EMC Recoverypoint

Has anyone used EMC Recovery with an Oracle database for Disaster Recovery purposes. Any gotchas or information that may be helpful for a new implementation? What can I do with recoverpoint that I can't do with data guard or another Oracle technology?

I'm not sure what you mean by DR in this case -- storage snapshots are a way to recover from logical problems, but don't help you when the SAN / data center have a problem. Data guard lets you have a remote standby database that is up to date and not dependent on the same storage device.
The database should be in hot backup mode when the snapshot is created to account for inconsistency in the scn / contents of a datafile.
Oracle has a white-paper on how to use storage snapshots:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/deploy/availability/pdf/oscp_snapshot_use.pdf
One quote (emphasis theirs):
"Storage Snapshots can also be used for implementing a *very limited* HA solution."
I'm not familiar with EMC Recovery, but NetApp has a tool that will interact with Oracle to get everything into hot backup mode as needed, so perhaps EMC does this as well.

You can connect the audio from your iMac to your TV using a mini jack (like headphones plug) to rca (regular red and white audio connectors used on every TV,DVD, etc) cable.
On your TV, you need to be able to set the audio for the HDMI input you will use to "analog" and connect the rca end of the cable to the analog inputs on your TV.

Hi Eliran,
Thank you for your question.
Are there any update recently?
We could refer to the following steps to troubleshoot:
1)disable A/V
2) Run: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821/en-gb
3) follow http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833/en-gb to upload %WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
4) disable snap-ins exept DNS-snapin
5) run SDP
6) enable A/V
We could also re-install .Net 4.0 to check if the issue persist by the following link:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17718
If the issue persist, we could install Exchange 2010 SP3 CU8 by the following link:

Hi my name is Silvana Pires,I purchased an I Phone 4 S Model A 1387 EMC 2430 SCC.ID DCG E

I look forward to your reply and a resolution of this problem.
Thank you very much!!!

You are welcome. I'm glad you got it back up.
(1) You say you did the symbolic link. I will assume this is set correctly; it's very important that it is.
(2) I don't know what you mean by "Been feeding the [email protected] for several weeks now, 700 emails each day at least." After the initial training period, SpamAssassin doesn't learn from mail it has already processed correctly. At this point, you only need to teach SpamAssassin when it is wrong. [email protected] should only be getting spam that is being passed as clean. Likewise, [email protected] should only be getting legitimate mail that is being flagged as junk. You are redirecting mail to both [email protected] and [email protected] ... right? SpamAssassin needs both.
(3) Next, as I said before, you need to implement those "Frontline spam defense for Mac OS X Server." Once you have that done and issue "postfix reload" you can look at your SMTP log in Server Admin and watch as Postfix blocks one piece of junk mail after another. It's kind of cool.
(4) Add some SARE rules:
Visit http://www.rulesemporium.com/rules.htm and download the following rules:
70sareadult.cf
70saregenlsubj0.cf
70sareheader0.cf
70sarehtml0.cf
70sareobfu0.cf
70sareoem.cf
70sarespoof.cf
70sarestocks.cf
70sareunsub.cf
72sare_redirectpost
Visit http://www.rulesemporium.com/other-rules.htm and download the following rules:
backhair.cf
bogus-virus-warnings.cf
chickenpox.cf
weeds.cf
Copy these rules to /etc/mail/spamassassin/
Then stop and restart mail services.
There are other things you can do, and you'll find differing opinions about such things. In general, I think implementing the "Frontline spam defense for Mac OS X Server" and adding the SARE rules will help a lot. Good luck!

IS THE SITUATION HOPELESS
I used Target mode to transfer files to a new i7 iMac running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 from an older Dual core Intel machine (EMC 2105) also on 10.6.8. but originally Tiger 10.4. The operation was successful and I ejected the disk icon from the new machine and powered down the old machine. When this was restarted the next day there was a grey screen with flashing Mac symbol alternating with a 'no entry' sign and occasionally a question mark.Keyboard and mouse were unusable so k inserted the original instal disc (No.1 for 10.4. with installer 1.0.4) which came with the machine in 2006 in an attempt to boot from this. The ensuing window said this was not possible and now it cannot be ejected.I have tried everything ! It offers Disk Utility and other options like Terminal but that doesn't work either.I 'repaired disk' and that was pronounced o.k. None of the various keystrokes at start up will work, and the computer will only offer the installer disc continually. The only option would seem to be is to erase the hard drive completely from the disc in the machine.I don't want to do this as there is still material which I need to recover. I think the drive has in some way been corrupted by using it in target mode, and I don't know if there are any other options to try.
Please tell me how to get this disc to eject !

