Embeded video clip

Hello folks,
I would like embed a video of about 270 frames onto my
webpage. I used a Quicktime file which had no compression on it and
was perfectly sharp. I imported it to Flash with settings: 150
keyframes, bandwidth on maximum and quality 100. When I had placed
it on stage it looks like crap. Quality is gone, specially parts
when video is fast, like whitewater kayaking. Is there any trick
how to keep the original quality of the video? Mabye in settings ,
or make it into different format than quick time, etc. Thank you so
much for any advice or input.

Don't use Stencil.
Click on your foreground video. Type ⌘-Shift-M to add a mask layer. Drag your blocks replicator into the mask well.

  • Question about embedded video clips

    Hello all,
    I'm importing embedded video clips for the first time today
    and have run into what I'm sure is commonly understood by everyone
    else here. The video clip takes up as many frames as the video, but
    if I add frames after that, the clip starts to loop.
    What I want is for the clip to play once then remain
    displayed with the last frame visible to the end of the scene
    timeline. I'm guessing I need to place a script on the clip or
    something similar to keep it from looping? Thank you for any
    direction on this.
    Best regards,
    Scott

    just place it in a Graphic symbol (which is an option in the
    import wizard) or create a new graphic
    symbol and drag the video icon from library to it - place
    instance of Graphic symbol on stage -
    select it and tell it to Play Once in Properties.

  • Embedding Video Clip in premade background

    I'm currently working on making an orientation video from a powerpoint presentation. The client sent the presentation asking us to shoot footage, ebed it where she had specified, then make the whole thing into a DVD with music, voice over, etc.
    Since I can't import a powerpoint presentation into Premiere Pro, I'm now trying to figure out how to make the video clips about a fourth of their original size and have them play on the pre-existing slide (from the powerpoint which I imported with Photoshop).
    Does anyone know how I can do this? Does this question even make sense?
    Any help would be REALLY...helpful. Thanks.

    Make the videos fill size, import them into PowerPoint and resize their display there. Then burn the PP file to DVD for computer playback.
    You may also check out Adobe Presenter 7. It may suit your end goals even better.

  • Embedding video, works on my computers but not theirs, why?

    I have made a flyer that has an embedded video clip using Acrobat Pro 9 Extended.  It opens and plays ok on Professional Extended and Reader on one computer, also opens ok on Professional (non extended) and Reader on another computer.  I emailed the file to my client and he only has Reader.  He tried it on his computer and some other computers with Reader and said he gets an error (see below) which comes up when he opens it and doesnt even show the PDF at all.  He said he upgraded his Readers to the current version and still gets the error.  What else could be causing this?

  • Online video clips do not play correctly on all browsers

    I am unable to play video clips at the right speed without them stalling and stuttering. For example, a typical YouTube clip will not play correctly, so the video will stutter and the sound won't play in time with the video.
    This is especially frustrating when wanting to play music video clips as the song will stutter. This happens regardless of browser - Firefox, Safari or Netscape.
    I have a broadband Internet connection but wonder whether I need to adjust speed settings somewhere so sound and music play correctly.
    I have no problems playing songs via iTunes or watching video clips using Quicktime, it's just the embedded video clips on YouTube etc that won't play correctly.
    Any advice much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Rob

    Flash video is very CPU intensive, open activity monitor and look at your CPU usage while trying to watch a YouTube video, no doubt it is at 100%.
    Unfortunately there isn't much you can do about this - my 400 Mhz G3 can't handle flash video and by the look of some previous posts on the forum I'd be surprised if any can .

  • When I publish as an .mp4, the embedded .flv videos clip at the end

    I am using Captivate 6.0.1.240. I have .flv videos that were encoded using Adobe Media Encoder from a .mov file. The videos are embedded on the slide, as multi-slide synchronized video, but only distributed across one slide (as strange as this might seem, it is what was recommended to me because using Event Video resulted in choppy video).
    Now, the videos clip off a second or so before the end of the video. There are no transitions on the video slide or on the slide following it. I have tried extending the length of the slide beyond the length of the video, to no avail.
    What am I missing? How do I get the embedded .flv videos to play fully?

