Embedding VC 240 video in a webpage

I have installed a VC 240 at my kid's school to record their new high school being built.
It's behind a firewall so I can NAT the inside camera IP (which is static) to the outside ip/port.
Is there any document on how to go about getting the video stream from the camera embedded in to a webpage for the students to view from home?

  • Embedding a YouTube Video utilizing HTML Insert Crashes Muse Repeatedly

Just today I have noticed when embedding a YouTube Video in Muse that it has begun crashing repeatedly. I cannot get the video to stay embedded to finish this project. Is there a bug or a work-around?
    Thank you.

Please try using YouTube embed code with the "Enable privacy-enhanced mode" option checked. It appears this crash is being triggered by recent changes in how YouTube's embed code works. At least early evidence indicates turning the "Enable privacy-enhanced mode" option on when creating the embed code appears to change the behavior of the embed code enough to avoid triggering this crash within Muse.
If you do try this, please report back to let us know whether or not setting this option enables you to avoid this crash. Thanks.

  • How do I insert video into my webpage?

I am using Dreamweaver 8. I have taken my camcorder video and uploaded it to youtube and copied the mp4 file to my hard drive.
I have created a page with several videos on the page. I created a screenshot of the video and sized it to the appropriate size. I then created a link to the video mp4 file. However it opens in a separate page.
I want to have the video open on the same page in the same location as the screenshot. Click on the image and it just starts playing.
I notice that I can get it to do this if it is a flash (.flv) file but since all of my videos are mp4 that won't work.
How do I insert video into my webpage? Do I convert the mp4 files to flash? How? What do I do?
    Thanks
    Matt

Sorry, I understood you to say you had the whole CS6 suite, which includes Illustrator.
As far as finding out what the files are, sometimes you can look at them in a text editor to figure this out. See below; the, Creator Tool line. Not every software package makes it this easy, though.

  • Embedding a Captivate Project into a Webpage

    Hi there,
First post here so forgive me if it's excessively detailed!
Just published my project (which contains interactive
elements and flv video clips) to Flash and I have now have a folder
containing the two .swf files, the flv files, .js file and the html
    file.
When I open the html file it works fine - the project plays
inside a pale green border that fills the browser window. I want to
embed the project into an existing webpage (or have a popup)
    *without* the pale green border.
I've looked at the source code of the html file and I'm not
sure what, if anything, I should strip out. There is also no
reference in that html code to the .swf file (only the skin.swf
file) or any of the flv files. How does it know where to call them
    from???
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Phil.

The Captivate output files are a bit like a house of cards.
All elements are critical. Here's how they pan out.
You upload all the files to your server. Normally in the same
    location.
You point your user to the HTML file.
User clicks the link pointing to the HTML file and it loads
    up into the browser.
The HTML file looks for the standard.js file. Assuming it is
found, more code is added to the HTML file.
The MainMovie_skin.SWF is then loaded into the browser
    window.
Internally, the MainMovie_skin.SWF knows to look for the
    MainMovie.SWF and it loads up.
As each slide pointing to a .FLV is encountered, the .FLV is
loaded at that time and plays.
As for embedding into an existing page, you will need to sift
through the code for the Captivate created HTML file for clues. Are
you using a Web Development tool such as Dreamweaver, FrontPage or

  • CP 6.0.1.240 - Video Demo Project vs. Video Recording & YouTube

    Hello,
I have a project with two small slide videos included.  I recorded them using Record New Video Demo and I embedded them on 2 different slides using Video > Insert Video.  Once embedded I added text captions etc and timed them to coincide with the video.  When I preview the video, timing is dead on.  When I publish to YouTube, one of the two videos delays noticeably and it throws off the timiing of all the related captions, etc.  I tried F4V and MP4, I tried uploading using the YouTube button and directly, no change.  I even tried manually pushing the timing of the captions out to see if I could account for the delay on YouTube but it doesn't have to do with the slide just the pre-loading or starting of the video on that slide.  The fact that I have 2 slides each with an embeded video and one works fine and the other doesn't is driving me around the bend.  I compared the two slides side-by-side and could not find any differentiating settings.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for me to try?
    Thanks
    Julie
UPDATE:  I went back to compare side-by-side the videos and I have noticed a difference.  One is called a Video Recording and the one that pauses for too long is called a Video Demo Project.  I could have sworn I recorded them in the exact same way.  This sounds silly but does anyone know what I did differenty; why one is a video demo and why the other is a video recorrding?

UPDATE:  When I finally published the video to YouTube, the hiccup or pause on the background audio seems to have resolved.  It was very evident in previewing the project and not noticeable once published to YouTube.  I have a new issue now as it relates to pausing but not of the audio of the video itself.  I will be posting a new thread for that.