Have you seen this type of problem before? I think it could be a serious issue for anyone in a similar position.
No; but then, I've not had occasion to use TDM. I've been using firerwire drives for over 10 years, both FW400 and FW800, with no issues except a bit of instability using a B&W G3 machine.
TDM should be safe. Using cautious, manual copying of files from the Target machine to the Host machine should not result in unexpected loss of files or damage to the Target drive's directories. It should behave exactly the same as if it were an external (to the Host) firewire drive.
• I don't suppose there is anything I can do to 'put back' lost items from a separate Time Machine drive which has an up to date backup on it.
There is probably a way to do that - seems to me that's one of the reasons for a Time Machine volume.
On the other hand, if the Time Machine volume is rigidly linked to the now-absent OS on the original drive, there may be no way to effectively access the files in the TM archive.
I know that using a cloned drive would work well in this instance.
I have no experience with Time Machine, so perhaps someone who has will chime in with suggestions.
With the machine in TDM with the other machine, have you tried running Disk Utility to see if you can effect repairs to the drive?

• Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard "Certificate Authority Service" / Exchange Server 2010 EMC not starting and no AD connectivity for authentication.

Hello,
I am a new IT Manager at this company and need assistance big time. Their environment looks as follows:
Server 1. Domain Controller Server (Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard) running active directory.
Server 2. Email Server (Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard) running Exchange Server 2010 .
* Note. No back ups to work with aside from whats mentioned below.
DC had a virus infection causing a lot of issues on the shared network drives 2 days ago locking up all the files with a crypto ransom virus. Running Avast suppressed the infection. Had to recover the file shares which luckily had a back up.
The issue is that the Exchange Server 2 post this lost connectivity with the AD Server 1. Exchange Server 2 when launching EMC could not launch the console stating the following:
"No Exchange servers are available in any Active Directory sites. You can’t connect to remote
Powershell on a computer that only has the Management Tools role installed."
Shortly after I found that it is possible the EMC launcher was corrupt and needed to be reinstalled following another blog post. I deleted the exchange management console.msc per instructions only to discover I couldnt relaunch it because there was
no way how. So I copied another msc file that happened to be on the DC Server 1 back to Exchange Server 2 and got it to launch again.
Another post said that it might be an issue with the Domain Account for the Computer, so to delete it in the AD Server 1 only to find that rejoining it from Exchange Server 2 using Computer>Properties> Chage Settings > Change is greyed out because
it is using the Certificate Authority Service.
I tried manually re-adding the computer in AD and modeling permissions after another server in group settings but no go. After this I was unable to login to the Exchange Server 2 with domain accounts but only local admin, receiving the following Alert:
"The Trust Relationship between this workstation and primary domain failed."
I tried running the Power Shell tools on Exchange Server 2 to rejoing and to reset passwords for domain accounts as noted in some other blogs but no luck as the Server 2 could not make the connection with Server1 or other errors it kept spitting out.
I also during the investigation found the DNS settings were all altered on both the Server 1 and Server 2 which I luckily was able to change back to original because of inventorying it in the beginning when I started.
I need help figuring out if I need to rejoin the Exchange Server 2 manually by disabling the Certificate Authority Service (or removing the CA as listed here:
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/fb23deab-0a12-410d-946c-517d5aea7fae/windows-server-2008-r2-with-certificate-authority-service-to-rejoin-domain?forum=winserversecurity
and getting exchange server to launch again. (Mind you I am relatively fresh to server managing) Please help E-Mail has been down for a whole day now!

I would like to mention that we also tried to add using Oracle Enterprise Manager (Version 12.1.0.3.0). Setup->Add target->Add Targets Manually. But under Add Targets Manually, there are three choices (radio buttons). We have tried all, but we didn't get it to add a target.

Why you need to run this report in R12?

Check the configuration on the EMC side. This error message is the heart of the problem:
"Unsupported LUN Addressing method 40 in response to REPORT_LUN"
A quick Googling leads me to believe this means you're trying to assign a LUN ID higher than 255 to the host.
Best of luck!

• Restore to a different node with RMAN and EMC Networker

Please, really need help :)
I took hotbackup using RMAN catalog which went to tape. Here is the script for that:
connect target sys/****@PROD;*
connect rcvcat rman/***@catalog;*
*run {*
allocate channel t1 type 'SBT_TAPE';
send 'NSR_ENV=(NSR_SERVER="**",NSR_DATA_VOLUME_POOL=Oracle)';*
*backup database plus archivelog;*
*release channel t1;*
My settings include control file autobackup as follows:
*RMAN> show all;*
*RMAN configuration parameters are:*
*CONFIGURE RETENTION POLICY TO RECOVERY WINDOW OF 10 DAYS;*
*CONFIGURE BACKUP OPTIMIZATION OFF; # default*
*CONFIGURE DEFAULT DEVICE TYPE TO DISK;*
*CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP ON;*
*CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP FORMAT FOR DEVICE TYPE 'SBT_TAPE' TO '/NMO_%F/';*
*CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP FORMAT FOR DEVICE TYPE DISK TO '%F'; # default*

