Embedding flash games in blogs and website

I am researching allowing people to embed my series of flash games easily in their blogs and on their websites similar to how YouTube allows embedding videos. My site manages the difficulty level a person plays at and cycles a person through multiple games.

again, if you're using a url link there's no problem. you'll link to your first game. when a user clicks the link they'll be viewing the game served by your website. if after completing the first game, you're website is setup to serve the 2nd game, that's what users will see.

Will I still me able to keep my blogs and websites with iWeb after Mobileme is discontinued?

My wife and I use iWeb via Mobileme for our websites and blogs. Mobileme is being discontinued for iCloud. Can anyone reassure me that I can keep my iWeb websites? I feel iWeb was a good thing that almost got better but has been neglected in the last version of iLife so for the first time didn't upgrade. I am anxious that Apple will just let it slip away. I don't have any insider information, but I would have to guess that Apple would keep a web hosting option to its chosen successor to MobileMe. iCould is clearly a Hosted Exchange Server alternative and web hosting would seem to be needed for many small businesses who are using this service as an alternative to web hosting. It also helps push their iLife product line. If you kill webhosting, iWeb becomes a weaker product. That said, I would keep a backup.
I think that as iCloud gets nearer to release date, we will see more options get released. I'm sure that Apple will be willing to sell more storage space, that web hosting will be available, etc. My gut is that probably won't charge for the hosting, but will draw down from your data pool. It just seems like a cleaner way and will actually get more people to take the jump. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Sharepoint type service emerge as well. Only time will tell, but Apple's philosophy is to make all their pieces fit together and work better than than anyone else's. A web hosting component seems to make sense.

Computer is slow while playing flash games

I am having a problem with my computer running slow/lagging when I am playing flash games on a

Where can I buy the code or buy the book to make a simple flash game?

I need to make or buy a template for a simple flash game for a clients website. It has to be legit to buy. It is about 5 pages long. You are asked a question, you select a radio button for the answer to the question, it compiles all your answers and gives you a result.
I know flash pretty well but ccording to budget and time.it is best not to have to experiment.

No signal while playing flash games

Hi,
i need help with a problem. Everytime i play a flash game (casino) on my pc my monitor goes black en i see the message 'no signal'. My computer is still on but doesn't respond to anything. Even on/off doesn't work. I have to pull the plug and restart the computer. Any1 know what could be wrong? Every driver etc is up to date and it only happens with flash games. Games like world of warcraft have no problem.

thx for your response. I tried what you said but after an hour of playing i got the problem again. Some times it happens after 4 seconds and sometimes after 4 hours. Btw this is my second pc were i have this problem. My old pc had windos xp and now i have a pc with windows 7, 2.60ghz and 8gb ram. I replaced the ati radeon 512 mb videocard with a nvidea 2gb but still have the problem. I tried it with and without antivirus etc but nothing helps. Again games like world of warcraft have no problem at all. Only (casino) flash games i downloaded and the ones i play online.

Embedded flash not behaving correctly

     I am having some problems with embedding flash into a PDF and I hope you can help. When I run the flash outside the PDF, all of the rollovers and cursor changes behave correctly. However, once I embed the flash into the pdf and launch it, when I rollover areas of interaction, the cursor doesn't behave like it should.
     Outside the PDF, when I rollover an area of interaction, the pointer changes to the hand. When it is embedded into a PDF, I hit the edge of the area of interaction and the cursor flashes to the hand and then back to the pointer.
     I know these aren't the correct terms but I am hoping that it is decipherable. I am far from a flash or PDF guru, but I have tried everything I can think of to get this to work. The flash presentation was created in adobe captivate 3.
     I have opened a case with Adobe support and I was on the phone with them for 2+ hours today with no resolution. I am hoping the collective knowledge of the forums and the internet can help! Thanks in advance!

I am also having a problem with this . It seems to be a bug because it is not only movie clips but buttons that don't show the hand cursor.
My problem was with a simple flash test movie created in flash cs5 using actionscript 2

3rd gen i7, intel 4000, 8gb ram
I am playing CivWorld (flash game) on facebook and listening to Pandora in another tab on Google Chrome.
When I begin to drag my map around in CivWorld after about 5 seconds the audio begins to chop up and drop out in Pandora. When I am watching my process in Chrome my fps drops from 25 to 6 or 7. When I stop dragging the map everything instantly goes back to normal.
How do stop this from happening?

