  • How to create business charts in Forms 10g?

In the old days, before and in 8i, we can still create business charts using Graphics Builder with the following graph types. How can we build business charts in forms 10g?
Column: Shows discrete values using vertical columns
Bar: Shows discrete values using horizontal bars
Gantt: Shows task or project scheduling information using horizontal bars
High-Low: Shows multiple Y-axis values for each X-axis point
Line: Shows data values as points connected by lines to show trends
Mixed: Combines a column and line chart
Pie: Shows how individual data values contribute to an overall total
Scatter: Plots 2 sets of potentially related data to identify possible trends
Table: Shows text data in a table
Double-Y: Shows a column or line chart with multiple values for the same X-axis value

On the samples page on OTN there is a piece on how to use BI beans to achieve business charts. Search for "BI bean Graphs in Forms".

I have to make inaccessible the Javascript code embedded in a form pdf. How can I do?

You can secure the file and prevent access to the code, but it's very easy
to overcome that. Alternatively you can use a code obfuscator to make the
    code less legible.

  • Chart in Form Builder 9i

    Hi All,
    I have a question for u.
How to display a chart on form builder 9i.
    Regards,
    Jansen

    Jansen,
you either can use the Graphics6i runtime, installed in a separate Oracle Home, or - more easy - have a look at the Forms sample of how to use the Business Intelligence beans Graph (a Jaba Bean component)
    http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/products/forms/content.html
It's flagged as new. Here you find the demo sources (actually all that is needed) as well as a viewlet for a first look.

  • Organization chart in forms 6i

    Hi all!!
I am using forms version 6(6i).My requirement is to develop an organisation chart from forms(not using trees).Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
it depends on how long you want to use 6i. Do you want to migrate up to 10g in the next time? Because Graphics is obsolete in 10g and you have to use java beans instead of then (means double work). Although it looks more mean to use forms and the charts there, you have to consider to do it with excel instead.

  • How to stop an embedded 'Adobe FormsCentral Form' jumping to the top of page?

I have asked this over on the Muse disscussion forum also but no responce...
I'm using an embedded "adobe formscentral' form in my Muse website. The form has several 'pages' so the problem is when I click the 'next' button within these forms, the new browser window places the form at the top of the page so the user has to keep scolling back to it... very annoying. See here...
    http://thinksmarttestsite.businesscatalyst.com/parthorus-resume-design .html
I have applied a scroll motion to the inserted HTML box to ensure it dosn't move and that works fine when using Firefox but when i check the published site on any other browser or in fact any other computer the problem persists.
    Any ideas guys?

    Hi,
    >>when I click the 'next' button within these forms, the new browser window places the form at the top of the page
Yes, this is the expected behavior.
    >>I have applied a scroll motion to the inserted HTML box to ensure it dosn't move...
Will you post the actual html page that is having problem, so that we can take a look? the link you provided in your earlier message, resulted in a 'page not found' error.
    Thanks,
    Lucia

  • Embed A Chart into Form View

    Hello,
I'm following v1.2 of the SAP Analytics Composite Applications: UI Guidelines document.
It advises to embed a table view into a form view in several different chapters.
I can't work out how to do this in VC. I've tried dragging and dropping the table into the form, but the VC just repositions them apart on the page - can anyone help me?
    Many Thanks,
    Richard Cook
    Systems Analyst.

    Hello Richard,
Since it is about UI guidelines, I guess the meaning is to have the table embedded in a form as for layout point of view.
This can be accomplished by setting the table frame style to transparent and placing it over the form in the layout tab.
    Hope I helped,
    Shay

  • Can I upload a php file to my host with an embedded html contact form in Muse for it to work?

Can I upload a php file to my host with an embedded html contact form in Muse for it to work?

That would require to know your hosting provider and his requirements. And therein also lies the answer: You cannot blindly design a form in Muse and just hope it will work, you have to know this stuff beforehand and design "to spec".

  • Is there a way to speed up charts on Forms?