    Hi there,
    As you told you have checked that there is no transition on the Slide on which you have the video.
    Have you checked the transition effect on that video, whether Fade out only or fade in and fade out is selected. Select that multi slide video and click on the properties panel and check the transition on it.
    Also, if this video is on the last slide, check the fade in and fade out on the project. (edit > Preferences > Project > start and end)
    Thanks.

  • H.264 video clipping when embedded in captivate 6.0

    I am using captivate 6.1.0.319 and my embedded videos are clipping (not showing the last second or so)
    The videos are of a compatible screen size and generated using premiere pro as H.264 mp4 files.
    They work fine (although the audio volume is low compared to the other parts of the project - I think this is a known issue?!?) except for this clipping  at the end (of both the audio and video).
    The clipping occurs when I play the slide from the timeline, when I play the project, and when I generate the final output media (another mp4 file for upload to YouTube).
    The video is on stage and seems to play ok  with no clipping when i bring up the edit video timing dialog!
    The video has the same duration indicated on the timeline as the source video file so i cant see that i have deliberately clipped it
    Can anybody shed some light on this?

    Hi there,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
    Could you please elaborate a little more on what exactly you are trying to accomplish?
    If you saying that the videos are skipping the last few seconds, please make sure the frame per second of the inserted video and the project are same.
    Thanks!

  • CS5 Video Clip no longer auto plays

    Hi,
    I have a video player that I'm creating in Flash -- my video clips are on different scenes and I wanted a "menu" bar to allow the viewer to pick which scene they wanted. I found tutorials for various scrolling thumbnail menu bars and I eventually found a code which allowed me to click from scene to scene.
    However, now that the menu bar works, the video clips do not automatically play anymore and I'm not sure why.
    This is the link to my file: http://www.mediafire.com/?y7oofbwg444lnp8
    I only have one action script on the scene, which is the top layer that has [AS]stop();[/AS]
    I have two buttons on either side of the video clip:
    [AS]on (press) {
              nextScene(); play();
    }[/AS]
    [AS]
    on (press) {
              gotoAndPlay("SI", 1);
    [/AS]
    This is the coding for the scrolling menu bar:
    Frame 1:
    [AS]// Photoscroller 2.0

    // E-mail: barry@e-factory.
    // Upgraded by: Rob Gungor

    // I don't care if u use this thingy, you don't have to
    // give me credit for it. Just knock yourself out with it!!
    // If you like it or have suggestions, just drop me an e-mail!
    // **stupid people tip**
    // to use this scroller as is --
    //copy all the frames in the timeline (by right/(control //for mac) click, copy frames)
    //then right click on your timeline  and paste frames
    //sorry if that is insulting, but when I first started this stuff, I was dumb too :-)
    // Okay... First let's set some variables......
    // Xphoto = startposition of the scoll image
    xphoto = 258;
    // Widthmovie = This variable hase to be set to the
    // same amount of the moviewidth
    widthmovie = 325;
    // Scrollspeed = The scollspeed of the image (high numbers result in slow scrolls 10=average)
    scrollspeed = 25;
    // widthphoto = the width of your scrollable image in pixels
    widthphoto = 2116;[/AS]
    Frame 2:
    [AS]// Setting the xmouse to 0 in the centre of the movie:
    xmouse = _xmouse - (widthmovie / 2);
    // Setting the speed:
    speed = (xmouse) / scrollspeed;
    // If the speed is negative, the speed will be made positive here:
    if (speed < 0) {
              speed = -(speed);
    //new function courtesy of Rob
    //basically says that if the mouse isn't betwen these two y points it won't work
    //**stupid people tip**
    //make sure that you figure out the top and bottom y points of your "photo" and insert them accordingly!
    mouseposition = getProperty("/myself", _y);
    if (_ymouse < 330) {
              speed=0;
    if (_ymouse > 390) {
              speed=0;
    // If the mouse moves to left, the photo will scroll to the right:
    // (That makes sense.... Doesn't it!! ;-)
    if (xmouse < 258) {
              xphoto = xphoto + speed;
    // If the mouse moves to the right, the photo will scroll to the left:
    if (xmouse > 258) {
              xphoto = xphoto - speed;
    // Checking for the left end of the image:
    if (xphoto > 258) {
              xphoto = 258;
    // Checking for the right end of the image:
    if (xphoto < -(widthphoto - widthmovie)) {
              xphoto = -(widthphoto - widthmovie);
    // Placing the moviclip (photo) on it's new postition:
    setProperty("photo", _x, xphoto);
    [/AS]
    [AS]gotoAndPlay (2)
    // make sure this clip this in your movie when you copy it.
    //**last stupid people tip**
    // if you copy these frames into any other frames other than 1, make sure you change the frame that it repeats (ie. if you copy these 3 action frames into 5,6,7 "gotoAndPlay (6)")--
    ///ok duh-i know. :-)
    // The mouseovers are quite simple. Just open the Movieclip "MouseOver"
    // to see how it works...
    //                                       Have fun!!!!!
    //**i realized that it's more fun when drinking beer.
    //-rg
    [/AS]
    Then inside the thumbnail, to make it serve as a button:
    [AS]on (rollOver) {
              button2.gotoAndPlay(2);
    on (rollOut) {
              button2.gotoAndPlay(16);
    on (release) {
              // You can assign an actionscript to each Button in here:
              _level0.gotoAndPlay("my_target1");
    }[/AS]
    Thanks!

