Embeding fireworks slideshow

I am able to create a fireworks slideshow and view it fine
via the index html page and also when I open the flash player from
the slideshow file in adobe flash but when using the insert flash
command in dreamweaver the player displays but no photos.
Images work fine in the dreamweaver slideshow application but
i want the flexibility of the fireworks show.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Yes but, although all the thumbs are there only one, the

Yes, so there is obviously something different
about the Manufacturing album, and something different about the
second image. What?
quote:
I would have thought that would have provided you with enough
info to pin point the problem though?
Well, no. I can't see your code; I can't see
your file structure; I can't tell what going on. I don't know why
the one that works does, nor why the rest don't. I don't use the
slideshow, so I'm not familiar with it. I do know that if you
reference a file by the wrong name, it won't show on a Web page.
That's a common symptom, so I'm hypothesizing that your problem is
file naming. It may be something else. But until you can post the
folder and file names like I asked, I don't have the info I need to
tell.

I managed to get it to work ok here

Uh huh. And your album names don't have spaces
in them and it looks like you have image names below the large
images when they display and they all have single character
strings, too? No spaces and the slideshow works?
I still think the problem may be that you have some spaces
someplace. Look at your folder and file names carefully to make
sure you have no spaces in them. Rebuild your slide show from
scratch. Delete all the slide show files and folders off your
server, then upload the new ones.

  • How do I place a Fireworks slideshow onto my webpage?

    I want to place a fireworks slideshow into a table on my webpage but I have no idea how to do so. I don't want any thumbnails or any album titles to show up, just a rotation of the pictures I created within fireworks.
    One thing to note is that my site is also not online at this point and I'm currently developing in an offline working folder. I'm not sure if that will affect the ability to play flash.
    If there is no way to effectively upload a fireworks slideshow onto DW is there another way to add a rotating pictures slideshow without having to spend money on an application or additional program?
    Thanks in advance for the responses.

    Take a look at quite a few slideshow options here:
    http://www.1stwebdesigner.com/resources/57-free-image-gallery-slideshow-and-ligh tbox-solutions/
    All use jquery - which is quite easy to implement and you can create everything locally (on your own machine) and then upload everything to your server when done

  • Import Fireworks slideshow to Dreamweaver page

    Hi,
    I created a photo gallery (slideshow) in Fireworks CS4 and everything is working smoothly. Now I want to add this slideshow to my Dreamweaver page BUT I am new to this and I don't know how to include it.
    I noticed that depending on the type of fireworks player it creates different files (html, swf). I used the FW slideshow template: Player - Black (Flash Plug In not required) and it created an index.html file.
    How can I add the index.html page to my website template? I want for it to show after my navigation bar etc.. I don't want it in a seperate file but include it to my PhotoGallery.html page.
    I also tried different players and I can't get for it to load. SWF files do not play when i check it in LiveView.
    If someone can help me with this I would appreciate it. I have been struggling for a day now and I can't get it to work with any type of player.
    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks for your reply. I did try the copy and pasting before contacting this forum and it doesn't work.
    I would appreciate if someone had a tutorial on this and thanks for asking someone to post this.
    I'm new to the Adobe world and I'm liking it! There are so many features in the software that I just want to make sure that I learn the proper way to incorporate the 'objects'.
    In the mean time what I have done is created an iframe.
    <iframe src="otherpage.html"/>
    This is working for now but I'm sure there is a better way!!

  • How to add fireworks slideshow to dreamweaver cs4?

    I have created a slideshow in fireworks and saved it to my root directory and linked it to a div within a webpage on www.yssinc.net.  The gallery appears but without any of the images.  Help! I have seen other posts with this problem but have not seen a solution.
    Thanks in advance.

    So a plain html page, not a child page of the template?
    From your original post you say that you get a 'template error message'.
    Are you trying to insert it into an editable region declared in the master template?   You can't try and place code into a child page, if it hasn't been prepared to take any code unless it's into a defined editable area.
    If it's a navbar of some sort, it should go into the master template page, so that it can be shared across all the pages created form the template.
    If I'm way off base - sorry  :-)
    You may want to upload the pages you are having problems with a provide a link... better to see the code in action if at all possible.

  • Embedded flash slideshow link does not open

    Hi, I have a problem that my slideshow works great when not
    embedded, I can click the pictures and the link opens in the same
    window just like I want. However, when I embed the slideshow the
    links do not work. I attach my embed code. Thanks for your help.
    Best Regards Eva

    yes. the flash generated html file contains all the code you
    need to embed flash. you could use alternative methods (swfobject
    is the best known) but if you're going to use the code from the
    flash html file, you need to use all of it. you've displayed only
    part of the embedding code.

    Have you reviewed the Fireworks help files on the subject?
    In a nutshell:
    • Export the slideshow to a specific folder (your site's
    local root
    folder or a sub folder within it.
    From there, you can access the generated html page(s) from
    within
    Dreamweaver.
    If this is not the issue, you will need to be more specific
    on the
    problems you are experiencing.

  • Problems embedding keynote slideshow on my website

    I have uploaded a keynote presentation from my iPad to iWork.com.  I would like to embed this presentation on my website but there is no "show embed code" option under the "show public link" option when I am signed into iWork.com.  I do not see anyone posting about this so I'm not sure why I don't have this option or how I can get the code to embed my keynote presentaiton as a slideshow.  Please help!

    ok i understand
    I've just check what you explained in your email and you are right :
    When you share your document thanks to the option "publish on the web", you first have the possibility to copy an embed code (i pasted it on Textedit and it works perfectly). But once it's done, unfortunately, it seems not possible to retreive the embeded code on the website.
    I am sorry not to give you a better answer, but for me either it is not possible to find the embeded code in the iwork.com website
    the only one solution i found is to upload again the keynote file.
    Best regards,

  • How do I insert Fireworks Slideshow (non flash) into Dreamweaver?