    Hi,
I have a chart incorporated on a form using the chart wizard.
The problem is that the first chart generated takes forever
although subsequent charts are seem much faster. I know that
this is related to Oracle Graphics Batch but is there a way to
speed this up on the first chart? Maybe there is a way to start
Oracle Graphics Batch in the backround on application start-up?
I'm out of ideas on this one.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

  • Chart in Forms 9i or 10g

Escuse me, my english is no so good. But my cuestion is, Can i work with graph (new version) in Forms 9i or 10g. I try to work with Chart Item but is imposible.

    Josune,
there is a Whitepaper available in teh Forms9i collateral section on otn.oracle.com/products/forms that explains how to use Graphics 6i in a 9i environment. This however is not a smooth integration and - if for simple charts - I suggest to look at the BI graph Bean example in teh Forms9i demos.
    http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/products/forms/index9i.html
Its in the first extension pack. You can see a screenshot on teh page too.

  • Error while executing chart from form

Chart run well from local PC. but when i try to run it from Application server error accured " OG-1603: Unable to create PL/SQL Development Environment context"

    Hi,
Whenever you create any view in webdynpro, the default text view element comes automatically. this is the reason for the presence of label.
you can go to the layout of the view and remove the textview element from the root UI transaparent container.
<u>Regarding the presence of blank IFrame:</u>
Please check if you have performed AFC setup before running the adobe interactive form application. the blank frame could be because of that.
Also try replacing the webserver name with its IP address in the application URL. This will help in the ADS to recognise your webserver.

  • Acrobat Forms - receiving Images embedded in Distributed Forms

Hi, I've been using the Acrobat forms through Live Cycle for a while now for small simple projects, but trying to implement it now in something a bit more complex (as well as learning more as I go).
I've made a form in LiveCycle ES2 requesting Text, Radio Buttons ...
...BUT also that the respondee can send their company logo with the form. To make it simpler than just attaching the logo seperately in an Email.
I've found the Image Field Object which allows the respondee to upload their Logo into the PDF which then gets mailed back to me.
What I haven't seen is a way to extract this logo to a databank or similar.
The text I can collect, sort through, and export as CSV or XML which is great, but other than the logos being embedded in the returned PDF, they don't seem to be accessible anywhere.
I've probably overlooked it somewhere. (I hope). Can someone assist?
(I'm also not certain what the difference between creating forms in LiveCycle and straight through Acrobat is, but I'll ask that in another question).
    Thanks Angus

Since your question is specific to Designer, ask in the LiveCycle forum. Be aware that adding pictures is a rather new process and may not work for folks with older versions of Acrobat or Reader (don't remember how far back this goes).

  • How can I show the chart in forms?

    Dear all:
I want to create a line chart. I use the chart wizard and it is successful to create the chart. But, it can't show the chart when I run the form. How can I show the chart in form6i?
Besides, I see a document that refer to 'OG.pll'.
I can't find the OG.pll in form6i. Do I need 'OG.pll' to show the chart when I run the form? Thank you very much!!

    Hi Carlos,
You can try to create a code node for check which signature to print.
In global variable declare a variable ie named g_sign type TDOBNAME.
Then pass this var to name of graphics &g_sign&
    please check and reply.

  • Embed information in an embedded chart

I have embedded a bar chart in a jpg image (Map). The image shows census tracts and the chart holds the information on consumer spending in dollars for different occupation sectors in each census tract. But along with the amount in dollars, I also want to include the index for each of these occupation sectors, again for each census tract.
Is it possible to embed this information in the chart without linking it to the image. If not, can anyone think of any other way to do this?
    Thanks!

From my understanding, it seems that you have the icon component as a selector.  When clicked on, it dynamically updates a chart wtih tract specific data depending on the icon selected.  At the same time you need this chart to display data independent of the icon selection which would show customer spending data.
Based on this, would it be possible for you to use a combination chart and utilize the dual axis?  Series1 can be linked to your icon forumulas which update dynamically, while Series2 can be linked to a range specifc for your customer spending data.  One Y axis can measure your tract data while the second Y axis can measure your customer spending metrics.