*CONFIGURE ARCHIVELOG DELETION POLICY TO NONE; # default*
*CONFIGURE SNAPSHOT CONTROLFILE NAME TO '/data/backups/PROD/hotbkp/snapcf_PROD.f';*
I am trying to restore this backup that is on tape (EMC Networker) to a different node. I can do this outside of Networker without any problems. However, when I try to get the backup from tape I have this issue:
1. initPROD.ora is created and modified accordingly on a new server
2. Export sid, startup nomount on new server
export ORACLE_SID=PROD (on this new server)

Do a list command to see if the controlfile backup is on tape.
RMAN> list backup of controlfile;
I suggest you to read the manual of EMC Networker or call EMC on how to restore the database to another node. I am using Veritas Netbackup, it may be similar to EMC Networke for your reference. There are a few things that need to be followed when you restore database to another node:
1) set DB_ID, which you have done
2) set NB_CLIENT (in your case NSR_CLIENT) to the primary node from where backup was taken
3) configure the backup server to allow redirect restore between the two nodes.
Hope this helps.

• EMC - Certificate status could not be determined because revocation check failed.

I've exhausted my resources on this issue and am reaching out for some assistance. I have setup Server 2008 R2 Enterprise SP1, running Exchange 2010 SP1. In EMC I have successfully imported a GoDaddy SSL certificate. Although I am receiving the message -
"The certificate status could not be determined because the revocation check failed."
Here are the steps I've taken to troubleshoot this so far:
[PS] C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop>netsh winhttp show proxy
Current WinHTTP proxy settings:
Direct access (no proxy server).
As you can see, direct access. Which is true, no proxy's on this network.
For good measure, I'll dump the urlcache.
certutil -urlcache ocsp delete
certutil -urlcache crl delete
Both return 0, reboot server.
Comes back up, same message in EMC.
From PS, I test exactly what its getting from GoDaddy.

• Creation of EMCS Document

Dear all,
i have not found a clear instruction how to create a customs document for EMCS. I know that there is a function call "/SAPSLL/API_6800_EMC_CREATE". But i don't know how and where it is triggered in ECC?
Must i call this function call on my own? Eg. within BadI for creation of invoice or within BadI for post goods issue of outbound delivery?
Or is there a standard programm or include which calls the function call in GTS?
Thanks!
Regards Tobias

Hi,
please consider note 1478717. It also talks about the integration with the feeder system. You have to call the integration processes via direct calls of the interface. It is described in the last part of the note.
In the attachment of the note you will also find a PDF: AppHelp_ExciseDutyMonditoring_EN.pdf
Hope that will help.
Best regards, Christin

• SBS 2011 VM and Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V host. After rebuilding the host image, no email is received, EMC states "You don't have sufficient permissions to view this data" when looking at organization config. Server config not shown on EMC.

Hyper-V Host Server 2012 R2 x64 drive c:
All VMs, including SBS 2011 Standard x64 are on drive d:
I replaced my motherboard and defined a Marvell RAID 1 Mirror for my boot drive C:. My drive D: containing all of my Hyper V machines remained untouched since the new MB had Intel Matrix Controller with RAID 5, as did the old MB.
Since the C: drives are a few bytes smaller after configured as a RAID 1, I was unable to restore drive C from the image copy, so I rebuilt a new Hyper-V Host identical as possible using Server 2012 R2 x64. I had to redefine the Hyper-V machines on
the host, and the 1st time I brought it all (host and VMs) I had to reconfigure the NICs due to new MAC addresses, and verifying SBS 2011 DNS and DHCP for all physical and Hyper-V machines. Otherwise my Hyper-V SBS 2011 x(64) wasn't touched.
Now the SBS Exchange 2010 is not receiving mail. In the Exchange Management Console clicking on the Organization config gives me a highlighted error "You don't have sufficient permissions to view this data". The Server
Config is no longer on the EMC. The Recipient Config looks fine.
Outlook 2013 x64 connects to the Exchange Server, but no new mail appeared. There were just a few older messages that came in since the last time I opened Outlook. My public DNS on GoDaddy was not changed. I did not change sending mail
through my ISP Sonic.net. The SBS internal DNS doesn't have an MX record, but I'm not sure it ever did since my GoDaddy public DNS has an MX record.
I tried restoring to an earlier Image Copy, but that made no difference. I'm using the Windows Backup from SBS 2011 for my daily image copy backups.

Hi Michael,
à
After more research and running the Best Practices report from the EMC, I am missing a slew of ManagementRolesAndRoleGroups from the RBAC container.
Based on your description, it seems that you have find the cause of this issue. On current situation, I still
suggest that you should run
SBS 2011 BPA and then check if can find some relevant errors. Just for a confirmation.
Meanwhile, please refer to following articles and check if can help you.
Apply

Hope this helps.