    you need to remove:
    gotoAndPlay (2)
    so your video can play.  you've embedded your flv into your timeline so it only plays when the timeline plays and that goto is preventing the timeline from playing.
    of course, if you remove that the thumbnail code won't work.
    bottomline:  your project code is a mess and using an flv in a timeline is not what you should be doing.
    you should have no code attached to objects, no frame loops and no flvs embedded in a timeline.  you should attach your code to a timeline, user an enterframe loop and use an flvplayback component to play your flv(s).

  • Using Windows Media video clips in iWeb

    I purchased Flip4Mac to begin encoding Windows Media movies for publishing via iWeb. I have discovered it is not possible to include Windows Media clips in iWeb pages. iWeb automatically queues QT on any browser viewing the page with a movie embedded regardless of the movie's format. Is anyone aware of a work-around for this?
    As much as I like QT and besides the fact that it is a far superior product to Windows Media, QT has a very limited presence on PCs where admin. privs. are required to download software. This excludes a significant number of corporate machines and libraries, a big viewing market for my site. Since my site is basically a video clip library, I'd like to find a solution for this.

    YOU ARE RIGHT "MOST" people will see your stuff on a windows PC
    HERE IS A SUPER SIMPLE SOLUTION that will pull up the windows media player & play your video
    You need to make a non-movie page, any will do. Start your movie and take a photo of it with shift-apple-4. This will give you an image of the movie and also the Windows Media Player frame. Place this image on your page, give it a title etc and make sure the image is selected. Using the inspector, chose Link to File. When you do this, navigate to the wmv file that corresponds. When you upload your site, that file will be stored along with it and when the link is hit the wmv movie will launch

  • No embedded video (empty bar) in FF ver. 15 32bit. Sound plays. Flash ver. 11.4.402.265. No problems in IE. Windows 7 x64.

    Installed FF 15 (32 bit) on a fresh copy of Windows 7 Ultimate edition (x64).
    Everything works fine except the embedded video.
    The video clip thumbnail is shown, when clicking on the clip the sound plays and the right-mouse click shows flash player options, but no video is shown (empty bar).
    No problems on original YouTube or other flash video sites were detected.
    No crashes detected.
    Please, advise.

    1) Started the FF in Safe Mode.
    The embedded video works normally (!!!)
    2) Re-started the FF in normal mode - got the problem.
    3) Disabled ALL plugins and ALL add-ons (except the flash player) in Normal Mode - got the problem (once again, ALL plugins / add-ons were disabled).
    Safe Mode - everything works.
    Normal Mode - problem occurs (with no relation to disabling plugins / add-ons).
    Looks like there's something built-in FF which has the problem with showing embedded video normally in FF Normal Mode.

