hey guys i am trying to embed video that has a frame rate of
25fps but my flash document is 12fps. So when i watch the flash
play, the videos are in slow motion, how can i make them go 25fps
without changing the documents fps to 12?

No, you cannot embed a working font in a fla (or any native
graphics
format to my knowledge)--fonts are often protected/licensed.
Even if you
could embed a useable font, flash would then also need to
convert the font

Firefox for Android crashes on all three of my Sony Xperia V's (LT25i), usually when a page contains one or more embedded videos or Flash animations.

I have three Sony Xperia V (LT25i) phones, all of which are running the latest Android firmware version (for that model (9.2.A.2.5) to date. Since I had been using Firefox since 2007, I tried numerous times to run Firefox on all three with limited success. The browser crashes whenever I load a page that had embedded videos or any other form of animation. The issue was so frustrating that it caused me to stop using Firefox altogether and switch to Chrome, which is in no way nearly as sophisticated, streamlined and feature-rich as my formerly-beloved Firefox - a situation which I would very much like to reverse. Thanks.

Oh, there are too many to list - basically any page that's even slightly heavy-handed with videos and/or animation.
For the record, I managed to ''somewhat'' alleviate the issue by uninstalling Adblock Plus, but I haven't yet done enough testing to verify that Adblock Plus ''actually was'' the root cause of the problem. However, that didn't solve the issue of the text on any page flickering at five-second intervals, which makes reading longer articles a very annoying and unpleasant experience.

All embedded videos in internet articles and on Youtube play sound but no picture

My problem only started about 2 weeks ago . Before that I could directly play any video that was on Youtube or any video embedded in an internet download.
Now the video plays, in the sense that I have sound and the elapsed-time bar moves along the bottom of the screen, but there is no video picture, just a full green screen. This applies to any video on Youtube or embedded in an internet download.
I can still play any video that I have previously downloaded to my PC, be it Flash Video file or MP4 file.
The players installed on my PC are the latest versions of Windows Media Player, VLC Media Player, Media Player Classic and Adobe Flash Player.
The problem started at about the same time there was a major upgrade to my Avast free antivirus program (to version 8.0.1482) but this is probably a red herring, as I find it hard to believe that could have anything to do with the problem.
I have also tried on Internet Explorer and the problem is just the same, so it is not Firefox specific.
Can anyone offer a solution?

I disabled protected mode in Flash, as per the instructions in the link you provided, but it made no apparent difference.
I can't find how to disable the hardware acceleration in the flash plugin. Can you help me there?
I did disable the Shockwave Flash plugin as a trial and immediately the videos appeared again in imbedded videos in internet downloads. Why disabling Shockwave Flash allowed these pictures to appear I don't know.
It is not practical, however, to leave Shockwave Flash disabled because many of the embedded videos use Flash so I can't view them.

Embedded videos do not appear in 6.0

I installed Safari 6.0 into Lion (I haven't yet quite got the courage to leap to 10.8) and am unhappy to find that embedded videos, YouTube / Flash at least, simply no longer appear. There's only a big empty unresponsive space where they should be (no outline, no box, no indication that there is anything present, just vertical displacement of text).
The videos appear and play fine in YouTube itself, and they're still fine in Firefox. I'm running the latest version of Flash and do not have ClickToFlash or any other Flash-blocking plug-in installed.
Thoughts?

Helpful troubleshooting tip! Disable extensions and see if anything changes. I traced the problem to a new extension called "Google Disconnect", which is intended to keep Google from seeing you at other websites. I suppose if I think through it hard enough I can see how that might block YouTube (aka Google) videos when presented off-site.
Can I give myself points for answering my own question?

Embedded videos won't play on any browser (youtube will, though)

Hi all, I'm at my wits end. I have a fairly new computer running Windows 7 64 bit OS. The problem is with non-Youtube embedded videos. Flash has been playing them only on IE up until today, now it won't work in any browser (including Chrome). (Youtube seems to work fine, embedded or not) As an example, when looking at Facebook, any embedded Youtube video plays just fine, but all other videos only give me the black rectangle of doom. I've just spent three hours following all the instructions here: I've uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted the registry key in these instructions. I've disabled ad blocking and turned off my only antivirus program (Microsoft Security Essentials). I've tried downloading Flash Player using every browser and both 32 and 64 bit versions of the browsers. Nothing makes the embedded videos play. The Flash version I have is 11.6.602.171 and the little movie with the ball going by the screen shows fine, and the correct OS is showing. I'm baffled and out of ideas. Thanks for any help!

There must be some other people who have encountered this same problem.