Unable to leave comments on blogs or websites.

As of last week any comments I leave on blogs and websites are not showing up ( with the exception of one website only ). I have contacted the site owners in case their spam catchers were catching my comments. This has not been the case. I have been a regular contributor to some of these sites for more than a year. The comment box shows up and I can type in a comment, but when I hit submit, the comment does not appear as posted. I have used first aid on disc utility, reset cookies but no luck. I am having the same problem using both Safari and Firefox. I have an iMac G5 running Leopard ( 10.5.8 ), I hope someone can help me. Thanks

Flash games on touchpad help

hi there.
I have touchpad and try to play games of flash, and have difficulty using.
I got bejeweled 1 working, having done a google search and found a popcap site link ending with .FLV, It worked great.
however, when searching for bejeweled 2, on popcap site, came to regular page, where select to play, the page moves everywhere, and I cannot drag jeweled as whole page moves,
on my pre 2, I would play by turning pre 2 horizontal, and the small flash game would maximize, and would not shift, the verticle would return to normal, but that does not appear to happen.
any help would be great.
how can I play flash games on touchpad so
a the game maximises and fills screen.
b the screen does not move when trying to play the game.

Thanks, Eric. I'm not sure what I should be checking using your suggestion--as I said, I'm an utter novice with the iMac. However, I saw a reference to problems with the Library entries, so I checked mine and the iWork files were missing, something confirmed when I checked the crash log. In desperation, I did another software update, and that seems to have fixed the problem completely. Now wondering if I dare upgrade to Lion!

Embeded Flash and Internet Explorer

When try and access a page I have created with internet
explorer composed of html with an embed .swf there is a white box
that one has to click to then access the normal functions of the
.swf. Is there any code to make it so this extra click to access
the embeded flash does not have to happen? It does not happen in
firefox or safari.

This is due to Microsoft IE changes required to avoid
infringing the
(stupid) EOLAS patent. It applies to all Active-X control
that can interact
with the user.
If you are viewing a web site, you cannot really do anything
to fix it,
except complain to the web master

Youtube and flash games work, but other sites that use flash don't work

Hi-
I'm currently using Firefox 18.0.2 on 2 different computers (Both Win7 64 bit), both with flash 11.6.602.168. Both have roughly the same programs installed and the same browser configuration. However, on one machine, flash works only on some sites. For instance, Youtube works perfectly, as do dedicated flash games. However, sites that use embedded flash applications fail to work. For instance, if I visit www.speedtest.net, where the test options normally appear is completely blank. Similarly, other video players fail. For example, videos in www.cbsnews.com play sound, but where the video should be is just white. I've tried completely uninstalling both firefox as well as flash, and installing previous versions, nothing has worked.

I guess it is a process of elimination, what is different ?
I would first of all check and experiment with Adobe FlashPlayer protected mode setting.

Also have you any filtering, adblock or security related programs installed which may block video or scripts. With you-tube check is it actually using Flash player,and not trying to use any HTML5 options so check any options and cookies.

The sound at youtube goes mute automatically and/or when i'm in a flash game and i press a link the sound also mutes. it only happened when i updated firefox :(

the sound mutes, the bar keeps downloading and "playing"
when i go back or pause+play the sound goes back on
when im playing a game i have to open chrome because the sound mutes everytime i click anything on the (flash) game
im considering moving to chrome, im very disapointed with last firefox update, its full of bugs... ;(

Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox are most probably caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update and/or a malfunctioning Real Player browser plugin.

Embedded Flash from Justin.tv on my website

I am streaming a couple of ip camera's via Xsplit to Justin.TV. To show the footage on my Joomla website I use the embedded flash code. My goal is to show the video stream without any black bars above, under or at the sides.
I have two examples that work reasonable well:
camera 1: resolution 640 x 480 => Xsplit setting 640 x 480 (4:3). On my website I use the embedded flash code from justin.tv. and use following settings : 600 x 480 (5:4) .
camera 2: resolution 704 x 576 => Xsplit setting 704 x 576 (11:9). On my website I use the embedded flash code and use following settings : 600 x 520 (15:13).

My question is following:
What happens on the way from Justin.TV to an embedded Flash video on my website.

flash cs5.5 can be used to create desktop, browser-based and mobile: games and applications including those that use animation.

you'll need a domain (register your name) and you'll need a web host where your site is physically located.