  • Embedding video into imovie

    Can anyone tell me if imove embeds video into imovie project, or does is always need to find the video file to play it?
    thanks

    fryedmeb,
    I'm not sure if I completely follow your question, but I'll take a stab at it.
    What appears as a single iMovie project file is really a package containing all the necessary media for the project. Video clips, audio clips etc.
    It also contains a reference file with instructions on how all the pieces get put together to form the project.
    But, at the iMovie project stage, all the media are discrete pieces. "Unembeded" so to speak.
    Once you output (Share) your iMoive to, say, a full quality DV QuickTIme file, the movie is then rendered as one self contained file.

  • Some questions on controlling embedded video

    I am preparing a brochure with lots of embedded videos. I have found that Acrobat does embedded video very well and reliably. The videos are large in physical size so they are enabled from a small thumbnail and run in a window. The documents I have done in the past have had only one clip on a page and I set the clip to disable when the current page is not visible. Some videos are over one minute so if the reader moves on to another page while the clip is running the clip window disappears.
    The brochure requires several video clips per page, so I need to make it easy for the user to dismiss a clip window they are finished with. No matter what window settings I use for the clip the windows close button (top right) is miniscule, and I am concerned reader either won’t notice it or find it hard to use. The “Disable when” options in the Edit Video dialog box are very limited, ideally I want a disable when user clicks anywhere outside the clip window, as this isn’t possible I am looking for an alternative. I have considered the following but it looks like none of these are possible or practical:
    Dedicated “Close Video” button- there appears to be no command available to user buttons to do this.
    Place all clips on their own dedicated page and when the user clicks the “clip icon” it navigates to the video clip page which as a “return’ button which navigates back. This would only work reliably if the user is forced to use the documents page navigation and prevented from using acrobat’s page navigation. Even if you switch off display of acrobat’s navigation buttons it still responds to keyboard arrows.
    Any suggestions?
    Also when I embed the clip I draw a small rectangle and use “retrieve poster from media” sometimes it puts a small “Play’ icon on the poster and sometimes it doesn’t, its not clear to me how to control this.
    Many thanks
    Murray

    Unfortunately there's always a delay as a Rich Media annot (de)activates, in part due to Acrobat/Reader being a 32-bit application. Rich Media is stored in the PDF file as compressed data, so every time it opens Acrobat/Reader has to churn through a heap of memory-intensive operations to prepare it for handoff to Flash Player. On deactivation, there's a similar amount of reorganization to clear things up. Not a whole lot you can do about it, sorry. Things should improve in future versions.
    In terms of the highlight effect when you click a button, that's probably the default "invert" style which all buttons get. You can chage it to an outline instead (on the Options tab of the button's properties) but you can't make the inversion effect any more distinct. If you want to do something like making the click effect turn the button face pure yellow, then change the button's type to "push", also on the Options tab, and load a yellow bitmap or PDF image as the icon of the "down" state. Getting the icon to scale properly is controlled by the Advanced button on the Options tab - choose "non-proportional" and "always scale" to make it fill the rectangle. Of course you can put icons in the other states too if you want, but they'll hide the video thumbnail.

  • Embedded Video Audio Sync Problem

    I have been exporting Flash Video from Adobe Premiere
    Elements 3.0. I import the .FLV into Flash 8 as embedded video. The
    published .SWF works fine, audio and video start in sync and stay
    in sync, but about 3/4 through the video, audio stops.
    This occurs no matter how short or long the exported clip.
    I did my best searching through these forums, looking for an
    answer to this issue, but have had no success.

    Do you need to embed the FLV file in the SWF file? I would
    recommend playing the FLV as an external file. If you need to use
    embedded video, make sure the frame rates are identical (SWF and
    FLV). I can't remember if Premiere Elements enables you to output
    with Raw audio for FLV files, but Flash 8 (or CS3) will recompress
    an embedded video's audio track on publish/export--so, try to use
    Raw if you can to avoid recompression. This might have something to
    do with your problem too, the recompression of the MP3 audio track
    in your original FLV when re-exporting as embedded video in the
    SWF. (Your audio stream setttings in the Publish Settings control
    the quality/recompression of your FLV output when embedded in the
    SWF.)