    I have been trying to import a slideshow from flash that I created from the built in template. I used the player that does not require a flash plug in and I cannot figure out how to insert it into my webpage in Dreamweaver. When I post the code directly it says that I have to enable java script?  I am new to dreamweaver/fireworks and coding. I know that it should be simple, but I have not been able to figure it out.  Thank you for any help you can offer!

    I don't use that function, but here's a list of articles that may prove useful:
    http://community.adobe.com/help/search.html?q=creating+a+slideshow+in+dreamweaver&lbl=drea mweaver_product_adobelr&self=1&hl=en_US&lr=en_US&area=0
    You could also look at using jquery, very simple to use and help docs come with most of the apps.

  • Embedding a Slideshow into a Webpage - Help Please!

    Do any of you good people know a way of / have experience of creating a slideshow of images and embedding them in a webpage?
    I have created a flash slideshow through Photoshop, It will run as a webpage on its own, however I cannot get it to embed in an existing webpage in Dreamweaver. I am using Photosho[p CS3 and Dreamweaver MX2004
    If not, do you know of any other way that I can create a slideshow and embed it into my Dreamweaver page.
    Any ideas / advice would be gratefully and greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!

    In a word, jQuery.  Flash isn't as widely supported these days.

  • Fireworks Slideshow

    After trying multiple photo albums from the web, I found the
    slideshow generator in FW to be the best option for my needs.
    I want to place the slideshow on my website, so I EXPORT the
    album to my site in DREAMWEAVER. But I noted when I generate the
    slideshow it creates a index.html which overwrites the original
    index.html in my site folder. Can anyone please inform on how to
    work around this. Also, if I generate several slideshows for my
    site, how can I name them so my site can distinguish the different
    albums. New to this, so any advice on a streamlined workflow
    appreciated.

    Genrate your slideshows to a sub folder in your dreamweaver
    site.
    As for the 'several slideshows...' scenerio, why not just you
    one slide show, with different Albums. It's less overhead, compact
    and easier to manage. To add new albums just click the + to the
    upper right and set properties for that album, and then repeat.
    Albums in this case is equivlenet to 'Categories' you typically see
    amoung other slideshows out there.

  • Problems embedding Flash slideshow from external site

    I currently have a photography website with SmugMug where I host most pictures that I want to share online; they have an option that lets you create a Slideshow and allows you to copy the HTML embed code.  So I stuck that into the page HTML, but every time I try previewing it on the web, nothing shows up.  When I use the Validate function, it says the tag "embed" is not used in HTML 4.0, but I don't know if that's the problem or not.  Here's the code provided:
    Any clues as to why it won't work?

    Why can't I get my code to show up?  I'm using the "Insert Raw HTML" icon and get the box, into which I paste it.  Guess I need to look up that FAQ.
    Here it is just plain:
    <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="400" height="400" id="ssidx">

    <param name="wmode" value="transparent">
    <param name="allowNetworking" value="all">
    <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always">
    <embed src="http://www.cdpayetphotography.com/ria/ShizamSlides-2009073001.swf?AlbumID=9536524&AlbumKey =DLfKT&transparent=true&bgColor=&borderThickness=&borderColor=&useInside=&endPoint=&mainHo st=www.cdpayetphotography.com&VersionNos=2009073001&showLogo=false&width=400&height=400&cl ickToImage=true&captions=true&showThumbs=true&autoStart=true&showSpeed=true&pageStyle=whit e&showButtons=false&randomStart=false&randomize=false&splash=&splashDelay=1000&crossFadeSp eed=350" width="400" height="400" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="always" allowNetworking="all"  >
    </embed>
    </object>
    Like I mentioned in the first post, Dreamweaver's validation tool said that the "embed" tag is not valid in HTML 4.0.  The page is written in DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional.

  • Fireworks Slideshow (swf) Not working well when loaded into flash

    Hi guys,
    I made a slideshow recently in FW and exported as swf. Created a new project in flash cs4 and loaded
    the slide show as an external swf.
    When i test my project, the slideshow loads well, but there is no slideshow! i.e. the pictures doesnt change.
    And also when i click the thumbnails, only changes for the first picture, then stays static.
    Any help will be much appreciated.
    here is my code:
    import fl.containers.UILoader;
    var uiLoader:UILoader = new UILoader();
    uiLoader.source = "player_black.swf";
    uiLoader.move(384, 160);
    uiLoader.scaleContent = false;
    addChild(uiLoader);

    Yes.
    it returned AVM1 . So I gess FW  generated an AS2.
    Is it possible to set FW to export swf in AS3?
    or the only solution is to redo all my project into as2?
    The latest would be a painstaking job, once i dont know as2 , only intermediate as3.
    appreciate your help,
    Mike

  • Embedding a slideshow into my existing website

    I have created a thumbnail slideshow in Muse that I would like to embed in my existing business website.  What is the best way to do this, or is it even possible?  I have tried to publish to catalyst from Muse and then right click, view source on the slideshow, and then copy and paste the code directly into the code on my site, but when I do this, I only see "red x" images.  Basically, I want a thumbnail slideshow on my home page with pictures that can then be linked to other parts  of the site. If it is possible to do this, step by step instructions would be appreciated, as I am not an experienced web designer.  My business site is a template I have added content to through the host of the site, if that makes any sense.
    Thanks in advance,
    Randy

    The reason you are getting red x's is because the code cannot find the images associated with them. To view the code, you should export the HTML instead of viewing the source in the browser.
    To successfully copy the widget you're going to need to copy all of the enccessary assets, not just the HTML.
    This includes all of the: HTML, CSS, Javascript and images
    Hope this helps,
    Julia