After updating to Flash version 11.6.602.171 - can no longer play any embedded videos..and worse

To begin with, I'm running a clean AMD 64 Bit Windows 7 System. Never any problems with any of my video playing scenarios - until now - with this version 11.6.602.171.
After downloading and installing both versions - both for Firefox (other browsers) and IE, none of my browsers can play videos unless they are at their lowest resolution of 240.
So I used the Adobe Flash Uninstaller and ensured that the last vestages of Flash Player were removed - and reinstalled - all to no avail.
Then I downloaded the archived version of 10.3 to see if a previous version would work. But that wouldn't work either. None of my browsers will play videos now and I'm talking:
IE 10
Firefox 19.01
Avant Browser
Google Chrome
Google Chromium
Commodo Dragon
Commodo Ice Dragon
Opera
Waterfox
Pale Moon
None will play the video.
What you get is the video screen but unless you have a 240 option (lowest resolution), all you get is a green screen. You hear the talking/music, but there is no picture and all the green screen does is flash. Here's a JPG of the screen. If you put your cursor anywhere on the progress meter (arrow) it will show you a small image of what's supposed to be playing (see below), but the screen remains green and flashes while playing.
Now here is where it gets interesting. When I completely uninstall Adobe Flash Player and then go to a You Tube embedded video (on any site), there first appears a screen that tells you that you need a plug-in - but then within seconds (without downloading anything), the movie starts playing normally.
I then checked my Firewall (Zone Alarm) - turned it off temporarily - that wasn't the problem. Then checked my latest version of Avast AntiVirus software and temporarily turned it off - that was not the problem either. The videos still won't work and remain green unless you use the lowest resolution.
So this new version 11.6.602.171 has become a nightmare - but I'm afraid it messed up my system big time and I don't know what to do to alleviate this.
Crying HELP!!!!!!!!!!   Is there something I'm overlooking. I'm now screwed - way to go Adobe for releasing such a faulty software product.

It sounds like we've got a number of *different* problems on this thread. I'll try and respond to a few of them.
@filter 2.5 and everyone else running into a green screen issue. Please try the solution outlined in the post below to see if it will allow you to use hardware acceleration. The other alternative is to try a different ATI driver.

Sometimes video and audio problems are caused at a lower level and not directly related to Flash Player. I recommend trying both of the links below to see how they perform. If the problem exists with both, then Flash Player is most likely not the culprit as the HTML5 video link does not use Flash Player when playing. You can verify the use of HTML5 by right clicking the HTML5 video and looking for the words "About HTML5" at the bottom of the context menu.

@mem2013 - The Flash Player update service will not impact Flash Player's performance. This is a separate service that runs for just an instant on your system once an hour (if you have automatic updates enabled.) Changing it from manual to automatic shouldn't make any difference.

Flash player not working on embedded videos

This week my computer stopped playing embedded videos (from vimeo) on my website. The window appears with the normal titles but no video.http://www.vevideo.ie/wedding.htm, only a small box in the top left hand corner.
My computer will play videos on vimeo etc no problem. I also noticed the same problems with a friends blog site, some of the videos I couls see and play, others no http://erolmedia.blogspot.com/
I uninstalled my flash player and reinstalled 10.1 with no difficulty. The problem remains

No embedded video (empty bar) in FF ver. 15 32bit. Sound plays. Flash ver. 11.4.402.265. No problems in IE. Windows 7 x64.

Installed FF 15 (32 bit) on a fresh copy of Windows 7 Ultimate edition (x64).
Everything works fine except the embedded video.
The video clip thumbnail is shown, when clicking on the clip the sound plays and the right-mouse click shows flash player options, but no video is shown (empty bar).
No problems on original YouTube or other flash video sites were detected.
No crashes detected.
Please, advise.

1) Started the FF in Safe Mode.
The embedded video works normally (!!!)
2) Re-started the FF in normal mode - got the problem.
3) Disabled ALL plugins and ALL add-ons (except the flash player) in Normal Mode - got the problem (once again, ALL plugins / add-ons were disabled).
Safe Mode - everything works.
Normal Mode - problem occurs (with no relation to disabling plugins / add-ons).
Looks like there's something built-in FF which has the problem with showing embedded video normally in FF Normal Mode.

Export to Flash with embedded QT or Flash video - can it work?

Is it possible to have an embedded video (either QT or Flash) in a Keynote '08 presentation and export the presentation as a Flash SWF file? I have tried saving the video in different QT and Flash formats then export to Flash using Keynote, but when I view the exported SWF file, the embedded video doesn't play. I'm unsure if it's not possible to do this or if I'm doing something wrong.

No, this would have required Apple to build a Flash video encoder engine into Keynote's export module. You'd think if it was already a flash movie, it would work, but it doesn't, so assume they just didn't bother building in support for embedding flash movies into a flash export.

