will figure out why this suddenly broke and fix it.