• Cannot open EMC or EMS

I am stuck. I cannot open the EMC or EMS on either the Exchange 2010 server (all roles are on a single server) or on another server that I have the management tools installed on, both of which are Server 2012 R2. I keep getting Access Denied,
though at times it was Internal Server error (see below).
What I have tried already:
EMTshooter - could not determine the problem "Could not connect to any Exchange server in the current site. problem found: looking for error... unknown error"
Verified that kerbauth is registered on the PowerShell virtual directory and only the PowerShell virtual directory (Native/Local)
Ensured that SSL is not required on the root (Default Web Site), that it is required on the various virtual directories, except PowerShell, which it is NOT required on
Ensured that there is no redirection going on with any virtual directory or the root site
Verified the account is a member of the Organization Management Exchange Security Group and that that group is in the correct AD OU
Tried adding another Domain Admin account to the Org Mgmt group, and connecting as that user but same results
Tried resetting the Administrator profile and clearing all the cache files
Ensured the permissions on the physical directory grant my user (administrator, the account used to install exchange in the first place) access to it
Ensured it is pointing to the correct directory (C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ClientAccess\PowerShell"
Gone through the web.config file at that location and replaced instances of %ExchangeInstallDir% with the actual path (C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\)
Verified there is no web.config found at C:\inetpub\wwwroot
Verified in ApplicationHost.config the entry for WSMan (image="C:\Windows\system32\wsmsvc.dll")
Verified in ApplicationHost.config the entry for kerbauth (image="C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Bin\kerbauth.dll")
Verified no duplicate SPNs exist on the machine
Verified the account has remotepowershellenabled:$true
Ran WinRM quickconfig which returned the expected results
Went through the steps provided by David Strome in his EMC Permissions Part Deux posting up to step 6, where I ended up getting Access Denied as well
Checked with ADSIEdit and it appears the management rolls are as they should be
Get-ManagementRollAssignment also appears to return expected values (when run from a PowerShell session that has had the microsoft.exchange.managment.powershell.e2010 snap-in added); however, cannot run Get-ExCommand in that same PowerShell session
Ensured that Outlook is not and has not previously been installed on this machine (* as best I could... do not have entire history of the machine available)
The configuration of the machine is as so:
Exchange 2010 SP3 with Update Rollup 6 on Windows Server 2012 R2 fully patched and updated. It is utilizing a certificate issued by the Enterprise Root CA which is also on the same server. This certificate has the subject name of owa.domain.com
with an SAN of autodiscover.domain.com. The internal domain is the same thing, but .local, however, the virtual directories have been configured with both internal and external URLs that are identical and use the external name. DNS has been configured
the resolve the external names to the internal IP address for internal clients. It is the server replacing a 2003 Exchange server (different machine, obviously) which is still online.
The issue reared its ugly head because there was one user still on the 2003 machine that needed to be moved to the 2010 machine and when trying to open the console to create a move request, that's when it was found we could not get into the console.
During the above troubleshooting, there was a time when it was instead returning "cannot determine the content type of the HTTP response" and when I analyzed a Network Monitor capture of the conversation it was actually receiving a 500 - Internal
Server error response instead, but this was only for a short while and it has returned to the Access Denied messages.
I get the message whether or not I access via the Exchange Shell or Console. However, I can open PowerShell, add the exchange snap-in and run commands against the server. I cannot, however, create a new-pssession.
Enabling failure tracing on IIS for the PowerShell directory, the trace indicates the problem is that a parameter is incorrect:
Message
Failed to establish a secure encrypted connection.
Context
DoAuthentication
ErrorCode
The parameter is incorrect. (0x80070057)
However, what that parameter is, I have no clue since the request headers looked like this:
Connection: Keep-Alive Content-Length: 0 Content-Type: application/soap+xml;charset=UTF-8 Authorization: Kerberos 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

I would have liked to uninstall and reinstall Windows Management Framework and/or Windows Remote Management, but being Server 2012 R2, that is not an option.
Interestingly enough, users currently have no problems accessing their mailboxes, via Outlook or OWA - it's just we cannot manage the server. Any help on what to try next is greatly appreciated...
-Michael.

Two things I can think of to check. In IIS, under Default Web Site, PowerShell virtual directory, ensure that in SSL, Require SSL is not selected. In the HTTP Redirect virtual directory, ensure that there is no HTTP redirection selected.
These can be set wrong when you incorrectly configure HTTP Redirect.
Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."
Note where I said above:
Ensured that SSL is not required on the root (Default Web Site), that it is required on the various virtual directories, except PowerShell, which it is NOT required on
Ensured that there is no redirection going on with any virtual directory or the root site