Help Exporting Embedded Video Files From Flash

I am new to Flash and this may sound, well dumb but here it goes. I have taken some video files from Final Cut Pro converted them to FLV's imported them and embedded them into flash to create some banners for the web. I need to know what settings I should use to get these out of Flash for the web.
Also I need to send them to someone to look at before publishing. What would be the best format to do that in and how to do it.
Also has anyone has any experience creating banners in or online ads in a Video format like FCP and embedding them into a flash file to export them in flash for we publishing. Sorry again for the dumb question, just new to Flash.

Is there a reason why you embedded the video in Flash rather than using the FLV player?
Starting with the video, since you have the source you can create any type of format you need from that which can be used for preview or the final version depending on where it's going to end up and what is required or preferred. Flash comes into play if the requirement is to have a SWF/FLV other than some other video format, or if you have other Flash content going on at the same time besides the video.
But using Flash for this, the most stratghtforward way is to use the FLV player included with Flash (or another 3rd party player) and point it to your FLV.

Flash Pro, How can preview sound with the vidio on embedded video on the timeline

I am using a windows 7 based machine Flash Pro CC. I embedded the video on the timeline, basically a person talking. Want to put pictures in and out during certain times of the discussion but when I press play on the preview these is no sound. When I test publish the project I get sound. How do I get the sound on the embedded video to play on the preview?

Flash wont play embedded videos only on some accounts

Here is my system and software configuration. Windows7 - IE8 32 bit -- latest Flash version. Flash plays embedded videos under administrator account but not on the other user accounts. Youtube and tests on adobe site shows flash working on all accounts. I've checked IE security settings and kill bit in the registry. Harware acceleration does not make a difference. I've unloaded and loaded Flash multiple times even in the other accounts changing account type to administrator temporarily. Nothing will make it work. I've checked firewall and Norton AV turning them on and off. I am out of ideas and out of patience. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi, just wanted to tell this is exactly the same problems I have. And I have tested like you said. My administrator user account can show embeded videos correctly, but both my non-adm user account can not show correctly embeded. And tried to change non-adm account to adm - did not help.
System: Vista home, IExplorer 9
Videos on Youtube.com plays perfect and the adobe "about" flash page shows I have installed latest and I see a spinning logo with my non-adm users.
I have also checked the kill-bit in registery.
But I did find out something, unfortunally it's not a solution, but a clue what's going on - I hope.
If I open this example webpage, all I can see are 2 blank frames and a icon in upper left corner.
If I open same weblink with my adminastror, I can see the videos.

After alot of search on the web, I found some ideas. Copy the below text and save it as "test.html", and open the file in IExplorer. This html text is a mix of collected html-text from above webpage and added some from youtube.com where you get the html-code to copy&paste to embed. The source at end is using IFRAME methode.
The only visible embeded sources using my non-adm account are those that has a "classid" added or IFRAME methode. If there is no "classid" my non-adm account only sees a blank frame and icon in upper left. My administrator account does see ALL sources.
But how to fix that I can see all embeded as non-adm user - sorry, I have no clue
One extra thing: I noticed when running IExplorer as non-adm user, I can see a line in the process-list in windows taskmananger, process-name "FlashUtil10n_ActiveX.exe" with info-text "Adobe Flash Player Installer/Uninstaller 10.2r152" if I try to view a webpage with flash source.
If I do the same thing with my administrator user this process is not listed in windows taskmanager.

Vista and Flash Player issues - no embedded video

Ok,
I've been wrestling with this for a week now. I upgraded from XP to Vista Home Premium 32-bit. After the upgrade, I cannot view embedded videos on any website(except Microsoft's cuz they use Silverlight).
I CAN, however, see videos on YouTube *IF* I change the URL to their Secure site. (HTTPS). I found this workaround in a post. This tells me that Flash Player is working, but somewhere in the Vista install, Vista is blocking non-secure websites from loading/playing embedded videos. I have used Yahoo's news pages as my test, but have had issues with embedded videos on FaceBook, and other websites that regularly post embedded vids, like the TV network sites, etc. I have gone through as many "fixes" as I could find posts on the Web, and none have fixed my problem. I tried downloading and installing Flash Player on Chrome and Firefox, and those didn't work either, so I know that A.) the problem is not the browser, B.) that the problem is not the codecs, as vids run on Youtube's Secure website. That leaves the OS as the culprit. I have gone through the Control Panel, and tried everwhere there that I could find a remote link to Internet security, to no avail. No one at Microsoft is interested in helping me; they just tell me to buy Windows 7. Are there any Vista gurus out there that may be able to help?

Could you try running through the steps outlined in this FAQ? In particular, make sure you delete the two folders specified within the %appdata% directory.