  • Quicktime Pop-up videos on my webpage

Forgive me for my inexperience - first time on a forum...
I am using FrontPage to design my webpage and working in Windows Internet Explorer.
    *WHAT I'M TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH:*
On my webpage I want to have a selection of photos that link to (.mp4) videos. Clicking on a photo should open a smaller pop-up window (preferably without the blue browser border) with just the Quicktime player and the associated video, where the user can move the new window anywhere he wants while still viewing my webpage AND he can manipulate the video using the Quicktime buttons.
*HERE'S WHAT I HAVE SO FAR (BESIDES GREY HAIR):*
I have small photos (meant to be like links) and have created a "behavior" to "Open Browser Window" and play the associated video for each photo.
*WHAT I DESPERATELY NEED HELP WITH:*
    1) I am not using a hyperlink on the photos to open the video (which I've tried) because they take the user to another browser window from which they have to hit the back key to return the the previous web page. If the user tries to close the window, he exits from my webpage completely. Consequently, by not using a hyperlink, there's no "hand" to indicate there's a video or a link to something else.
    2) When in FrontPage and I Preview using Internet Explorer everything seems to work perfect (except the "hand" indicating a link is not there). However, when I publish, only the first photo opens and runs in the small pop-up window. When I click on the other photos a pop-up appears with a white background, looks like it's downloading and then nothing happens.
    3) For the one video that plays, the player doesn't display much functionality and doesn't look anywhere near as nice as the Quicktime player that opens when I just click on the video from Explorer... that player doesn't have a browser box around it and it has a Quicktime menu at the top and at the botton it has large navigation buttons to select for Play, Rewind, Forward etc. It's much more professional looking. But first things first... gotta get those videos to play however I can.
    PLEASE HELP!! GRATEFULLY INDEBTED!!

Look at the Poster Movie example code. A poster movie acts as a "placeholder" for your QuickTime file or it can also call the QuickTime Player (bypassing the plug-in).
The poster can be a still image file saved as a QuickTime .mov file (requires the Pro upgrade) and the extra html code to target="quicktimeplayer" in the object and embed tags.

  • How do I insert  a windows media player video on my webpage?

    Hi
I want to insert a video in windows media player on my webpage. (actually I want to insert 3 on the 1 page, but to start with, I'll be happy with 1!)
Dreamweaver says that it doesnt recognise the file type, and the dreamweaver help is pretty bad on this topic.
    Any help gratefully received
    Many thanks

Flash Video is the gold standard used on YouTube, FaceBook, MySpace and other video sharing sites now.  DW makes it easy to insert Flash Video but tougher for other file types.

  • Embedded audio and video files with Acrobat x Pro

Can an audio or video file be embedded in a document with Acrobat x Pro & opened with Adobe Reader xi?

You can place video or sound files onto the pages of a PDF file using the Multimedia button on the Tools Pane > Content Panel. The result is called a Rich Media Annotation, and will play back on the desktop versions of Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader.
The files have to be compatible with Flash Player, so videos need to be in H.264, FLV or F4V, and audio files in MP3.

  • Creating an interactive CV: mouse over / roll over pop ups, embedded documents and videos

    Hi everyone,
I am pretty new to Adobe Acrobat Pro and new to this forum (1st post here!). Greetings from Spain... and apologies for grammar mistakes and misleading explanations (in advance). I have been checking this forum and googling quite a bit, but I do not get to many conclusions (maybe I sleep few due to our baby!).
I want to create an interactive CV with the following characteristics:
    1) CV in 1 page in a PDF document (no problem here!)
    2) Hyperlinks in the text which open embedded files (pdf of others) hidden to the viewer but which are in the pdf document. Possible? (I want the recruiter to receive just one file). Even better if they could be open in another window (doubt it).
How could it be done? I try add documents and they are attached at the end, so the original pdf gets to have more pages, all viewable.
    3) Furthermore, mouse over / roll over pop ups which show you a preview of the file you may open clicking the hyperlink, for a quick view of the content.
I think that this may be done, but using other programs, like InDesign. I just try to add a document, but it's sort of a link to a document in my computer. I may add pdf, pps files.
    4) Even more, would it be possible to embed a video which would open in a new window? If not, I tried to add a link to youtube and there was a warning as "this program tries to open a window, if you trust the owner... " (similar safety message) and the very last thing I want the recruiter to have to decide whether to decide to watch it or not.
I know its a questions in its very first stages, but the big point is to know if/what it is possible to do, so that I search in the right direction.
If you have any idea or advice (even if not related to PDF pro, of course), just please let me know.
Thanks a lot in advance. I hope this thread may help others.
    Cheers,
    tebanseeker

    Hi Dave,
Thanks a lot for the input.
    (3) Right, I could not find either a way using just Acrobat Pro (I'm using XI). Sad thing that you confirm it... But it looks like you may do it using other programs on the PDF, but I don't know to use them. You may take a look at this:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEyJuT8SSME (popup rollovers using Illustrator)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOVRMVdZbVE (popup rollovers using InDesign)
    (4) I think that embedding would make the file to big, so I may opt for the hyperlink to youtube option, even if I deeply dislike that message, although youtube is a reliable source for the viewer.
Any other input is very welcome. I am pretty illiterate in the field!
    Have a nice weekend,

  • Problems when embedding animations (aka videos) in Captivate 4

I am still encountering a major problem with embedded videos.
I have a main project and within this project I am selecting Insert Animation (a swf file).
The problems are many, depending on whether I preview, publish to hard drive, or publish to Connect Pro.
In short, the videos do not play correctly.
    Problems include:
    - Embedded video will play about 1/2 way and go black (when in preview or published locally);
    - The first embedded video on slide 13 (example) will begin playing its audio on slide 1 (when published locally or on Connect Pro)
    - Only the first 1/2 second will play before going blank (when published on Connect Pro)
It does not seem to matter what the timing options are or if I select Sync with project.
This issue was discussed in the past, in fact, a solution was found. There is a 3rd party widget made by Michael that solves this embedded video problem. The caveat is that it does not work when the project is saved on Connect Pro.
See this like for more information: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2352409#2352409
I currently have a tier 2 case with Adobe technical support but I am wondering if anyone is doing what I am trying to accomplish and if so, have you found your own solution?
    Thank you

    Hi Shawn
I'm guessing the black part goes away when you view the project without Connect Pro in the picture?
I haven't managed to test this yet, but one thought I had was to try creating a one slide Presenter project in Microsoft PowerPoint. Add the Captivate SWF to the PowerPoint slide. Then add the loader SWF as a Presenter Attachment.
My hope here is that the attachment would be stored in the same folder location as the rest of it all. Then Captivate would find it and work with it.
If that fails, you could also try adding the loader SWF and the additional SWF on the same slide as the main Captivate SWF.
You might give that a go and see how far it takes you.

  • How can I block the autoplaying videos in this webpage?

On right column of this webpage ([http://www.wenxuecity.com/news/2015/03/11/4096330.html]), there is an autoplaying video, which I outlined in a red box. (You might need to refresh one more time for the video appears, as the website sometimes play flash or picture ad instead of video).
I tried severl addons to block videos and flashes, but none of them works or I don't know how to use them properly. Can someone help? Thanks!

If you set Shockwave Flash to "Ask to Activate" then sites can't load Flash media without your permission. The built-in permission feature is global, so once you give permission on page 1, the site has permission on pages 2, 3, 4, etc. The "Click to play per element" extension overrides this so you can give permission only to specific pieces of media you want to play.
Let's verify that Flash is set to "Ask to Activate" on the Add-ons page. Either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. Then, on the right, if Shockwave Flash is set to "Always Activate", change the permission to "Ask to Activate".
When you visit a site that wants to use the Flash, you should see a notification icon in the address bar (looks like a little block of Lego) and one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an infobar sliding down between the toolbar area and the page.
Hopefully this will make it easier to manage.
Note: I suggest disabling the Flash Block/Flash Stopper extensions to avoid potential conflicts while you test this out.

  • Embedding gigapan panorama's into a webpage

    Hello all,
I'm having a little issue with embedding a panorama hosted by Gigapan into my webpage. I can successfully use this chunk of code to embed it:
    <iframe src="http://gigapan.com/xxxxxxx.html" frameborder="0" height="400" scrolling="no" width="100%"></iframe>
I want to be able to zoom in and out of the panorama with the mousewheel WITHOUT simultaneously scrolling up and down on the webpage itself. Does anyone have an recommendations? I thought of maybe using onmouseover to lock the webpage from scrolling while on the panorama but couldn't find a way to use onmouseover in an iframe.
Also I fully acknowledge that I am a huge noob

  • Is it possible to save a Flash video from a webpage?

So you can't right / ctrl click and save as, but is there any other way of saving Flash videos from webpages? Or would that conflict with what Flash was designed to do? (I'm thinking that perhaps publishers want to control and monitor viewing of their content, rather than release it for uncontrolled redistribution. Fair enough.)
As someone looking at getting into publishing Flash content, is there any way for me to enable viewers to download content? I haven't got to the Publishing for Web chapter in my Flash book yet, so maybe I'll learn all about this soon enough...
...though any input would be appreciated.

Yay it worked after a bit of trial and effort (was holding buttons Dow too long).  Thanks so much for your help
